Death Threats and Opposition to Muslim Mosque

What has been happening all over the world, is now starting to happen in America.  In Murphreesboro, TN, a resident who is speaking out against a proposed mosque, has received two death threats via phone after appearing on a popular comedy show on cable.

Laurie Cardoza-Moore, founder and president of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations, is a staunch pro-Israel supporter and because of it has a natural opposition to the mega-mosque expansion that Muslims want to build onto the existing mosque.  Because of her opposition, extremist Muslims do what they know to do; threaten someone with violence or death.

Cardoza-Moore points to “the two teenage girls in Dallas who were allegedly murdered by their father in what family members described as ‘honor killings’.” [1] This, she says, “should cause concern for all Americans and the nation’s future.”

This is tragic, yet we have religious leaders who seem either unable to see these things, or are unwilling.  Instead of crying out against Muslims who make death threats, and Muslim fathers who commit “honor killings,” the religious leaders as quoted in yesterday’s blog are too busy pandering to Islam.

Regarding the threatening phone calls she received, “[The caller said] ‘Allahu akbar’ [Arabic for ‘god is great’] — and he said, ‘We are coming after you. You cannot stop us,” she explains.” Now to many, they may be asking “where is the death threat in that?”  Think back.  Whenever the jihadists would kill and/or behead someone, they would repeat this phrase over and over again.  It is a chant of victory over the infidel.  There is NO reason to call anyone and repeat this phrase, unless they mean it as a threat to commit physical violence.

If we asked our friendly religious leaders, they would, of course deny that a threat took place.  Who cares that they think?  When they speak, they show their contemptable cowardice and naivete.  Cardoza-Moore also points out that “some of those advocating for the Murfreesboro mosque have ties to terrorist groups. “One of the board members of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro is tied to Hamas,” she states. “He had a MySpace page where he was recruiting Muslims to spot and to kill Jews to ‘free Palestine.'”  Gee, probably just a mistake, don’t you think?  I mean, come on, neither the White House or the Justice Department says that terrorists of the Muslim persuasion exist.  They are too busy uncovering those pesky conservatives as terrorists.

In yet another example of just how biased the media is, it appears that they are dutifully ignoring those Muslims who have been speaking their minds in OPPOSITION to the Ground Zero mosque.  “The mainstream media appears to have gone out of its way to support the premise that Islam is a peaceful religion and that most Muslims are “moderate.” But the Culture and Media Institute (CMI) at the Media Research Center has found that when it comes to the question of the Ground Zero mosque, the networks have ignored those moderate Muslims who have spoken out against locating the mosque so close to the 9/11 site.” [2]

“You’ve seen the media depicting opponents of the mosque as bigots, as racists, as xenophobes — and yet they’re ignoring a pretty substantial list of Muslim figures who have come out and said essentially the same thing that most Americans are saying,” notes Nathan Burchfiel, associate editor at the CMI. “But the media [is] ignoring those kinds of people because it doesn’t fit the media agenda of saying that this is something that everybody wants’..” [3]

“He reports that one of those prominent Muslims is the current Miss USA, Rima Fakih, who said locating the mosque so close to where the World Trade Center towers stood would be insensitive to the victims of the September 2001 terror attacks. “We should be more concerned with the tragedy than religion,” she said

So the reality seems to be that what is happening in America RIGHT NOW – death threats against people opposed to the expansion of a Muslim mosque, and “honor” killings to preserve the family name – should NOT be happening.  When will the people in the United States wake up, when it’s too late?

Most will start to wake up when these things begin happening to THEM.  Until then, they will continue to keep their heads firmly planted in the sand.  If they cannot see it or hear it, then it’s not happening.  That’s great, but you may as well glue a target to your rear end while it’s sticking out in plain view, because whether you think so or not, your hand in the sand will make NO difference to the Muslim extremist who happens to find you…
