Walid Shoebat Espouses Some Powerful Callousness
I want to state that I fully reject and condemn Shoebat’s words, the callousness of his attitude, and his seeming absolute lack of Christlike love toward all people. But again, this is often where Dominionism leads, in my opinion. It breeds contempt for others. It sees people who oppose Christianity as the enemy. In one sense, those who remain lost are enemies of God, just as those of us who are now Christians were all enemies of God prior to embracing salvation (Colossians 1:21), but these people are not our enemies and there is a huge difference. Paul speaks clearly about this when he tells us quite plainly that our battle is not against flesh and blood (human beings), but against those in the spiritual realm (Ephesians 6:12).
Can We Biblically Love People Enough?
Here are various Bible passages that define God’s definition of love. Please go there and take the time to read them, analyze them, contemplate them, and ask the Lord to help you live them. I will state very clearly that I know that I do not love enough (and certainly not perfectly!), and you probably don’t either. This doesn’t mean we ignore sin, but we’d better be spending more time noticing our own sin before we point fingers at others.
Blame Game for Orlando Carnage
What about the worst case scenario? What if guns are to be eventually made illegal to own and collected throughout society? A precarious situation to be sure and one that will cause a great deal of problems in society, but in the end, if a law is passed that makes it illegal to own a gun, then Christians must obey the law. Do I agree with that law, if it should come to pass? No, I don’t. But we’ve been going over Romans 13 where it certainly seems clear enough that Paul commands us to submit ourselves to those who have authority over us. The only reason not to do that is when leaders forbids us from preaching the gospel (Acts 4). Peter could not obey this directive and didn’t. But this was the only situation where Peter believed he could disregard the “laws” of man.
It’s Really About Creating a Marriageless Genderless Society
If the left simply came out and said “we need to eliminate marriage!” or “we need to eliminate gender differences!” the rest of the world would laugh them to derision. Their argument would be lost before it even got off the ground. However, if instead, the left seems to be pushing for “equality,” well then, that’s a completely different story, isn’t it? Who doesn’t want equality? Everyone says they do. So, the left is using that argument for now to push their agenda while hiding the real end that they seek – a marriageless, genderless society, which simply has people in it. Those people can live with whomever they want to live with and they can see themselves as whatever they want to be seen as. For those who are unwilling to go along with the plan, you can expect reproach, censure, and possibly even violence against you as time goes on.
How Should Christians Live in the World?
For now, what I’m saying is that in the world – which is again, Satan’s kingdom – I’m not sure we have a biblical leg to stand on when it comes to trying to change people without considering that they must be changed from within (through receiving salvation) before any real changes can occur. But when it comes to the life of the church, leaders should do everything possible to take care of problems and issues in the most loving way possible. This means never by accepting the sin of the person and simply allowing them to participate in activities that are for only those who have salvation and through commitment and surrender, endeavor to live (through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit) to please God.
