Tragedy is Going to Hit North Korea in June

Was watching FOX News tonight and learned from Greta Van Sustern that because of a really harsh winter, much of North Korea will suffer a severe famine. It is estimated that between 1 million and 6 million will people will begin to starve to death in June…2011. That is a HUGE number of people! North Korea will effectively run out of food.
I’m sure that Kim Il Sung and his family and those loyal to them will not suffer. We are talking about the people in the DPRK area of North Korea who survive from farming. Samaritan’s Purse (headed up by Franklin Graham) is there and is doing all they can to help. The problem is that what they are doing now will be of little help until the next harvest – in the fall.
Our prayers need to go out to these people. Because they are so sequestered from the rest of the world, they are denied many of the basics that most of us take for granted. Apart from Kim Il Sung’s family, friends, and loyalists, no one in North Korea is guaranteed anything.
Please pray for the people of North Korea.
