Mr. Obama Thumbs His Nose at the Law…Once Again

When I read the Ulster man interview with DC Insider, I understood what he was saying.  Insider was stating that the race card is going to be played and it is going to be played a lot between now and November 2012.  It was just shortly after this that media dogs snarled after Rick Perry, trying to show him as a racist, literally fabricating a story where there was none.

I guess I was prepared for that to happen because it’s obvious.  What I was not prepared for was to read the our precious Department of Homeland Security produced a video in which they portrayed terrorists as the average, clean-cut, white person.  Forgive me, but I just don’t see stories about the “average white” person committing terrorist acts.  Oh wait, there’s Timothy McVeigh and more recently, the loon from Norway.  Most recently, a military individual from Texas was also arrested on charges of plotting terrorist attacks.  He – as it turns out – is Muslim.  That’s three people (one of which is a member of Islam), out of how many thousands of terrorist attacks throughout the world, perpetrated largely by young men of Arab descent who just happened to be Islamic?

How is this racist?  It seems clear that this administration is trying to turn the tables on “white America” by portraying the average white person as someone who should be watched because of the tendency to be involved in terrorism.  This is – in my opinion – literally a throw back to when this same DHS produced material that included home-grown terrorist “extremists” like right-wing, Christians.  While that was quickly rescinded and changed, I believe this latest video by DHS is simply another way of saying the same thing they said before.  Of course, they will deny any such association.

Now, I read this morning that the Obama Administration (using the same DHS) has decided that they will no longer deport illegals unless they have committed crimes in the United States.  Most likely, those crimes would need to be felonies and even then, probably anything short of murder wouldn’t be something that the Feds would be worried about.  But notice though the wording there.  DHS will only consider deportation for people who commit crimes here.  They could conceivably be a high-ranking member of a drug cartel in Mexico, living by the code of violence on a daily basis, but as long as they keep their hands clean here, they’re good to go.

I also saw a photo on the Internet of a young Hispanic man smiling and he is apparently some type of hero, but I didn’t read the article.  The caption under the photo said, “I’m an illegal.”

What Mr. Obama and his administration has done and continues to do is simply ignore the rule of law in this country.  Allowing known illegals to remain here is not only a slap in the face to everyone who came to this country legally, but also to all taxpayers.

Apparently, according to the DHS, not only are they no longer going to be deporting illegals, but they will be passing out work permits to them.  I guess this comes under the title “Executive Order.”  You can probably see where this is going.

All of this seems to me to be a real slam against “white America” just as Ulster man’s article alleges.  It is Mr. Obama’s way of flipping white America off because we want closed borders, we want to crack down on illegal immigration, we want a president who cares about our country and we want the rule of law as based on the U.S. Constitution to be the law of the land.  Mr. Obama appears to want none of these things.

Of course, let’s not forget that the more illegals there are who remain in this country when next November (2012) rolls around, the more that will possibly be able to vote for Mr. Obama.  What illegal alien would not vote for Mr. Obama after he was the one who made it possible for them to stay here?

What amazes me more than what Mr. Obama is attempting to do is the fact that Congress seems to be largely silent on the issue.  Maybe they’re working behind the scenes to accomplish something, but someone needs to force the DHS to follow the law, not ignore it because the president (or anyone else for that matter) tells them to ignore it.

The people who say that Mr. Obama is doing a great job obviously think as he thinks.  Apparently, they are busy holding up their middle finger as well.  Either that, or as I mentioned previously, they’re getting their welfare check so that’s awesome.  They should in fact, be thanking me and every other taxpayer, not Mr. Obama.  Without my taxes, they would be getting nothing.

It is sad to think that this country is falling apart at the seams.  It is sad when you realize just how bad things are going to get, let alone what they have now become.  It is important for us to not lose our heads, or react from an emotional perspective (as tempting as that is), because it will accomplish nothing good.  Level heads need to permeate the roiling atmosphere.

Did you read this morning that after his long bus tour, Mr. Obama and wife Michelle made a beeline for Martha’s Vineyard?  Trouble is they both took separate jets at an additional cost to the taxpayers.

Should the CEO of a Fortune 500 company take a vacation when the company is sinking?  I don’t think so and I don’t think Mr. Obama has done enough work as president to warrant another vacation.  How many has this been?  Didn’t Michelle just come back from another “secret” vacation?

So far, we’ve seen that the use of the race card by the cronies for this administration comes in a number of forms.  We’ve seen it in accusations, we’ve seen it implicit in the actions of the DHS, and I’m certain we will continue to see it where we least expect it.

I recall reading an interview in which Mr. Obama admitted that he harbored a great deal of hatred against white people.  (How can that not happen when you spend twenty years in a church where hatred against whites and America is routinely preached?)  He also said that he was able to put that hatred aside.  Well, if he put it aside, he didn’t set it aside far enough, because it seems to be in easy reach.  I have my doubts that he truly put it aside at all.  He has never struck me as someone who embraces all people, regardless of color, culture, or ethnicity.

So, how far Team Obama will go in playing the race card is anyone’s guess.  It’s troubling to think of where this could actually wind up.  I will say that I am glad we are relocating to a far more conservative state.  Maybe that will help, or at least offer some sort of insulation.

I recall the numerous times we’ve visited Georgia and what absolutely amazed me is how easy it is to talk to anyone, whites, blacks, and other people of color.  In fact, it was exceedingly refreshing to say the least.  People are warm and caring and for the most part, they understand that politeness and respect should still be part of the fabric of society.  It’s simply the way they live.  Not every one of course, but those folks are few and far between.

Last night we went to a local buffet.  My wife was standing in line waiting for her turn at the chocolate fountain and I was behind her.  She waited patiently  while the woman (black) took her turn.  My wife mentioned to her that this was the best part of the dinner!  There was absolutely no response from the woman.  She didn’t even look over at my wife, or smile.  My wife turned to me and I simply said, “Hon, we’re in California, not Georgia.”

For whatever reason, the average individual in California is simply aloof.  I find it fascinating that you have to go to a conservative state to find people who are warm and easy to talk to.  In an ultra-liberal state like California, everyone is too busy and the pace is too frenetic.

You know, the true reality of the situation is this:  however bad it gets on this earth or in this country, the wonderful reality is that my citizenship is actually not here; not on this planet, and not in this country.  My ultimate citizenship is with the Lord.  That, in and of itself, helps allay the fears and frustrations.  Nothing here is permanent, no matter bad or how good it gets.  It will one day come to its appointed end.

I was reading a few Psalms this morning.  Psalm 18:32-33 says “It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.  He makes my feet like the feet of deer and sets me on high places.”

God gives me the strength to make it through each day, in spite of what the enemy of my soul throws at me.  God straightens out my path, making it perfectly easy to walk.  I just have to look for it.  He gives me a very sure footing so that I will not stumble and I like the last part.  He gives me the advantage over my enemies.  A deer (or any animal) who sits on a high place can see all around him.  He will see when an enemy approaches and have plenty of time to prepare.  Jerusalem is on a hill and was easy to defend (unless of course, God deliberately allowed Israel’s enemies to win as chastisement).

Psalm 18:2 tell us this:  “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer.  My God; my strength, in whom I trust.  My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

God is my rock.  There is no greater foundation that one could build on, than rock.  The ground won’t sink, it can’t become over saturated with water from flooding.  It is safe.

God is also my fortress.  No one gets passed Him to me, without His permission.  He is my protector, caring for me from all sides.  He literally envelopes me with His strength.

He is also my deliverer.  Anything He does allow to get through is ultimately for my growth and His glory.  He will deliver me from all trouble, as I depend upon Him and lean on Him for strength.  Because He is my strength and my rock, fortress, and deliverer, I trust Him.  Granted, in my imperfection, my humanness can falter at times, but overall, I place my faith in Him.

He is also my shield, keeping the harms of this world at bay.  As a shield, the arrows of the enemy bounce off.  I’m quite sure I do not even realize how many times the Lord has protected me from evil.

God is my salvation.  Without Him, there is no salvation for anyone.  He is my salvation and because He tells me that no one can take me out of His hand, I know that I am safe from anything that He does not want to touch me.

The next fifteen months will prove to be terrible times, I’m sure.  We will see and hear false accusations, havoc will become the norm, and Mr. Obama will continue to seemingly thumb his nose at those within America who do not agree with his policies.

In spite of all that Team Obama will dish out (and I’m including here not only those who are directly on Mr. Obama’s team, but also the liberal media that seems to work tirelessly to portray Mr. Obama in a good light, as difficult as that is becoming), God protects His own.  He is our rock, our fortress, and our deliverer?  Is there anyone else you would rather have in that position?
