The Gospel Should Be Preached In and Out of Season Until People “Get It”
There is only one thing in life that is worth hearing over and over again until people “get it.” That is the gospel. There is no other source of salvation except Jesus Christ and He makes that very clear in John 14. He and He alone is the way, the truth, and the life and no one (NO ONE) comes to the Father except through Him. How does one do that? By believing that He is who He says He is and that He has existed before all time and that because of His life without sin, His sacrificial death, and His resurrection, salvation is available to all.
Christmas is Not a Holiday! It’s a Major Event that Brought Salvation into the World!
Jesus was born into this world as a fully human child and given as a son by the Father. “For unto us a child is born; unto us a son is given,” (Isaiah 9:6). With this one sentence, we see in Jesus His full humanity as well as His full deity. Jesus, the Eternal Son (His position within the triune Godhead), was given by the Father to humanity in order to become a ransom for many (cf. Matthew 20:28). Jesus is not only the reason for the season as many are fond of saying. He is the precious gift of the Father to a world filled with sinful, fallen, rebellious humanity.

Of course, many will see Cuddy’s warnings as the ravings of a conspiracy theorist or someone who is part of the lunatic fringe. This actually speaks to their own understanding. Too much has slipped by most of us hardly noticed at all. We cling to the idea that the world will simply continue on as it has since the beginning. We laugh at the notion that America could fall, in spite of what history proves.
Christmas: God Clothed Himself with Humanity and Lived Among Us to Save Us from Sin and Death
As we learn in Philippians 2, God took on the form of humanity, lived among us, and through Jesus, we see the Father. In other words, Jesus is the exact representation of God in human form (Hebrews 1:3). In another place we read that in Jesus, the fullness of the Godhead dwells in bodily form (Colossians 2:9). This is something atheists simply deny. They are entitled to their belief system, but in essence, when they try to eradicate Jesus from the public sphere, they are guilty of imposing their “religion” on the rest of us. Of course, they don’t see it that way at all.

They are what they appear to be and that is a determined effort to squelch our freedoms and control all aspects of society.

Chances are good that professing Christians will not receive a gentle rebuke humbly. They will reject it. Isn’t this what the Pharisees did routinely when Jesus pointed out the truth to them? The truth was always objectionable for them to hear.
