Democracy, Imperialism, and Sharia Law

It would seem that for a man whose father was so angered by the specter of United States imperialism, he has seen fit to ignore that anger.  I’m speaking of course, of Mr. Obama, who has chosen to help topple governments in Egypt and Libya in the hopes of creating (or at least allowing) democracies to become firmly established where there were once dictatorships.

Such seems not to be the case though as Sharia Law under the leadership of Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has begun to take hold in earnest and is now threatening to do the same thing in Libya, long-held by defeated and murdered dictator, Qadhafi.

It becomes an obvious question.  How can there be liberation and Sharia Law in the same place?  Certainly, one precludes the other.  In Libya, celebrations are jubilant over the ouster and death of a tyrannical leader who held sway over that country for decades.

Libya’s new leader – Abdul Jalil – has stated “that Islamic Sharia law would be the “basic source” of legislation in the country and that existing laws that contradict the teachings of Islam would be nullified.” [1]

Unfortunately, that statement is completely open-ended simply because no one faction agrees with another on what constitutes actual Islamic law (Sharia).  It may sound good to the general populace and to the world, but until it is seen exactly how Islamic law will be implemented, no one really knows.

What we do know is that Islamic law (Sharia) will likely become the driving force within Libya as it has in Egypt since the ouster and death of Mubarak.  Since he died, the military – seemingly led by Muslim Brotherhood – has worked hard to take over the entire country, deliberately placing Islamic law in place.

What this means is that for folks like Coptic Christians who are by no means Muslim, their churches are being destroyed and in at least some cases, they are being persecuted and killed because they are not Muslim.  Can we expect more of the same in Libya?  Without question.

But getting back to the point about Imperialism, it would seem that though Mr. Obama’s father (and by osmosis, Mr. Obama himself) hated America for its Imperialistic stance in the world, Mr. Obama has little problem going into countries like Egypt and Libya in attempts to “free” those countries from dictators.  This was done under the guise of freeing them for democracy, yet in the aftermath, it would appear that nothing is being done to protect the people in those newly-freed countries who are not Islamic.

It is as if America has had a hand in toppling one regime in order to allow Muslims to bring in Sharia law by the truckload.  It happened in Egypt and it will happen in Libya.

Mr. Obama has previously stated that he is a Christian, though he has also stated (on video) that he was born into a Muslim household and was raised Muslim.  If true, then his reasons for toppling Mubarak and Qadhafi become a bit more clear.

As a Muslim, Mr. Obama shows little to no respect or patience for Israel.  In fact, even if we remove the Muslim from the equation, Mr. Obama’s impatience for Israel remains obvious.  My contention though is that because he is likely Muslim, that impatience (hatred) is really stoked by his own personal beliefs.

Could it be that Mr. Obama is using his powers as president of the United States to increase the power of Islam throughout the world?  Could it be that the man who sits in the Oval Office is more concerned about Islam than anything that is happening within the confines of the United States?  It could very well be.

If we simply gaze over the past few years since Mr. Obama gained the highest office of the land, it is easy to see that his attention has really been elsewhere.  He has spent taxpayer dollars hand over fist, creating a nearly 16 trillion-dollar deficit in a very short period of time.  He has had more vacations than any person has a right to have in the space of two to three years and not only has he taken family vacations, but his wife has wasted no time also spending her fair share of taxpayer dollars to jet off to Spain or other parts of Europe.  I thought it was a bit humorous to see a photo of our First Lady on a recent outing at a Target.  What was that all about, an attempt to tell us that she doesn’t always spend all of the taxpayer dollars in Europe?  I’m sure it was simply a photo-op in an attempt to show us how frugal she could be or is, but unfortunately, few people outside the Democratic party buy it.

Under Mr. Obama’s watch, Imperialism has continued with some interesting results.  In at least two countries, Islam has become far stronger, though that was not the stated objective.  I simply do not see what is being done to keep Islam from spreading.  We see the violence.  We know the objective of militant Islamic men.  That is very clear, though this administration would have us believe otherwise.  The news bureaus continue to play along with them as well.

Even with the most recent situation in which Iraq allegedly tried to work with Mexican drug lords to assassinate the Saudi Ambassador seems fraught with problems.  Iraq – normally one to brag about what they are going to do if anyone gets in their way – continues to deny they had any involvement in the situation.

Was it even a real situation?  Has anyone seen “Wag the Dog” with Dustin Hoffman and Robert DiNiro?  It’s about a presidential re-election campaign in which a Hollywood producer was brought into create fake situations that made the incumbent look good.

We all know that if we go by the economy, Mr. Obama does not look good.  He seems to have done little and accomplished just as much where the economy and jobs are concerned.  He’s given out some stimulus packages and now he has another one which he calls his “jobs bill.”  In essence, it is simply another stimulus package where the Federal Gov’t throws money to the states so that they can create more government jobs, jobs that unless they continue to be financed, will wind up being temporary.  The only way to continue to finance them is to raise taxes.  While Mr. Obama says he wants to do that to the rich, will he be able to do so?  By the way, Mr. Obama himself is worth millions.  Is he considering himself to be one of those “rich” people he believes should pay more taxes?

So the economy is going well and there are no new private sector jobs to speak of, yet Mr. Obama continues to blame the GOP for not passing his “jobs bill (stimulus).”  His foreign policy fairs no better and he has not shown himself to be a winner in any of the “war” campaigns happening throughout the world.

So what do you do?  Obviously, you have to find a way to make yourself look like a hero.  He took his victory laps when bin Laden was killed, but then bowed to Islamic pressure by ensuring that bin Laden had a proper Islamic funeral.

Under his watch, a plan was exposed in which Iraq appears to be caught with their hand in the cookie jar in wanting the death of Middle East Ambassador and to make matters worse, it was supposed to have been done on American soil.  The plan was foiled before it could begin.  Hurray!  Mr. Obama’s administration saved the day!

But wait, in the other corner, it appears that the DOJ has been busy trying to create an artificial situation that would allow Congress to create more anti-gun legislation.  “Fast and Furious” is its name and the buck may be stopping with Mr. Holder.

But none of that matters, because both this administration and the DOJ have been sue-happy, suing any state that tries to do what the Federal Gov’t refuses to do by keeping our borders safe from illegals just jumping over the fence or in some cases, simply walking in.

Let’s not forget that Mr. Obama has filed a grievance with the UN claiming that some of the states within the United States are guilty of certain crimes against people.  This translates into the fact that states are trying to address the issue of illegal immigration that drains state budgets faster than anything.

In nearly every case, Mr. Obama seems to have been working against the people of the United States of America.  Where does that leave us?  It leaves us believing that if we do not vote in someone else who is far more concerned about the United States than Muslim countries, this country may have nothing left when all is said and done.

Of course that brings us to the claims of racism.  We are now being told that THE real reason we do not want to vote for Mr. Obama is because we are racist.

So when someone like Herman Cain – a black man from Georgia – runs for the GOP primary, we hear the claims that he is “not black enough,” which of course is not to be considered a racist statement because in some cases, black people are the ones making the charge.  Not black enough?  What does that mean?  It means that Mr. Cain ostensibly thinks like a “white” person, therefore he is not concerned about blacks.

You think Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson are actually concerned about black people?  HA!  Think again.  Both of these men (and too many others like them) are nothing more than leeches that suck the life out of the black communities and if a black person tries to buck that system, you can guess what they are called and how they will be treated.

There are a lot of things wrong with this current administration, from the top down and it needs to change.  The only way it will change is by changing the person who is at the top.  That’s the only way.  If America does nothing and allows the current man in the Oval Office another four years, there will be nothing left of America.

In some sense, I know that what will be will be.  God has it planned out.  (If you’re an atheist, you are laughing right now.  Good for you.  Who cares, by the way?)  So, what will happen will happen and my job is to vote for the best person – the person whom I believe will do the best job in the Oval Office – in the next election.

I know who I will not be voting for and I hope you do too.  I hope you have studied the issues.  I hope you have not merely taken the mainstream, lefthead news bureaus words as if they speak only truth.  I hope you’ve spent some time digging.

In the end, we can only do so much.  I can tell you from God’s Word how things are going to pan out, but I do not know all the details of how we get from here to there.  Some are simply not known.  That’s like trying to predict when Jesus will return even though He Himself said He would not say and did not know.  Should have been the end of the story, but some individuals read the Bible and take their own meaning from it.

Imperialism seems to be on the menu at the White House.  Those folks seem to spend a great deal of time trying to free the world from their problems while ignoring the ones that are affecting the people who put them into office and pay their salaries.

I just read recently that our administration has given 537 million dollars to a foreign country to produce items for the United States.  Now, why wasn’t that money spent locally so that those products could actually be produced in the United States?  There is only one answer:  the current administration is only concerned about what it can do to the people of this country, not what it can do for us.  Thought we will continue to hear the rhetoric stating the opposite, the proof is in the pudding.  Remember that when it comes time to cast your vote.
