Curiouser and Curiouser…COVID-19

I’m really not sure what to make of this, but we are essentially watching the actual shutting down of America in real time. Schools are closed or closing. Some governors are demanding that bars and restaurants close (except for drive-throughs or take-out/delivery services). Sporting games gone. Many entertainment parks including Disney closed.

The public is being told to shelter in place, to not leave their homes unless it’s a very important reason to do so. Some locations (mainly blue states), are going further in setting curfews in place telling people they cannot be out after 8 or 10pm until 5 or 6am. We’re also told that we need to practice “social distancing,” stop shaking hands and even wear masks in public, not to mention we must wash our hands often throughout the day and keep hand sanitizer handy.

But here is my problem. Ultimately, call it whatever you want to call it; Wuhan Virus, Corona Virus, COVID-19 or something else, but it is said to have originated in China and now we are being told that it is “highly” contagious, which we are supposed to understand as being “more” contagious than other airborne diseases. But is it?

While we are watching American society essentially close down, there are many who are applauding, saying quarantine should be mandatory. This is what police and health officials in China have been doing with their citizens in that Communist regime. They’ve been either forcibly barricading people in their homes, or cuffing them and dragging them away for “treatment.”

There are clear voices who disagree with what is going on in the USA and they’re not afraid to say it. Of course, they are being panned by many, but shouldn’t their voices be heard or do we just give into the fear, doom and gloom being perpetrated by the media mainly along with Left-leaning politicians? Shouldn’t we sit back and consider the ramifications of what is going on now?

I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life; most of America going into shutdown mode. It’s unnerving and while some argue that it is better to be safe than sorry, it seems to me that the powers that be may well be using fear to do what government tends to do best: remove our rights and grow the government! There are a few on social networks who are considering this but many seem to think that the path we are taken is absolutely necessary. But is it? Take the time to look up “Event 201” on the ‘Net.

I go out every day. I refuse to be a prisoner in my own home. Martial Law has not be declared. I have rights under the Constitution and so do you. If people want to stay home, that’s up to them. If government officials, either federal, state, or local want to “recommend” or “suggest” or even “strongly urge” the populace to do certain things, that’s fine. But to enact draconian measures to stop something that may not be as bad as we are led to think may mean that something else is going on. Of course, that puts me smack dab in the middle of a conspiracy theory, right?

Consider that since before Trump was elected, the Left, led by the MSM have been attacking him and conservatives. It’s going on four years and not only has there been no let up, it’s gotten worse and I don’t see it improving even after he’s re-elected (does anyone actually think he won’t be re-elected?).

I’m just spitballing here, but I cannot help wondering, with all that we’ve seen regarding alleged “Russian collusion,” “impeachment hoax,” and more, that this ginning up the fear over Corona Virus is simply the latest effort by the Left to bring down Trump. How? By destroying the economy and in an election year! You don’t believe me? Go to any social network and read some of the thoughts published by diehard Leftists who are ROOTING for the economy to crash. They are beside themselves with glee at the thought that the Stock Market lost thousands of points the other day (though it’s on its way back up)!

The Left seems to clearly know that if the economy fails, the chances of electing Joe Biden are greater. Because of that, they have pulled out all the stops.

Now, I’m not saying that the COVID-19 is not bad, nor am I saying that it is not contagious. Obviously, like other viruses and flues before it, it presents a serious health hazard. However, there are always viruses, colds, and flues circulating in society. Who gets sick most of the time? People with compromised immune systems (the elderly, very young children and people with pre-existing health conditions). What makes Corona Virus more dangerous than other viruses? I’m not convinced it is more dangerous but this is the attitude that the Left, led by the MSM takes. They simply present it as though it is more contagious and now we’ve got to stay away from each other by 6 to 10 feet!

Of course, let’s also not forget that the MSM is largely focusing on President Trump’s use of the phrase “Chinese virus” as being “racist” instead of focusing on the real issues. I’m sure Trump does this to drive them crazy and it’s obviously working. Remember the “Black Plague,” “German Measles,” “Swine or Bird Flu,” “MERS” (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome), “Spanish Flu” and a host of others? They were all named based on their origins and they were never considered “racist.” But now with growing threat of political correctness, the Left is going after the “Chinese Virus” label. Why? Because China owns much of America’s debt and many of the corporations that are in America. These journos want to placate their Chinese overlords. It’s as simple as that.

This is also the use of Cold War tactics, in my opinion. Information is coming out that indicates that if China had worked faster to corral this disease it would not be having the impact it is right now. Instead, they covered it up, destroyed evidence and let it take its course. China lied and people died.

According to the map above and information, there have been 5,000 cases of Corona Virus up to today (the 17th), with 96 deaths.[1] Roughly 20 or so of those deaths all came from one nursing home in Washington State.

The CDC estimates that October 2019 to March 2020, there were as high as 55,000 deaths from the flu in the USA. [2] In this latter case, there was no “pandemic.” The USA did not shut down. Events, schools are parks were not canceled or closed. In fact, whether it was SARS, Ebola, West Nile Virus, H1N1 or something else prior to Corona Virus, the world went on with caution, but it went on.

Now, we are nearing a complete shutdown, to the point that the Trump administration is considering sending families $1000 for two months. Sounds like Socialism to me. It’s as if the government has allowed a situation to come about where people will demand a response and the government is happy (as usual) to provide it. It reminds me of the Hegelian Dialectic, which I’ve written about before.

It is also interesting to me that while numerous governors are ordering the shutdown of restaurants, bars and other retail establishments, some bar and restaurant owners are doubling down and standing against those orders because they believe they are not Constitutional orders. Remember, while there have been “states of emergencies” called, we are not yet in a situation of declared Martial Law, either locally or nationally. If we were, things would be different because the Constitution would be “temporarily” set aside.

In spite of the fact that the Constitution still stands, at least some of the governors of blue states are also signing bills that allow them to call for the cessation of sales of guns and ammo. That should make you perk up a bit. Why, when there is such seeming strong need, are some out to ban the sale of guns and ammo? If society continues moving in the direction it is, we can expect to see looting and violence, especially considering some states are releasing prisoners for their “safety” and cities like Philly are essentially providing a list of things that they will not be arresting people for, including prostitution. This is an invitation for criminals to simply disobey the law without fear of arrest but politicians are more concerned about ensuring that law-abiding people cannot obtain guns or ammo. Hopefully, you’ve spent the past few years doing that.

We see what’s going on in our stores because some are caught up in hoarding for whatever reason. Some believe they need to stock up, while others are trying to get rich from stocking up. Since it is this type of thing that causes people to act desperately, it’s also times like these that make people want to break into homes to get what they were unable to legally buy at stores.

Of course, in California, if you steal things valued at less than $950, you won’t be prosecuted, so it’s simply easier to take what you can find anyway. Also in California, people are being ordered to shelter in place, to not leave their homes. I’m wondering how that applies to the homeless. Are they not to leave their tents?

Of course, the ridiculousness of California is in allowing people to defecate on the sidewalks and not be prosecuted for it, spreading all manner of germs and filth among the populace. Leaders in California are not concerned about that at all, but the Corona Virus is a major “pandemic,” I guess.

Forgive my incredulity, but this whole Corona Virus thing concerns me and I cannot help wondering if it is as contagious as some are indicating. There is evidence coming out now that the Director General of WHO has overstated the Corona Virus fatality rate.[3] Why would he do that? Could it be for the same reason that the MSM is crying “The sky is falling!!” and “We’re all gonna die!!”? What do they hope to gain?

It seems to me that on one hand, some would love to see the economy crash, as I mentioned. On the other hand, is this merely another way that the government will gain more control over society while they infringe upon our rights? It’s a bit too early and difficult to tell, but to put it bluntly, it would not surprise me to find this will be the case.

Unless I’m completely mistaken, this “pandemic” is not even coming close to the situation that existed with SARS or even last year’s Flu. Thousands upon thousands died then during the Obama administration, but he seemed to wait until a few thousand people had died before he even began to do anything. Even then, there was never any reference to a pandemic. Society did not grind to a halt.

Could this all be an illusion, a “crisis” designed to usher in emotional panic that forces people to beg the government to “do” something? This is not to say that Corona Virus is not legitimate. I believe it is legitimate and we should take appropriate precautions to keep ourselves from getting sick, just like we would if there was a Flu epidemic or something else. Common sense should rule the day. But there is more here. Much more. We are in a presidential election year and the Left has proven that they want Trump unseated by any means necessary.

Is this their last desperate attempt to unseat him, so they can place Dementia Joe into the office, to be fully controlled by China and other Leftists who want America destroyed? It could be as simple as that, in all reality.

Let’s not forget that every day, throughout the world, roughly 150,000 people die from a variety of things. When 55,000 people died from the flu in 2019-20, not one person said we had a “pandemic.”

Wasn’t it Saul Alinsky who taught that you should never let a good crisis go to waste? Whether this Corona Virus simply happened accidentally or it was engineered to happen doesn’t really matter at this point. What matters is the way the Left has chosen to use this to their advantage.
