Benghazi and the Lies the White House Has Told…

Late last night, FOX News announced breaking news related to the Benghazi embassy attacks in which four Americans died. The information involved recently unearthed memos that “were sent by the State Department to a variety of national security platforms, whose addresses have been redacted, including the White House Situation Room, the Pentagon, the FBI and the Director of National Intelligence.” [1]
Yet, we recently heard from those within the Obama administration that neither Mr. Obama or Mr. Biden knew of any problems with the Benghazi situation nor were they aware of requests by individuals at Benghazi for the addition of security forces to protect them from potential terror threats.
FOX News “estimated 300 to 400 national security figures received these emails in real time almost as the raid was playing out and concluding.” [2]
According to these internal memos, people who are very high up in our government and had the ability to do something about the situation…did nothing. They did nothing for seven hours. There were several emails sent to the White House Situation Room which highlighted what was happening in Benghazi in real-time.
Probably the most damaging of the emails was the information relayed in the third one. “The third email came at 6:07 p.m. ET and was sent to a different email list but still includes the White House Situation Room address and a subject line of “Update 2: Ansar al-Sharia Claims Responsibility for Benghazi Attack (SBU – sensitive but unclassified, ed.).” [3]
So, it would appear that given the nature of these memos/emails, it is very likely that Mr. Obama knew of the situation since the memos came to the White House Situation Room. In spite of this, nothing was done for seven hours. Beyond this, the Administration decided to tell the world that the attacks were protests resulting from a video that no one ever heard of before.
Moreover, this excuse was foisted upon the American people and during Mr. Obama’s speech to the UN for at least a week, before new information forced the Obama administration to begin backtracking. When things got really pressurized, Mr. Obama punted the ball…to Hillary Clinton, who agreed to take the fall. Now it appears with these memos that the ball was punted back to Mr. Obama. My guess is that the liberal media won’t bat an eye at all over this situation. They too desperately want Mr. Obama to be re-elected.
During the third presidential debate, Mr. Obama declared unequivocally that as soon as he learned of the situation in Benghazi, he did everything he could to secure the safety of Americans there. But according to the memos/emails, this appears not to be the case at all.
So what do we do with this information? Well, it seems clear enough that with fiascos like “Fast and Furious,” this particular administration is not friends with the truth. Moreover, this same administration does not believe that Americans are owed any type of real explanation.
We’ve seen how Eric Holder stonewalled Congress for months regarding documents pertaining to “Fast and Furious.” When he could do no more, Mr. Obama stepped into the situation, citing “executive privilege.” However, Mr. Obama has also stated that he knew nothing of “Fast and Furious” when it first originated.
This particular administration uses lies and misdirection as a matter of course. It’s simply what they do. I have no problem with a high-ranking official or the president himself stating that they cannot release information to the public for the sake of national security.
The way Mr. Obama has handled several situations though by making outright lies to the American people is not only underhanded, but in this case, Mr. Obama’s decision to wait for seven hours before doing anything with reference to the Benghazi situation resulted in the deaths of four Americans. Why was nothing done immediately? Why did people have to die? Maybe a better question is why were they left to die?
We watched and listened during the third debate as Mr. Obama routinely accused Mr. Romney of lying. Mr. Obama unequivocally denied many of Mr. Romney’s charges, yet the fact checking has been done and it clearly shows that Mr. Obama is the one who is lying.
Today, it was announced and revealed by the Obama Administration that a 20-page booklet has been made available that provides us with insight in Mr. Obama’s plan to get Americans back to work. I find it interesting that with less than two weeks to go before the next election occurs, Mr. Obama decides to get this information out there now. Of course, let’s not forget that he did so on the heels of the third debate where it would be too late for Romney to address any of these points.

As the article in the above link points out, Mitt Romney produced his own booklet on his plan for America. He did that 432 days before this next election and his booklet is 160-pages in length.
There have been too many issues and anomalies with the Obama presidency. Ken and Brenda Battle Jordan (of Move-On-Up.org) have pointed out numerous promises made by Mr. Obama. Those promises stand for all to see and only those who like Mr. Obama that much are willing to ignore those broken promises.
While Chris Matthews is again spouting his asinine comments that people’s hatred of Mr. Obama is based on nothing more than racism, there are plenty of African-Americans who are awake and want nothing more than to see Mr. Obama receive his pink slip come November 6th. The above-mentioned individuals are two such African-Americans and most of the people associated with their Facebook page are also African-Americans. They are conservative and want Mr. Obama out. How refreshing it is to read comments by African-Americans who understand the lies of the liberals and are doing what they can to educate other African-Americans.
As Herman Cain pointed out today, unemployment among blacks in America has increased a good deal since Mr. Obama took office. Cain went onto cite numerous statistics related to how black Americas are faring under the current administration. Those statistics are not pretty.
All in all, things are not good in America. Our economy is terrible. This administration’s foreign policy is an embarrassment and clearly, there is no real leader at the helm of this nation, certainly not a leader who has America’s best interests at heart. I’m hoping for a change in less than two weeks.
I’m hoping that the media will start doing its job. I’m hoping that Mr. Obama will come clean about Benghazi. I’m hoping for a lot of things. I know that it’s all in God’s hands, but until I sense otherwise, I’m praying for a leadership change come November 6th.
Yes, Mitt Romney is a Mormon. That really doesn’t bother me, yet I have Christian friends who are going to sit this election out. That’s up to them.
It wouldn’t bother me if Romney was a Seventh-day Adventist either, or that he was not involved in religion at all. That’s not why I want him to be “hired” to lead this country. Religion plays no part in it for me. Can we say for certain that all the previous presidents who said they were Christian were in fact, Christian? I know we can’t say that.
Romney appears to understand business, certainly far more than Mr. Obama does. He knows what he is up against. I think out of the two candidates, it is Romney who has the tools to get the job done, but because of the mess we are in, I’m not really sure anyone can dig us out at this point. Allowing Mr. Obama to have another four years would simply make matters much worse.
Mr. Obama has a great deal of explaining to do and I seriously doubt that he will explain it, nor do I believe the media will continue to put pressure on him until he does. After all, Mr. Obama is their darling. He’s not Bush. He’s also black and people like Chris Matthews continue to prove that when things really get tough, all they need to do is play that ol’ race card. It’s not working as well as it once did though.
I think Romney will do his best to get this country back on track. Oh and did you hear? If Romney wins, he’ll be donating his paycheck to charity. While Mr. Obama can’t seem to spend taxpayer dollars fast enough on 16 vacations in just over three years (which also added tremendously to the national debt), Romney has his own money.
We’ve seen what Mr. Obama can do. Maybe it’s time to give someone who actually has the business acumen to take the reins of our government and see what he can do.
