Jesus Said “Let Your Yes Be Yes and Your No Be No”

In the past week, I’ve experienced three separate individuals telling me one thing but doing another. At first I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to learn from this and to make matters worse, at least two of the individuals attend the same church I attend. In essence, I had learned that they told me one thing, but had really lied. They were being duplicitous, but today we call it being politically correct. Jesus says simply that what they did was evil.

Does it Matter Who the “He” is in Daniel 9:27 as Far as the Tribulation is Concerned? Yes.

We then get into the “he” referenced in Daniel 9:27. Many people believe this “he” refers to Jesus Himself. Some even suggest that each incidence of “he” in this section of Scripture (verses 24 – 27) all refer to Jesus. If I understand the rules of grammar, I don’t see how that can be the case due mainly to the rule of the first antecedent.

John 3: He Who Comes from Heaven is Above All Things, Part 3

John told his disciples the following. “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven. You yourselves [g]are my witnesses that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent ahead of Him.’ He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. So this joy of mine has been made full. He must increase, but I must decrease’.”

John 3: He Who Comes from Heaven is Above All Things, Part 2

Those living in darkness reject the light and are afraid that their deeds will be seen for what they are – darkness. Our federal government is a perfect example. We can go back to whatever presidency we want and most of them had scandals associated with them. In the current administration, it is very clear that in spite of one scandal after another, they are doing everything they can to keep the truth under lock and key. This is the way it is with people who hate the light because the light illuminates the truth. All darkness will be fully seen for what it is at the Great White Throne. There are people like this in churches as well. They are unsaved, yet may believe they are, but they have terribly ugly personalities. They are gossips and live to create problems. It’s all about them. We shouldn’t be surprised at that because Jesus told us about the wheat and the tares (cf. Matthew 13).

John 3: He Who Comes from Heaven is Above All Things

Jesus responds by repeating the same truth in a different way. This time, He states that a person needs to be born physically and then must also be born spiritually as well in order to inherit eternal life. Here, Jesus breaks it down a bit further, pointing out that there are two births, the first one physical, the second one spiritual. By the way, this leaves out the angels and demons since they were not born at all, but created as angels. We know that some fell, choosing to follow Satan’s rebellious ways. Unfortunately for them, there is no possibility of receiving salvation simply because they do not qualify nor ever will. While the curse that the fall placed on the earth and animal kingdom will one day be lifted, only human beings qualify to receive salvation.

Fixing Our Minds on the Things That Are Above, Not on the Earth

Because we have been raised with Christ, we are to cling to Him and continue seeking those things which are above. We are to “grow up” in Him. In order to do these things, we must – as John says in 1 John 3 – fix our minds on the fact that He is one day returning. This one fact will cause us to throw off those things that are worthless and focus on and do the things that are worthwhile (in God’s eyes).

Jesus, the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53

I think when read in its entirety, it is difficult (if not impossible) to assign the identity of the servant picture in the text to the nation of Israel. It simply doesn’t fit because of numerous problems. I view this section as applying to the Messiah and the Messiah is Jesus. These verses leading up to chapter 53 strikes a contrasting note in just several verses.

Wisdom Does Not Mean Always Making the Correct Decision

We know that knowledge is the acquiring of information or learning. Wisdom is knowing how to apply that knowledge. Knowledge helps someone to understand that electricity runs through a light socket. Wisdom tells the person not to put their finger in that light socket. Better use of wisdom causes a person to put a light bulb in that light socket so that the light it gives off is beneficial to those around.

Why Are Liberals Determined to Change America?

If it wasn’t so true, it might be comical. Unfortunately, because it is true, it is far from comical. When I ask (in the title of this article) why liberals seem to determined to change America, I’m speaking of what appears to be the general view held by a majority of liberals in America. Certainly, there are exceptions to every rule.

The Elite Continues to Profit

The elite throughout the centuries have always done whatever they could to make as much money as possible off of the “little people” who are – to them – little more than serfs within their kingdom. We see this repeatedly going back to the Rothchild family when they realized that they could make a good deal of money by loaning their own money to governments, instead of individuals, families, or even small businesses. They stood to make a good deal more money through these loans to governments and the loan was always guaranteed because of that nation’s ability to tax the people in order to repay it.
