President-Elect Trump’s Position on Israel

We cannot continue to let Israel be treated with such total disdain and disrespect. They used to have a great friend in the U.S., but…not anymore. The beginning of the end was the horrible Iran deal, and now this (U.N.)! Stay strong Israel, January 20th is fast approaching!

The above quote from the Washington Post indicates the path that President-Elect Donald Trump will take when he takes the oath of office on January 20, 2017. He has also stated he will move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Beyond this, though the UN has come out officially condemning more of Israel’s building of settlements on the West Bank, Trump’s “nominee to be ambassador to Israel, David M. Friedman, has said Jewish settlements in the West Bank are legal.”

Region 7 (purple) represents the area over which the Saudi royal family would rule. Area number 4 is where the Club or Rome sees Israel being moved to.

Of course, for the past several decades at least, the United States has been pulling away from supporting Israel to a position of abject opposition to nearly anything the current Israeli government attempts to bring about. The current U.S. position of supporting an alleged two-state solution is an interesting one, especially considering the fact that way back in 1948, when a two-state solution was offered to Arab nations, those nations roundly rejected the idea that there should be a two-state solution or that Israel should continue to be part of the Middle East.

In fact, as we’ve highlighted previously, the secretive Club of Rome produced a document that shows the entire world divided up into 10 sections. While this document includes Israel, Israel itself – as a country – was relocated to the southern portion of Africa.

While the world’s leaders continue to push this so-called two-state solution, the truth is that no one really wants one. Arabs do not. Israel does not, but has put up with whatever the UN has essentially pushed the nation’s way.

Regardless of what President-Elect Trump’s actual intentions are regarding Israel, the Bible tells us that the nation will ultimately stand alone. Referring to the last days, the prophet Zechariah states the following.

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. (Zechariah 12:3; KJV)

This is a promise from the Lord and it is designed to cause the leaders and people of Israel to focus solely on Jehovah for deliverance. There will come a time when no one will stand with Israel. This is the first time that I can recall that representatives from the United States have taken such a harsh stance against Israel as Kerry has recently done. Prior to this, there was at least some semblance of supporting Israel. Now, even this has been removed by people who have no clue and are governed by anti-Semitism, hatred, and a complete lack of knowledge concerning God’s will for Israel.

It may be that a Trump Administration will increase support for Israel, however, according to Scripture, this won’t last. Zechariah tells us that Israel will become a “burdensome stone” for all other nations and all who work against Israel will be “cut in pieces.” This goes back to the promises God originally made to Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3). Those who oppose Israel place themselves under God’s curse. It doesn’t matter what the individual Jews of Israel are like right now. What matters is whether or not people are willing to support what God intends to do with Israel in the future.

It’s very easy to join in with the corruption and hatred of the world in a chorus of condemnation for Israel. Yet, there are a plethora of sections of Scripture that speak of the fact that God supports Israel. When He chastises them, He does so for His glory and their growth. If one generation of Jews fully rejects God, it is clear from Scripture that God always saves for Himself a remnant (Romans 9-11). The through line for Israel is the remnant that God always saves for Himself. This is clear from the words of Paul in Romans.

There will come a day according to Scripture when “all Israel will be saved.”

And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ‘The Deliverer will come out of Zion; he will remove ungodliness from Jacob’. (Romans 11:26; NET)

We can argue about this all day and get nowhere or we can allow Scripture to speak to us about the promises God has made toward Israel. Over a year ago, PM Netanyahu stated, “I feel profound obligation to speak to you about a threat to the survival of my country and the survival of my people, Iran’s quest for nuclear weapons. In nearly 4,000 years of history, many have tried repeatedly to destroy the Jewish people.”

Netanyahu is correct in that many have tried to destroy the tiny nation of Israel, yet that nation still stands, back from the ashes as it were. We know that in the Old Testament, many rogue nations attempted to destroy Israel. They were allowed to try by God Himself and normally, they were allowed as a means of God’s chastisement. However, God always punished every nation even when He used them as that arm of judgment against Israel.

Netanyahu further pointed out the following truth. “Even if Israel has to stand alone, Israel will stand.” I doubt seriously that the prime minister understands why Israel continues to stand, but he is correct when he says it. Israel will continue to stand and God will, during the coming Tribulation, pull out from Israel His final remnant. Those individuals are already marked for salvation and will gratefully embrace it when the blinders are removed from their eyes. These in turn will survive the Tribulation and go into the coming Millennial Kingdom over which Jesus Himself will reign physically, where they will enjoy the full measure of covenants issued by God to Israel.

It will be interesting to see what type of presidency is experienced by Donald Trump. He says he will support Israel. If he follows through, it will be far different from what the leaders of the United States have done for many years. Too many have simply gone through the motions and of late, the abject hatred and anger toward Israel has become too obvious. It’s not for “peace” that Kerry and others within the Obama Administration do what they do. It is borne out of their own hatred for Jews and they will be called on the carpet for it by God Himself, in His timing.

If you do not support what God is doing regarding Israel, that’s up to you. But I would respectfully warn and caution you that you are standing in opposition to the God of all Creation. He has revealed His plans for Israel and will bring those plans to fruition whether anyone likes it or not.

Just as importantly, He wants no one to perish (2 Peter 3:9) and that includes Jewish people even if you consider the Jews of Israel to be so-called “fake” Jews. If you cannot support Israel, at least support the fact that God will save some Jewish individuals who are in as much need of the Savior as are Gentiles. Those Jews (fake or not, whatever that means), still need Jesus and the salvation that comes only from Him. You have no excuse, you who hide behind your erroneous views of Scripture that you think allows you to cast off certain people who are not to your liking. That’s not the way God works.

God is not done with Israel. That is clear from all of Scripture. Only through faulty exegesis and allegorization can anyone arrive to the conclusion that God has completely and permanently rejected Israel. His promises and program for that nation are still to unfold. We either support God or we suffer the consequences.

I consider myself still new to Christianity, and I have been wanting to learn more about the bible and that what is to come, however something is troubling me. I’m sorry if I go off-topic here, but this is what troubles me:

Donald Trump’s entire advisory board are Christians, and his chosen VP is also Christian. Trump has also said he will stop what silences most churches from free speech and he has vowed to get rid of the law which separates church from state. The U.S has always had church and state separate so this is a new thing to come about. While this may look good to many Christians, it can also be very dangerous. As Revelation states, in the end times we will be led by a political system, which consists of an antichrist, a false prophet and one religion. Now, the only way this can even begin to happen is if we have a religious political system, which appears as though could happen with an entire board of Christians as well as an openly Christian president and VP. I am also aware that in Revelation it states that this beast will go through a ‘deadly wound’ and that the deadly wound will be healed. I don’t want to make any assumptions. I’m not even sure what the deadly wound will be. I just wanted to post this, as it appears you have some great knowledge on the bible and was hoping you could assist me with this. I also agree with your views on the false prophet Mark Taylor, which was what brought me to this blog in particular. I have seen a lot on Mark Taylor, and Christians are beginning to believe him by the thousands. It just shows how easily deceived even us Christians can be. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

      Hi Ana,

Thanks very much for your comments. Check your email too.

Let me add that there are a good many Christians who seem to be in the Dominionist camp. These believe that Christians must work to convert society enough so that Jesus CAN return to set up His Kimgdom. In other words these folks believe things will progressively get better and better.

This doesn’t appear to be what the Bible teaches. Just the opposite seems to be the case.

We’ll see what happens under Trump.
