Avoid Sinking
As if all this is not enough to become incensed over, the Levite has the audacity to bring the concubine home, then he uses what happened to her (as if he really cared), to exonerate himself! Instead of giving her a proper burial, to show some sense of honoring her, he cuts her up into 12 pieces as though he’s cutting up an animal sacrifice and sends one piece to the elders of each tribe of Israel. They get the message and wonder aloud what to do about it.
Rev 14B: Reaping the Harvests
From this passage we learn that God is gathering a great harvest of souls. Commentators see these two harvests as either the first being for the righteous and the second for the wicked. For the righteous of course, eternal life is provided, and for the wicked, just and eternal punishment awaits. Some commentators believe the two are for the same harvest – the harvest for the wicked. The reason they believe it is repeated twice is for emphasis, showing that God will surely bring it about. It’s difficult to go into all the pros and cons of each view, but readers should avail themselves of study tools that may help them come down on one side or the other. Remember, we are trying to determine God’s meaning here, not what we think it means or what we want it to mean. What is God telling us here?

Rev 14: The Lamb and Proclamations
One of the biggest points that this text drives home is that God is GOD and there is no other! The fact that things are done according to God’s timing and for His glory often make us question His involvement in the affairs of humanity. However, it becomes exceedingly clear from Scripture that God is not only involved in our affairs (in our lives, locally, statewide and federally as well as globally), but in the affairs of all people throughout the globe! Our God not only holds all these things in His extremely capable hands, but nothing escapes His notice. Nothing.

Blasphemy Openly Increasing
We should actually rejoice at a person who becomes angry at the truth we present! That sounds odd, but if they are angry, they are actually still dealing with the issue of God because their conscience still works. Once they’ve pushed beyond it so that their consciences become seared and God literally gives them over to the lies they have chosen to embrace (Romans 1:24). At that point, they have no trouble with actual truth anymore, fully convinced the lies they believe are truth.
Rev 13: Beast Out of the Earth
The second beast even goes so far as to direct people on the earth to make some sort of image (statue or something), that represents the first beast. Obviously, the world does this because the second beast then was given power (by Satan most likely, or God allows it because in the end, He will be glorified), to “give breath” to that image the world created. This image will become very lifelike (again, by supernatural empowerment, not digital trickery), and cement the reality of his and the first beast’s power. Because of these things, people will flock after the second beast and trip over themselves to worship the first beast.

Catastrophic Contagion Next?
We are experiencing a huge uptick in “sudden deaths” all over the world, children as young as 6 (and in some cases, even younger), to twenty-something year-olds and middle aged people. These include athletes and others generally in good to excellent health. They’re dropping like flies and the government-appointed experts ignore all the deaths or shill journalists write articles on how too much exercise, particles in the air, too much laughter and more can now cause heart attacks. Yet these things have never been a problem before this. What changed? Must be the “climate.”
An Eternity of Regrets
I cannot imagine it. Living here one moment then being caught away through death into eternity where the truth is unavoidably clear and present. There is no trying to squeeze out from under it. No chance of pushing it away. It is stark and foreboding in its consistency and presence for all who await their judgment. It will not be denied as was so seemingly easy for so many to do in this life.
Artificially Constructed
Jesus specifically warned that deceivers would come. Paul echoed that sentiment as did Peter, John and other New Testament writers. It’s a very important subject and one that needs our constant attention, yet we often ignore the possibility that we can be deceived. All of this growing deception will ultimately lead to the entrance and acceptance of the coming man of sin or Antichrist; that one final satanically-infused individual who will lead much of the world astray and that’s what Jesus’ main point to His disciples was all about. That is why He warned them to “take heed” or “be totally alert” and even to watch for it to happen. Be aware that it will happen so be on guard. Are preparations in the works now?
Anxious? Confused? Fearful?
Habakkuk 3 begins with the prophet’s prayer to the Lord. Habakkuk heard God’s complaint and understood coming judgment was due to the need to purge evil from Israel. Certainly, the nation had been given plenty of opportunities because God is righteous as well as sovereign. There is no way God could continue to overlook the tremendous and continuing evil that existed within Israel. It had become a tremendous stench in God’s nostrils, which required Him to deal with it.
Is America Under Judgment?
What should also be noted is that Jones’ message is comforting for the believer. For those who faithfully seek Him, He rewards with blessing after blessing even in difficult times. It’s something that we should be staunchly aware of because our active, ongoing relationship with God in Christ matters in many ways. We grow to spiritual maturity, God uses us to spread His Word and comfort to those who are frail in faith. This cannot happen if we are preoccupied with our own affairs, worry, doubt, and frustration about what we see in society.
