Is the Occult Presence in Society Increasing or Is It Just Being More Openly Accepted?

Sexual. Demonic. Perverse. It’s coming out of the woodwork folks, on all sides. Satan’s day on the throne over humanity is coming.
One of the pages I have bookmarked is called Vigilant Citizen where, according to them “Symbols Rule the World.” As one might expect, they focus on the many things in society they deem macabre, symbolic, and especially those seemingly connected to the occult. To this end, they provide their own take on the way things are going in society by focusing on the music industry, television shows and specials, photo essays in magazines, and even off-the-wall videos that appear on You Tube. I have no idea if the folks behind the site are Christian, religious, disinformation agents, or simply people who see what’s going on and comment on it.
It’s no secret that the last few Olympic opening celebrations have had extremely weird opening ceremonies. As far as Vigilant Citizen is concerned, these celebrations were laced with occult symbolism. In fact, many of the things they write about – according to them – are filled with occult imagery and nods to Satan. You can see a sampling of articles by going to this link on their page.
One of their most recent articles deals with Beyoncé’s performance at the recent 2016 VMA Awards (Video Music Awards) and all the alleged connections between Beyoncé and the occult. Now, to be fair, Vigilant Citizen is not claiming that Beyoncé is actually or directly involved in the occult or that she worships Satan. I’m not saying that either. However, it is very noticeable that more and more celebrities and singers are heavily involved in using imagery in videos of their songs that seem to at the very least, give a nod to Satan, and at worst, worship him outright. This has really been going on for several years and it has become too obvious to ignore.
I’d like to go just a bit further here and point out that I do not think people like Beyoncé are actually intelligent enough to come up with the ideas used that point to the occult Elite. I don’t think people like Rihanna or Katy Perry are either. Hear what I’m saying. These gals may have talent. They can sing certainly, but how many of their songs do they actually write? They’re singers and actresses by trade.
Take the work “Lemonade,” sung by Beyoncé. Adele is quoted as asking at one of her own concerts, “Isn’t Beyoncé (expletive deleted) brilliant?” But is Beyoncé actually that kind of brilliant? Did she actually write the songs on her album “Lemonade”?
A quick look at the album’s liner notes reveal that the album was written by a team of 72 writers … the song Hold Up alone was written by 15 people! The video part of the “visual album” was put together by seven directors, including some of the occult elite’s favorites: Jonas Akerlund and Mark Romanek. Akerlund alone has been mentioned several times on Vigilant Citizen due to the fact that he created highly symbolic videos such as Britney Spear’s Hold it Against Me, Lady Gaga’s Telephone, an MK-ultra themed commercial for Versace, and many more.
72 writers in total. 15 writers for one song alone and 7 directors for the videos/movie. Is she brilliant or is she being brilliantly and willingly used by the occult Elite? The longer I spend studying these things, the more I’m convinced that the Elite – a powerful, satanically-inspired small group of the wealthiest people in the world, sold out to Satan (Lucifer) – are spreading their message. They’ve been at it for a while, but it seems as though things have come to the point of starting to spill over the dam so that it has become much more noticeable. The tragedy here is that most in society not only don’t care, but seem to welcome it. I believe this is the case with the increasing focus in on society that has to do with the occult and the supernatural in general.
Years ago, a rock group like “Black Sabbath” was an anomaly. They were like the sideshow in a circus. The average rock band then was melodic. Kansas, Journey, Boston, Survivor, 38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and a host of other bands all played music that people could dance to and sing along with and most music then focused on things that spoke to people. The emphasis involved love, nature, or something along those lines. Over the years though, slowly but surely, darker music has come to the fore.
Now, we have all kinds of “metal” music (yes, they still call it music). From “death metal,” to “speed metal,” to “grunge metal” and more and that’s just on the rock side of things. Beyoncé is a breed apart and specifically designed to snag a particular segment of this generation that is not into “metal.” Satan has something for everyone.
But it’s not just music either. As I’ve already mentioned, there is a growing and obvious influence and focus on things that relate directly to the occult and supernatural. We don’t just have “The Walking Dead.” We now have “Fear the Walking Dead,” this one based on the west coast in Los Angeles. There are too many other shows to list here that focus solely on the macabre and supernatural and what it has done is to desensitize people to the reality of the occult, of Satan, with Netflix’s “Stranger Things” being one of the most recent to showcase the supernatural and even the occult.
Yes, we had “The Invaders” during the 1960s’, but it was a bit different. The aliens were clearly malevolent and the goal was to keep them from taking over the earth. That was the general theme of most sci-fi, alien-inspired movies and TV shows. Since then however, the aliens have become “friendlier” and everyone wants to meet them. I just read today that apparently, scientists believe they may be receiving a signal from an alien race. If the signal is from an alien world, signs are that it’s a great deal more advanced than ours…allegedly. People are tingling with excitement over it, in spite of the fact that if there’s anything there at all, it’s likely high-ranking demons playing tricks on humanity. We’re a gullible lot and easy to con.
I submit that this increasing focus on the occult, the supernatural, is geared to break down people’s defenses against it, so that it becomes more acceptable, even “normal.” It is designed to get society used to the idea of the occult and the supernatural so that people won’t question it. One day, one specially anointed person will step up onto the world’s stage who will not identify himself as the Antichrist (though that’s who he will be), and all manner of supernatural signs and wonders will encircle him. People will be so ready for it that they will accept him with few questions asked.
The arrival of the lawless one will be by Satan’s working with all kinds of miracles and signs and false wonders, and with every kind of evil deception directed against those who are perishing, because they found no place in their hearts for the truth so as to be saved, (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10; emphasis added).
The Antichrist will be a human being but he will be so infused with Satan’s power that the two will in essence become “one” in thought, mind, and purpose, so sold out to Satan will this coming wanna be king be. Satan’s own power will work in and through the Antichrist for what purpose? Partially, to fully deceive those who are perishing as it states in the text. The other reason is so that Satan through Antichrist will become “like the Most High” (Isaiah 14:14), as I’ve stated before. That is the overriding reason for everything Satan does and God allows.
[Antichrist] opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, and as a result he takes his seat in God’s temple, displaying himself as God, (2 Thessalonians 2:4).
This is Satan’s goal. It is the reason he fell from grace and became the first “sinner” in full and total rebellion against God and His purposes. In order to get society to this point, Satan must turn society to him and the way to do that is by holding out the supernatural and the occult as something that gives individuals and society itself power over others and nature. People have become utterly self-centered today and that’s “because they found no place in their hearts for the truth so as to be saved.” Their continued rejection of the truth (God) has dire consequences that leaves people completely open and susceptible to all lies.
I read through Lamentations earlier today and then I started reading through Ezekiel, chapters 1 – 4. It’s interesting how some of the same themes run through both books because they speak of judgment. They also speak about people’s hearts. God, speaking to Ezekiel tells him…
For you are not being sent to a people of unintelligible speech and difficult language, but to the house of Israel— not to many peoples of unintelligible speech and difficult language, whose words you cannot understand—surely if I had sent you to them, they would listen to you! But the house of Israel is unwilling to listen to you, because they are not willing to listen to me, for the whole house of Israel is hard-headed and hard-hearted, (Ezekiel 3:5-7).
I fully realize that this text refers specifically to Israel. They were and remain stubborn in their blindness. They were and remain hard-hearted for the same reason. But in a general sense, it applies to everyone who rejects the Lord. Most people are extremely stubborn and hard-hearted today. They are not interested in truth unless that truth somehow originates within them, which is absurd. It has to be “their” idea for them to accept it today, but there’s still plenty of room to get on the bandwagon as well and get behind people like Beyoncé or others who have something different to offer.
What the average fan of Beyoncé does not realize is that she is a creation. Nearly all celebrities from the Golden Age of Hollywood to today are that. Katy Perry, Rihanna and others like them are all creations. When these people make the mistake of thinking they are self-made or truly important, the Elite will drop them like yesterday’s trash, easily replacing them with another person who will willingly sell themselves for fame, fortune, and unfulfilled aspirations. No matter how rich they become, they are being used until there is nothing left of them, but they willingly allow themselves to be used by the Elite so the Elite can send signals to society, to shape it, to brainwash it, and ultimately prepare society for what’s coming.
Honestly, I cannot believe that the singers/celebs I’ve mentioned truly understand the actual ramifications of what their songs and videos mean. To them, they’re probably just some dark fantasy and that seems to be the case with most of their songs. If they aren’t dark, they just appear extremely weird and somewhat fanciful (as they are with Katy Perry’s songs). They are all merely useful tools for the Elite, just like most politicians and all politicians who gain any real power.
Beyoncé’s performance at the VMA’s was very dark, even gruesome. Watch her performance then look on You Tube for the average performance from a well-known rock group from the 1960’s or 70’s. The difference is stark. We have come a long way in such a short time, if you stop and consider it.
The occult elite’s rituals are about soiling purity and innocence in order to bring about dark metaphysical change. One by one, the girls around Beyoncé get shot and die, falling in a pool of red light.
All the girls die except Beyoncé and a hooded figure approaches her. As in any form of “art,” opinions differ on who or what the hooded figure is supposed to represent. Some argue that it is Trayvon Martin (which is actually a bit too obvious to be true, but satisfies the average Beyoncé fan today), but the folks at Vigilant Citizen say otherwise.
This man who guides Beyoncé to the next stage of her performance represents those who guide Beyoncé to the next stages of her career. He represents the occult elite, those who put her in the spotlight and make sure she gets all of the spotlight. Of course, all of the spotlight comes at a price.
The Elite can make anyone a celebrity or star of anyone for their purposes. It’s way too easy today. There is software that can make anyone sound like a professional vocalist by perfecting their pitch among other things. You think most of what you hear at live rock concerts is live? Think again. Much of it is on prerecorded tracks. Too many sound engineers have told me that. Known singers with blown out vocal chords have sung their guts out on stage in front of live audiences and they sound absolutely terrible, but the on-site sound engineers take that live feed and replace it with recorded tracks which match up with the singer’s singing and the crowd only hears the prerecorded mix. The engineers are the only ones who hear the singer performing terribly. It is very easily done and done with instruments too. This has happened with live rock groups more times than people realize. In fact, one of the most known cases in recent times – allegedly – involved Steve Augeri who was at that time fronting for Journey. An on-site engineer was overdubbing his live performance with a studio mix when Augeri laid down the tracks for one of their studio releases. On other songs where they did not have studio versions of Augeri singing hits, drummer Deen Castronovo sang lead. We live in a world of fakery today because it’s the message that’s most important.
As long as Beyoncé continues to go along willingly with the power brokers guiding her career (and effectively using her for their ends), she will continue to be on top. If she makes a big enough (and unpardonable), mistake, she’ll be out. Once she starts looking old, she’ll also be out. You don’t go up against the Elite and win. Just ask Dr. Drew who made one comment about his concern for Hillary’s health and his show was canceled only a few days later. Hillary is another one who has the blessing of the Elite. They need her for what she can accomplish for them. But she is also replaceable.
The Elite are using individuals to further their agenda and Satan is behind all of it. While I’m quite sure that the individual celebrities and singers do not have a real clue as to what’s truly going on behind the scenes, they know that as long as they continue to go along with whatever is put in on their plate, they will continue to be “blessed.”
All of this increasing unveiling of the supernatural and occult makes me believe that the Elite is almost ready to come out of the shadows. Their endeavors are taking on a life of its own. The puppet masters may soon be ready to step from behind the curtain to introduce themselves to the world. It may be still too early yet, but one day soon, it will happen. The saddest part is that they will be welcomed by society with open arms.

Vigilant Citizen is an interesting website and one I peruse here and there from time to time. But I will say that, in the past, I have enjoyed its very few but very interesting ‘sinister sites’ write-ups (as there is indeed an endless number of this kind/type of architectural buildings throughout the world). As for the music industry, in particular, there is far much more going on to be sure. You are certainly right when you say that the Elite is ‘ready to come out of the shadows.’ They have already done so right out in the open outright it appears (for all practical purposes). I believe the opening ceremony of the Gotthard tunnel in Switzerland is an excellent example of the open defiance of this evil cabal that is both brazen and arrogant. Especially through the arrogance and idea of ‘public initiation’ as the least of it. In fact, this ceremony can be viewed on You Tube as there are several fine videos discussing the event. In fact, it is because of these things (as they have been going on for some time now) that I often send the following links below to those who may not be informed nor are aware of the nature or depth and gravity of this deception. That is, the greater plan of the devil playing right into his own playpen. More often than not, I refer the following articles in the order that they are to be viewed so as to provide a clear understanding of the reality of such a deception. Let me know what your thoughts are on the following links? In the order that they are to be viewed is simply:

Thank you again for your articles, Dr. DeRuvo. The Lord bless.

Hello Dr. DeRuvo,
I usually don’t like to refer You Tube videos on the fly, but to illustrate the conclusion of your article I think the Gotthard tunnel opening ceremony in Switzerland is an excellent case for your conclusion, as an example. If anything, a picture truly is worth a thousand words as they say. In this case, a video of 8:58 in length. This ceremony really illustrates the encroaching darkness that is now upon us. It is encouraging, as much as I do not like to refer to the comments section, that a passerby to the video made this comment after viewing the video (in so many words), “I don’t have religion, but from this, I wanna start to stay on Jesus’ side.” This specific link to this ceremony is provided by You Tube video author, ‘God Is Love.’ The link is as follows as I hope the link will work:

I generally don’t like to include links in comments simply because I don’t have a lot of time to look at them and view their authenticity. In this case, it provides an overview of the ceremony, which certainly seems demonic enough. I’m sure they designed it for “art’s” sake and would say that things are open to interpretation. Whether intentional or not, it seems like they took their lead from Revelation and elsewhere and might even say they were deliberately mocking things long held dear.
Regardless, too many ceremonies of late – whether this one, the Olympic ceremonies, or something else altogether – seem to give a definite nod to Satan and his demonic kingdom. Christians certainly need to be aware of these things, but it does no good to focus on them as well.
What these things SHOULD do is cause Christians to understand how desperate the times are and create within us an even greater desire to witness to a lost world. As I did some research regarding Dr. Lake, I noticed that he tends to make the same “mistake” that others in that genre also make (Marzulli, Horn, etc.). I’ve made the same mistake. The problem is that these guys become “experts” in the demonic, pointing out all sorts of satanic involvement in society. It becomes their main (and sometimes only) focus. Because of that, they even get into minutiae that the Bible ignores, building bridges between “legends” and extra-biblical writings and Scripture where none really exists. People flock to their conferences, clamor for their books, and follow them with a fervor that SHOULD be used for presenting the gospel.
At one time, I was involved in that area myself and I now realize while it is good to understand that Satan is alive and well and in control of many things throughout society, going into that area deeply tends to assuage the “soulish” part of us. We then tend to mistake that soulish part for things SPIRITUAL and there is a great danger in that, in my opinion.
Loving art, music, and being creative also caters to the soulish aspect of our lives and in general, there is nothing wrong with art or music. However, if that becomes our entire focus, those things can also derail us and we need to be careful.
There is a great deal of talk today about all the signs of the times, the Nephilim, our DNA and how it “will” become infected demonically. Moreover, people spend an inordinate amount of time on specific tangents like Nimrod or what Lucifer was like before he fell and what the universe was like before he fell and how he allegedly lived on the moon or mars and other things. I think we’re wasting our time with that especially considering the fact that it can easily become a total focus for someone.
As I say, I think it is very good to rightly understand the times in which we live. It is also good to be able to discern (as you have), that evil is afoot and rapidly encroaching throughout society. However, the way some of these guys focus on so many things that are simply working theories at best is – I think – detrimental. I myself have written several books on the subject and I now wonder if I did so because of my own “prurient” interest in that area? I’m not sure, but I DO know that at this point, with the knowledge that Satan is alive and well and the understanding of WHY and HOW he is doing what he does, I would rather focus on knowing my Lord and Savior far better than focusing on those things that the Bible is really silent on.
Does it matter what some legend says about Nimrod? What matters is what the Bible says. We know Nimrod isn’t really important anyway. He was an individual used by Satan to accomplish something. Once God confused the languages, Nimrod’s time was over and Satan moved onto others. He’s been doing that since then and will continue to do it until his “spiritual” son, Antichrist comes to the surface when the time is right.
I guess what I’m saying is that it is enough for Christians to understand that evil exists, it is growing, but it will all be overcome. In fact, with Christ in our life, we are more than overcomers and there is nothing that can harm us spiritually unless we come to fear it and if we know Him and His Word, there is no reason to fear anything evil.
The Christian’s job – as far as I understand it – is to fulfill the Great Commission in spite of the odds. This was what Jesus did. This is what Peter did. This is what Paul did. That was the focus and should be ours as well. Respectfully, I’ll state that I think Dr. Lake and too many others spends an inordinate amount of time creating timelines, possibilities, and theories that connect ancient evil to today and it’s all unnecessary. Satan is THE evil despot who gains willing control over certain human beings in order to further his enterprises. He is the key and all we need to know about him is revealed for us in God’s Word. The rest is questionable at best and time-consuming. All of it may only serve to push people off track from the one job given to us by Christ Himself.
Too many (unlike you), do not have discernment and do not recognize what is happening in society today. Too many spend too much time focusing on evil instead of on God and His sovereign plan. I’m very glad you recognize what is happening in the world. You are miles ahead of many others. If you will help them also understand that while evil is increasing its hold over society, Christians must continue to be about the Father’s business and that is introducing the lost to Jesus for salvation (and equipping them to share the gospel with others who are lost), not running after guys whose sole focus seems to be on how thoroughly evil evil is throughout society. I firmly believe that we see very little of Satan’s diabolical network and God has deliberately kept it that way to safeguard us. For those who are curious and have a penchant to understand more of that evil hierarchy, I think God will allow them to have their wish, but I also do not believe any good will come of it.
Just my opinion. 😀

I’m glad the links worked and thank you for your response. I will have to say that I completely agree with you. I think I am now finding myself in the same position now when I think of my interest in these things. In fact, it was C.S. Lewis, himself, who had stated the dangers of having an ‘unhealthy’ interest in such things or things of this nature where wisdom and discernment is lacking. This is not an issue of moderation in plain words. As you have stated, yes, “Christians certainly need to be aware of these things, but it does no good to focus on them as well.” In fact, I remember the time while my Mom was sick with her cancer (not too long before she passed away) when she had told me, “Eric, you shouldn’t be focusing on these things when you should be focusing on the Lord!.” She was right. You are dead on when you say that, “…it is enough for Christians to understand that evil exists” as there is a tendency, as many do so often, when you point out, “…spend too much time focusing on evil instead of on God and his sovereign plan.” Yes, it is enough to know evil exists…there is no need, or should be no need, to spend an inordinate amount of time, energy and/or resources to see or realize “how thoroughly evil evil is throughout society” as you state. It doesn’t get us anywhere or, at the very least, get us very far. We are ‘spinning the wheels’ at best and such redundancy is far too draining as these things truly do affect the soul — for they are spiritual in nature indeed, as you correctly point out.
In fact it is the interest in such things that reminded me of the Garden of Eden…the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This tree was very specific — a designated and sharp line of demarcation. A fine line of volition. In my humanity, I found it difficult to just simply settle for God’s silence on these matters. The arguments of silence in Scripture was not enough. Though I had a natural inclination/interest in these things, my interest was fueled in the untimely death of my mother. I even found myself asking the most basic of metaphysical questions as to the ‘why’ of things. But the search was far more appealing in the area of epistemology (and expectedly so) in what can I know? There must be more beyond the silence. Yes, of course, both naturally and predictably, fueled by the issues of evil and suffering I would have myself a very hot fire burning throwing everything in. This is where the interest certainly took an ‘unhealthy’ turn (straying off the road) but not for the worst, thank God. God’s final word and say on the matter is more than enough. Sure, everything is a work in progress but only need to rest on that truth. If anything, it does or, at least, ought to encourage fellow believers to go about His business to a greater capacity knowing that truth. Thank you again, Dr. DeRuvo, and the Lord bless you.

Hi modres, sorrry to say I personally did not spend time even on skimming your well researched post on the occult…. all obviously of satanic origin that has exponentially escalated in recent times. But it all started with unceasing exposure and imprinting from cradle to grave to Disney’s satanically inspired pseudo supernatural imitations in comics, cartoons, movies etc that thankfully I have escaped having immigrated as a more discriminating 17 year old. Disney et al are truly satanic cults regrettably enjoyed and financially supported by apparent CINOs who should be more discriminating in spending their God given moneys.
As a biblical and dispensational Christian I reject and try to avoid anything Disney including his popular theme park “creations” magnifying humanistic fables…all diverting attention from the true miracles in the Bible and evident in His miraculous globe created for the benefit of his foremost creation, Adam’s race.

Thanks for your comments, Rutnerh. I tend to agree with you that much within the movie-making of Disney is undergirded by occult symbolism. I realize that many disagree with that assessment and that’s their right. Even if we could agree that Disney’s movies were not DIRECTLY linked to occult symbolism, they obviously helped pave the way.
Your abbreviated term CINO has numerous meanings. Can we assume you mean “Christian in Name Only” is are you using it another way?
