Progressive Revolutionaries and Black Americans

Yesterday, thanks to a reader, I was directed to Taleeb Starkes.  His book – The Un-Civil War: Blacks-vs-Niggers – was on Kindle, so I bought it.  Mr. Starkes pointed out the difference between members of the black community and a subculture within the black community that Starkes’ calls n*ggers.

Starkes begins his book by stating, “A multi-generational clash continues between two oppositional cultures within the African-American community… BLACKS and NIGGERS. This uninterrupted animosity stems from the NIGGER subculture’s self-defeating, anti-society, values conflicting with the forward-thinking, pro-society values of BLACKS. As evidenced by the unparalleled amounts of homicides, violence, and mayhem occurring in the African-American community, this battle is essentially an Un-Civil War.” [1]

Starkes has a great deal to say about the “Un-Civil War” that is playing out in many areas of America these days.  It is debilitating and demoralizing, not only to those within the black community, but to those outside the black community who are directly affected by the attitudes and actions on display.

This article is not a review of Starkes’ book, since I have not finished reading it yet.  The purpose of this article is to expose the left’s penchant for vilifying anyone who does not walk in step with their agenda.  As I was researching this, I came across another website that had a huge problem with Starkes, his book, and Colin Flaherty.

Patrice (Pat) Gibbs (Progressive Revolutionaries) wrote an article slamming Starkes, which can be found here:

I was there yesterday and now I wish I had taken a screen grab of the site because it looks very different today.  Yesterday, the background image was black with flames, like the fires of hell.  A large image of the cover of Starkes’ book was also included.

Today, the background image is a neutral white.  No flames. No book cover.  One other thing is gone as well.  The comment I left, along with the ability to actually leave a comment.

Apparently, Patrice Gibbs thought better of vilifying Starkes too much and softened her visual approach.  Her words are still there and are meant to castigate, denigrate, and of course, vilify.

Gibbs states, “Taleeb Starkes was on local talk radio plugging his book recently.  The guest co-host, Colin Flaherty, is an ignorant, uncivil, uncouth, very racist, white conservative extremist.  Mr. Starkes not only bragged about his friendship with Flaherty, but also cited the book Colin Flaherty wrote (which should be called niggers are out to get us) as a reference in his research…I have not read Starkes’ book and have no plans of doing so. I sincerely hope it makes the worst sellers list.”

Imagine that.  Gibbs admits she has not read the book and has no plans to do so.  Note also how she refers to Colin Flaherty.  Gee, I bet Colin’s never been called a racist before.

Gibbs continues.  “Is conservative ideology when embraced by Blacks an indication of insanity?  It would seem a valid assessment.  What other explanation can there be for people like Allen West, Herman Cain, Mia Love, Clarence Thomas, and Taleeb Starkes.  How else does one explain people willing to walk lock step with the very people who have openly declared their hostility for the very community from which you hail? How do explain people who embrace their oppressor and views their own community with disdain and animosity.” [3]

So, right away, Gibbs claims that Starkes is “insane.”  Then goes onto say that this seems to be a “valid assessment.”  I suppose that Gibbs has a degree in psychology?  She asks “what other explanation can there be…?

Part of my comment to her responded to this very question.  Could it be that Starkes (along with West, Cain, Love, Thomas and don’t forget, Ben Carson, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson and others) have all seen the truth about the Democratic Party?  Could it be they have realized (unlike Patrice Gibbs) that the Dems are the ones who want to keep blacks “on the plantation” (as Carson recently stated)?

But notice the “politically correct” attitude Gibbs takes when she says “How do you explain people who embrace their oppressor…?”  Remember, within politically correct circles, there are two categories of people:  victims and aggressors (or oppressors).

Gibbs wants to continue to bring the past into the present when she states sardonically that, “the structural impediments of bigotry in education, employment, and the justice system have no bearing on the dysfunctional conditions in the Black community.” [4]   It couldn’t be as Starkes says, could it?  It couldn’t be that Gibbs herself is a “sellout,” willfully embracing the racist policies of the left in order to maintain her anger at “white conservatives,” could it?

Gee, what would Gibbs do without her anger that solves absolutely nothing?  What would she do without her grossly inaccurate assessment of the liberal left?  Whether she realizes it or not, Gibbs is fighting alongside some of the worst racists going and if she really wanted to know the truth, she would only need to go back to Lyndon B. Johnson.  He said, among other things:

I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” — Lyndon B. Johnson to two governors on Air Force One – Ronald Kessler’s “Inside The White House”

These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.” — LBJ

And finally, here is a reference to a website called “Black and Right” and there is plenty of actual historical evidence that the Democratic Party is not how it portrays itself, either in the past or the present.
