President Obama’s Gun Control Plan

I came across this information, which goes back to late 2008. It is interesting because whether or not it is hoax or true, it certainly APPEARS as though it could easily be true, based on President Obama’s penchant for control.

Whether or not we agree or disagree with some of these, the overall problem here is a loss of rights if any of these are successful.

What all gun control laws do is simply frustrate law-abiding citizens. They have virtually no affect on criminals – none whatsoever. Unfortunately, people FEEL safer when a new law that limits guns or ammo goes into affect. The problem of course is the large gap between feeling safer and actually being safer.

The recent situation in Chicago is a case in point. While ALL firearms were banned there, it left homeowners with little to no ability to defend themselves against home invasions. Did this somehow create a problem for criminals? No, they were overjoyed knowing that when they broke into a home, they would experience little to no deadly resistance.

As you look through the list below, please understand that whether this list is actually what President Obama wants to happen or not, it is essentially a wish list for every liberal out there. All of the gun control laws are presented with the idea that they save lives. The truth of the matter is that rather than wanting to keep people SAFE, liberals actually want to remove any mechanism that allows for the public to defend him or herself.

If the government can effectively take away our right to bear arms, making it illegal to even possess any type of firearm, they have successfully created a society that they can fully control. Even in a supposed free society, it is not good to have too much freedom, because when that exists, there is always the chance that the public (or a good portion of it) will rebel against, or resist the efforts of the government.

So why would President Obama be interested in controlling society? Simply put, because it appears that President Obama is pushing very hard for a world society, not a United States. He is certainly not the first president who envisioned that, as President Bush (the elder) signed a world citizenship document. However, President Obama has been pushing what is arguably the most obvious Socialist agenda, in a nation that is a democratic REPUBLIC.

There are too many people who seem to be willing to sit back and say “The government knows what’s best for me, so I’m not going to complain.” If these people want to be that stupid, that’s up to them. Unless you have people running our government who think exactly as you do, it’s probably an unwise move to put so much faith in any government.

In California, beginning in February 2011, it will be against the law to purchase ammo except in face-to-face transactions and each purchaser must leave their thumbprint. Cool, huh? I can already see criminals shaking in their boots. Unless it’s overturned, it will go into law.

Obama’s Five Year Plan?:

National Licensing of all handgun purchases.
Licenses for Rifle and Shotgun owners.
State Licenses for ownership of firearms.
Arsenal Licenses (5 guns and 250 rounds of ammunition).
Arsenal License Fees (at least $300.00, with a cap of 1,000.00).
Limits on Arsenal Licensing (None in counties with populations of more than 200,000).
Requirement of Federally Approved Storage Safes for all guns.
Inspection License. (Gun safe licenses, yearly fee for spot inspections).
Ban on Manufacturing in counties with a population of more than 200,000.
Banning all military style firearms.
Banning Machine Gun Parts or parts which can be used in a Machine gun.
Banning the carrying a firearm anywhere but home or target range or in transit from one to the other.
Banning replacement parts (manufacturing, sale, possession, transfer, installation) except barrel, trigger group.
Elimination of the Curio Relic list.
Control of Ammunition belonging to Certain Surplus Firearms.(7.62x54R and .303).
Eventual Ban of Handgun Possession.
Banning of Any ammo that fits military guns (post 1945).
Banning of any quantity of smokeless powder or black powder which would constitute more than the equivalent of 100 rounds of ammunition.
Ban the possession of explosive powders of more than 1 kg. at any one time.
Banning of High Powered Ammo or Wounding (?) ammo.
A National License for Ammunition.
Banning or strict licensing of all reloading components.
National Registration of ammunition or ammo buyers.
Requirements of special storage safe for ammunition and licensing.
Restricting Gun Ranges to counties with populations less than > 200,000.
Special Licensing of ranges.
Special Range Tax to visitors ($85.00 per visit per person).
Waiting period for rentals on pistol ranges.
Banning Gun Shows.
Banning of military reenactments.

PLUS:

Ban of all clips holding over 6 bullets [sic].
Elimination of the Dept. of Civilian Marksmanship [CMP].
Ban on all realistic replica and toy guns (including air soft and paintball).
The right of gun-violence victims to sue, with financial assistance from government programs, the gun manufacturers.
Taxes on ammo, dealers, guns, licenses to offset medical costs to society.
The eventual ban on all semi-automatics regardless of when made or caliber.
