Loving the Lost, Both Loveable and Unlovable
I have to constantly check my heart and mind. It is so terribly easy some times to “hate” the sinner instead of the sin. I will admit it. I am not Jesus and I know that I do not love as He loved. Yes, He loved with words, but He also loved with actions and the way in which He responded to people after they treated Him like He was a piece of manure on the ground. I have to ask myself, how would I respond in such a situation? Do I love the lost enough to sincerely ask God to blot my name out of the book of life?
We Will Stand…for What?
But, as Lighthouse Trails has pointed out, the real problem with tonight’s event may well have to do with New Ager Roma Downey. Most will remember Downey as being connected to the docudrama for The History Channel, The Bible. Most may not be aware that Roma (along with husband, Mark Burnett) are heavily involved in New Age mysticism, in spite of calling themselves Christians. They seem to equate to people like Eckhardt Tolle, Neale Donald Walsch, Tony Robbins, and too many others to name here. Downey has endorsed books that fall squarely into the New Age category. Her theology is suspect only because of the company she keeps and her willingness to endorse books/authors who are not within Christian circles, but who are involved in mystical ones.

Will You Succumb to the Coming Great Deception? I Pet Goat, II
Obama is shown in a different light from Bush. Obama wears a mortar board and wears white gloves. The mortar board is there to give the illusion that President Obama is an intellectual, someone who is smart enough to take this country out of its economic depression. We know this is only an illusion that President Obama is far different from George W. Bush because at one point, Obama looks directly at the audience and gives a huge wink with a smile.
Yoga and Mindfulness Tools for Children and Adolescents
One of the main goals of yoga is to help initiates open their Third Eye or Pineal Gland, which resides deep within the brain. Drugs can do this. Sodomy can do this. Magick, spells, and incantations can do this. Yoga can also do this, but how?
Will You Succumb to the Coming Great Deception? Part Two
Today’s average Christian is far from familiar with God’s Word. Would it be a huge understatement to say that many to most churchgoers today do not read His Word regularly? Would it be incorrect to say that most people who attend church today do not pray on a regular basis, or seek God and His wisdom through His Word?
Will You Succumb to the Coming Great Deception? Part One
Think about something. When Antichrist is revealed, the events surrounding the reveal are not only accompanied by all the supernatural power of Satan, but will also include a deluding influence that God Himself sends! If you do not love the truth, there is little to no hope for you at all and that should terrify you.
Opening the Third Eye via Witchcraft, Sorcery, and Magic
Humanity (except for Noah and his immediate family) had been thoroughly corrupted and there was absolutely no possibility for salvation for them. It was hopeless, which is why God chose to start over with Noah. To a smaller degree, this is also why God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. It’s not so much because almost all the men and boys were homosexuals. It’s because they had become thoroughly evil in and of themselves. There was no possibility of them seeking God at all. Once the door to the spiritual realm is open to such a degree, there is no going back. The evil cannot be undone and must simply be destroyed. That is the danger of opening the Third Eye, or the Pineal Gland.
Oprah as God? Say It Ain’t So…
The problem with The Shack – from a theological perspective – is manifold. I have a Bachelor in Bible, a Masters in Biblical Studies, and a Doctorate in Theology. While I certainly do not know everything about the Bible (and don’t claim to), I do understand more than basic doctrine and theology. I have studied Greek and am currently taking more Hebrew. The theological ideology of The Shack is one that is filled to the brim with theological problems, if we are basing that work on the Bible. This is the case, loosely speaking.
3 Magic Words Brought to You by the New Age Movement
The movie is filled with platitudes primarily, statements designed to make you believe something about yourself, others, and the world. To find out what the three magic words are, the viewer needs to wait until the end of the movie, but you may be way ahead of me by now anyway. For those who aren’t, before I divulge that little secret, let me make some observations about the film and the concept itself.
The Social Gospel
But not long after Rauschenbush came to be deeply concerned for the poor he began writing extensively about ways to help them. One book he wrote in particular – “Christianizing the Social Order” – influenced protestant denominations throughout America. He eventually came to be known as “Father of the Social Gospel in America.”
