Islam Makes Itself Continually Harder to Respect and Appreciate

I’d like to bring three things to your attention with this article. All of them are connected to Islam, unfortunately. With the amount of times I write about Islam here and elsewhere, I’m sure there are some who believe I’m simply picking on Islam. I need to stop “antagonizing” Muslims because most of them are not doing anything to warrant such critique. I disagree.

Islamic Terrorists Burn Churches and Attack Schools
With the defeat and overthrow of President Morsi, Egypt is once again in turmoil. The military seems – at this point – to be on top of things now, with Morsi and other leaders from within the Muslim Brotherhood, being held on house arrest. However, none of this means that other Muslims who supported Morsi are taking his ouster lying down.

In Nigeria, “Islamic militants attacked a boarding school in northeast Nigeria before dawn Saturday, killing 29 students and one teacher. Some of the pupils were burned alive in the latest school attack blamed on a radical terror group, survivors said.” Numerous victims were very young, ten to twelve years of age.

There is no excuse for this at all. It is born of hatred, hatred for those who do not see eye-to-eye with the way the extremists understand Islam.

We have also seen an uptick in terrorism against Christians in the area of Egypt and near there. Coptic Christians especially are being hard hit, blamed for Morsi’s overthrow. Their homes are being burnt to the ground. They themselves are being harassed and even killed. Terrorists have even gone so far as to attack priests. “Gunmen shot dead a Coptic Christian priest in Egypt’s lawless Northern Sinai on Saturday in what could be the first sectarian attack since the military overthrow of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi, security sources said.”

What is interesting here is that just prior to Morsi being ousted and during the tension that existed before hand, Obama essentially blamed the protests against Morsi on the Christians there in Egypt. He told them that they needed to stop protesting Morsi and his government. It’s always interesting how Obama inserts himself into a situation, blaming the wrong person, or casting doubt onto an otherwise clear situation.

tsa-ramadanTSA Gives Warning About Ramadan
Also regarding Islam, we are coming up to the time of Ramadan, from July 9th to August 8th and the TSA wants us non-Muslims to be aware of a few things. You can read for yourself the image that contains the information from the TSA. Note how it says that during Ramadan, we may see and hear Muslims reading aloud from the Qur’an. They may also be praying and might even be washing parts of the bodies in the restrooms of airports, etc. None of this should alarm us.

Well, what alarms me is that as a Christian, if I were to stand someplace in the airport and audibly read from the Bible, or pray in the Name of my Savior Jesus, I would very likely be told that I cannot do that. I have seen numerous videos of people simply standing on the street corner in some city reading aloud out of the Bible and were arrested for it.

But I guess this does not apply to Muslims. They are allowed to pretty much do whatever they want to do and the federal government says it’s fine. The notice from the TSA was issued July 2nd. It’s almost as if the government is saying that this is what we may well see while traveling and we’d better not interfere.

Does Islam Hate Non-Muslims?
The last thing I’d like to discuss today is whether or not Islam teaches hatred against non-Muslims or if that’s something that people like me have made up to serve our own ends.  It’s important to realize that for the Muslim, there are two people in this world; Muslims and non-Muslims. Non-Muslims are also referred to as infidels. In some ways, this is no different from a Christian referring to a non-Christian as a “sinner,” but of course, even after a person becomes a Christian and receives Jesus as personal Savior, the Christian still sins from time to time. The object and goal of course, is to sin less and less, but sinless perfection is not something that anyone can actually attain in this life.

We would likely agree that referencing someone as “sinner” is not a compliment. Neither is calling them an “infidel.” In both cases, it’s a bad thing.

However, unlike Christians who are called to love the world and those “sinners” in it, what does Islam teach? Does Islam teach Muslims to love the world? No, it doesn’t. Islam teaches Muslims to hate the infidels of this world.

The following words represent a major tenet of Islam and how Muslims are supposed to live in this world. They are from Muhammad Qahtani, Sheikh Abdar Razaq Afifi, deputy president of the Department of Guidance and a member of the Board of Great Ulema of Saudi Arabia. He has stated, “The subject matter is of paramount importance and utmost interest: Firstly, it is concerned with one of Islam’s main foundations, which has two major prerequisites of true faith: al-Walais a manifestation of sincere love for Allah, his prophet and the believers; al-Bara is an expression of enmity and hatred toward falsehood and its adherents. Both are evidence of true faith. Secondly, it has been written at a very crucial time where Muslims are no longer aware of those qualities which distinguish the believers from the nonbelievers; their faith has become so weak; and they have taken the disbelievers as their friends while displaying enmity toward the believers.”

I realize – and so should you – that not all within Islam would agree with Qahtani’s words and beliefs. However, there is a fairly large segment of Muslims who do agree with it and attempt to live by it. Notice that the Muslim is supposed to love Allah, Muhammad, and all believers (Muslims). At the same time, these same Muslims are to express enmity and hatred toward everything they consider to be false. That includes Christianity and even atheists and agnostics. Note also that implied in Qahtani’s last statement, Muslims are not supposed to be friends with people who are not part of Islam, yet he is concerned because this has become more of a regular occurrence with too many Muslims.

Why am I discussing this? Simply because Islam is too often presented as if it teaches a universal brotherhood of humanity, when it does not. “Islam is not about universal brotherhood, as is often claimed, but about the brotherhood of believers, members of the umma.”

Islam, via the Qur’an (and the Hadith) teach that Muslims are to remove themselves and completely denounce everyone and everything that is not part of Islam. That means non-Muslims. Those Muslims who do not do this are simply unaware of what Islam actually teaches. It’s kind of like being Jewish in name only, or socially. These types of Jews know little about the Torah or the Tanakh. They have a very liberal and non-literal understanding of Judaism and have adopted a version that has made it palatable for them to practice a form of Judaism.

It would appear that Islam – for now – continues to receive a pass from our federal government. Whether taxes are spent at the San Francisco Airport to turn part of a parking garage into an Islamic prayer area, or the TSA is trying to educate us on what we might see at local airports and other public places during Ramadan, Islam is pretty much left unchecked. This is unlike Christianity, which is, more often than not, increasingly shoved off into the corner.

As time goes by, we will likely see more examples of how Islam is being allowed to usurp Christianity in America, a country that was founded upon Christian principles, not Islamic ones.

It’s good that someone is taking a stand and exposing Islam for what it really is. Unfortunately I think it will take more disastrous turns of events before Americans wake up to this stealthy enemy among us. Used to be that as a right of passage young people traveled to foreign countries to see how diverse cultures lived and opened their minds to what it is they left behind. Today one need only watch on TV the events of the Middle East to see what intolerance is all about and the senselessness of intolerance as a way of life. Random acts of kindness generate happiness. Random acts of evil generate something different. It is all there before our eyes if we would just see it for what it is that Islam brings to wherever they are. History repeats itself. So does a cancer. In any case continuing to expose Islam for what it really is, becomes a service to all human beings that embrace light and truth. Embracing or aiding Islam will turn off the lights and set the clock back 800 years. God gave you the gift of choice. Use it wisely.

Shared. Yes, exactly. Where is the equality? The only recourse we have is to make people aware of who God is (witnessing), but whenever I speak out they answer: ” Our country is based on “religious freedom”. My only other recourse is to boycott stores and make businesses aware to not offer halal foods. But they all are so “taken” with the NEW cultural changes, since most Americans never learned about Islam nor been to Islamic countries. We are in trouble!
