Technocracy and the New Tower of Babel

What Satan was unable to accomplish the first time (essentially because of God’s timing and purposes), he has worked to achieve now and it appears as though God is going to allow Satan to build what he failed to build in Genesis 11. Of course, Satan has learned from his mistakes. He’s not interested gathering everyone together to build a physical structure that attempts to reach to the heavens. Today’s individual couldn’t care less about that. Unlike those who lived during the days of Noah after the Flood and believed in some sort of very powerful deity, today’s average person is lost, without God in the world. They more than likely see themselves as some sort of deity, if they have any religious beliefs and affirmations at all. This person would not benefit from a physical structure that directs their attention to the heavens, when in point of fact, Satan has been directing people to see themselves as gods.

Though They Claim to Support Israel, Netanyahu Speech Leaves Dems Angry

Israel will stand. The truth of the matter though is that Israel has never been alone. While Jews who reject Jesus as Messiah go into eternity without the salvation that Jesus provides, God stands with the nation of Israel. It is His land. The Jews – as a group and culture – are His people. Will all of them be saved? No. There is no special dispensation that allows Jews to bypass Jesus and His salvation (something that is falsely taught by numerous pastors today). All have sinned (Jew and Gentile) and have fallen short of God’s glory (cf. Romans 3:23). All need Jesus (both Jew and Gentile).

Following Deceiving Spirits in the Latter Days

I like the story of Phillip and the Ethiopian Eunuch (Acts 8:26-40). In that story, the bottom line is that the eunuch was on the side of the road reading a portion of God’s Word. The Holy Spirit brought Phillip to the eunuch for the purpose of explaining the Scriptures to the man. Phillip didn’t show him a sign. He didn’t perform wonders. He simply talked to the man about the meaning of the Scripture he was reading. God then opened the man’s eyes and he became a saved man!

Cow Born with 7 on Forehead…What CAN It Mean?!

This idea that God needed to have a cow with a “7” on its forehead born into the world so that individuals like Jim Bakker, Jonathan Cahn, and others can have a field day “interpreting” the “signs” for us is patently absurd! God’s Word speaks for itself and all that is required is study, prayer, and a relationship with the Author.

What is the Coming Tribulation All About, Part 21

What is the one thing that most people want today? In fact, what have people worked for, wished for, and done all they can to gain? It is money. Is money itself the root of all evil? No, and most people get that wrong. Money itself is merely a tool that our economy is based on and in order to buy or sell, some form of money is necessary. It is not money itself, but it is the “…love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs,” (1 Timothy 6:10). Once you have tremendous money, you can have other things like fame, cars, expensive homes, and the rest.

Time in Which We Live…is it the Tribulation?

Are we in the Tribulation? Not according to my understanding of the Bible, we’re not. If I understand rightly, things are going to get much worse for Israel and the world! Persecution of Christians will also rise. Count on it! But God, in His grace, mercy, and love for all of those who have faith in Him will not give us more than we can handle. He loves us. He cares deeply for us. He knows our weaknesses and our strengths.

What is the Coming Tribulation All About, Part 19

n both cases – the passage from Revelation and the one from Mark, Jesus notes that the people of the house (of Israel) do not know when the master will return and because of that, they should stay awake and prepared. There are many today – mostly in the Preterists and Reformed/Covenant camps who believe that Jesus already returned spiritually in AD 70 when God judged the nation of Israel by causing Roman armies to destroy Jerusalem and the Temple. The problem with this interpretation is that it is simply not Scriptural. Jesus said when He returns, every eye would see Him (Matthew 24), and in Acts 1, the disciples are told (after Jesus is taken up to the clouds physically) that this Jesus would return the very same way, meaning in the clouds and physically.

What is the Coming Tribulation All About, Part 18

This is why books like Revelation are confusing to people. Many do not see the connections from Revelation to Daniel, Ezekiel, or other books of the Bible. We fail to understand that God wrote the entire Bible using roughly 40 human authors over a period of roughly 1,600 to 2,000 years to do it. Yet, it was God who oversaw its writings. It is best to see God’s Word in those terms because it allows us to avoid a great many mistakes.

Israel to Re-Open Temple Mount Site

Things are not going to calm down in the Middle East, Israel, or Jerusalem. If anything, they will worsen, until at some point Daniel 9:27 will be fulfilled. Note the first part of that verse tells us that a covenant will be brokered between Israel and surrounding Arab nations and the “he” in that verse (Antichrist). Antichrist will have great interest in gaining peace for that area of the world for one “week” or seven years, so that Israel can undertake the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple. Antichrist needs that temple to be rebuilt so that at the midway point of three and a half years, he can defile it. Once he declares himself God, it is then that persecution breaks out onto the world such as has never been seen before nor will again (cf. Matthew 24).

What is the Coming Tribulation All About? Part 17

This is massive. The contents of the second bowl of God’s wrath is poured out into the sea and the sea became blood. Because of that, everything in the sea that was alive died. There are no living creatures left because of this bowl of God’s wrath! Imagine the stench. Imagine that any desalinization systems that turned sea water into potable water would no longer work! Imagine what that would do to the world and its population.
