Netanyahu Urges Christian Zionists to Continue Support

Realizing all the acrimony in the world against Israel, it seems clear that V.P. Biden is a professional at speaking out of both sides of his mouth.  Earlier, in a meeting with Perez, he confirmed that the United States stands with Israel.  When asked by Perez to take a tougher stand against Iran’s potential encroachment, Biden also assured him that the United States has and will continue take a very tough stand.

Apparently, Biden believes that the average individual is a moron.  Even if we leave Israel completely out of the picture, it becomes clear that the United States has NOT done enough to eliminate the threat that Iran brings to the world with their developing nuclear program.

I guess President Obama believes that because he outwardly and obviously supports Muslims over Jews, that President Ahmadinejad will leave the United States alone, if they ever get to a point of pushing the button to launch nukes in our direction.  The absurdity (or is it naivette?) of this belief smacks in the face of everything that Ahmadinejad stands for, based on his posturing, and verbal assaults on the sovereignty of the United States.

It seems clear (and has seemed clear for some time), that Iran has no incentive to back down, and every incentive to keep going.  What they want to see – along with multitudes of Muslims worldwide (though certainly not all) – is a world that is guided by Islam, and in which Shariah is the law.

The people that believe this is merely wishful thinking or a pipe dream on the part of Ahmadinejad and others have not been paying attention.  Regarding Israel, in spite of the fact that most of the world is opposed to Israel being a state anywhere, much less in the Middle East, Christian Zionists are having an impact for them.

Let’s be clear here – Israel has every right to be a sovereign nation.  The fact that Jews of Israel (as well as the MAJORITY of the world), are in complete rebellion against God is obviously important.  At the same time, the world places no constraints on any other nation regarding their alleged relationship with their god, or whether or not they are in rebellion to it.

Somehow this only applies to Israel, and it is completely unsupportable by any document in the world that relates to the sovereignty of nations.

The fact that the Jews of Israel are in rebellion to God is THEIR problem and it is a problem that God Himself will correct, which is why I believe, based on numerous passages from Ezekiel, that God is drawing Jews back to the Land.  He is doing it with an “outstretched arm and with wrath poured out,” (cf. Ezekiel 20:34).

In spite of the way things look, God has everything under control.  The people who are constantly accusing and attacking Zionists obviously have VERY little faith in the sovereignty of God.  It is THEY who need to get their act together and find out who God truly is, because their opinion of Him is exceedingly small.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday addressed a Christians United for Israel (CUFI) summit in Jerusalem and encouraged Christian Zionists around the world to stay the course in their defense of the Jewish state.

Netanyahu reiterated the amazing turn of events that the presence of Israel-loving Christians in the Jewish state represents after centuries of Christian persecution of Jewish minorities.

“Your presence here today represents a profound transformation in the relationship between Christians and Jews,” said the prime minister. “This transformation has its roots in the 19th century when the early Christian Zionists came to the Land Israel and when they began exploring the land of the Bible, when they began to yearn for the Jewish restoration in this land, the restoration of our numbers, the restoration of our sovereignty.”

Netanyahu noted the Christian Zionism actually preceded modern Jewish Zionism, and acted as a stepping stone for the reestablishment of Israeli sovereignty. In the same spirit as those 19th century Christian Zionists, Netanyahu said leaders like CUFI Director John Hagee are continuing to hold Israel aloft in both prayer and advocacy.

“Time after time, through thick and thin, you have stood shoulder to shoulder with our state, and I have come here tonight to thank you for your unwavering friendship,” said Netanyahu. “I salute you, the people of Israel salute you, the Jewish people salute you.”

The summit was attended by 1,000 Christian delegates and led by Hagee, who took the opportunity to reaffirm his support and the support of tens of millions of American Christians for Israel.
