Prophecies of Isaiah, Pt 5

What was Isaiah’s reaction to this? His own uncleanness! He was beside himself with remorse. Here he was in God’s holy Presence and his own filth became that much more pronounced. How could it not, yet this prophet Isaiah had already been used by God to bring a prophetic message to the wayward people of Israel. Yet, he learned that he was no better than they because he also was “unclean” as he stood there in God’s Presence.

Prophecies of Isaiah, Pt 4

The latter days spoken of often in Scripture, are times in which I believe we are living now. In fact, it seems clear that these “latter days” begin with the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus. From that point to today, we have been living in “latter” or “last” days before aspects of prophetic discourse finds fulfillment. Several thousand years ago, the prophet Isaiah spoke of the days in which we now live, but he also included the coming Millennial Kingdom over which Jesus will reign.

Prophecies of Isaiah, Pt 3

There is coming a time though when the “root of Jesse” will reign over this world. Isaiah 11 clearly discusses a time in the future when true peace will prevail and it will prevail because of the fact that this “root of Jesse” will reign on the throne physically in Jerusalem over all nations. As we’ve discussed before, even during this time, sin will exist because people who have survived the Tribulation without dying will go into this time where Jesus reigns supreme. These human beings will continue to have the sin nature though saved and completely regenerated with the new life in Christ. This is why Jesus will need to rule with a “rod of iron” (Psalm 2:9, 27; Revelation 2:27; 12:5, etc.).

Today’s Prophet Who Comes with Signs and Wonders

The question all listeners should ask when hearing from someone claiming to be a “voice” of God is what is his/her message? Does that message align with what God teaches? Even if their message comes with signs and wonders that appear to be spiritual, but the message itself opposes God’s truth, it must be shunned. In fact, Moses went so far to say that a person who speaks in such a way, even with the presentation of signs/wonders, should be killed.

Prophecies of Isaiah, Pt 2

One of the interesting things about the book of Isaiah is the fact that, under God’s direction, the prophet constantly goes back and forth between the rebellious nature of Israel and the future of Israel when they will fulfill their created destiny of being a true light to all nations. Because of Israel’s hard hearted nature, rebelliousness, and sinful attitudes, the nation has reaped what she has sown. For most of Israel’s history, nations have plotted against her and she has often been overcome with many Israelites taken into captivity and dispersed throughout the world. This, of course, has been allowed by God for His ultimate glory. In fact, that is why He does anything, not only related to Israel, but related to all people throughout the world.

Prophecies of Isaiah, Pt 1

The prophet Isaiah’s name means “the salvation of the Lord” signifying that true salvation comes from God, not human beings. God offers His salvation, yet men and women since the fall have sought their own means or methods of “salvation,” which are not salvation at all. The book of Isaiah makes this undeniably clear, yet in spite of the truth found throughout Isaiah and history that proves the merit of Isaiah’s prophecies (as being God-inspired or “breathed”), people continue to reject God’s truth to their own peril and detriment.

Proverbs is Filled with Comparisons Between Righteous and Unrighteous

The Bible constantly compares the righteous to the unrighteous. Read the Proverbs or the Psalms to gain a greater understanding of how God sees these two groups. Then ask yourself if you have been declared righteous by God Himself. That can only occur when you place your faith in Christ’s finished work on your behalf. You’re agreeing that you cannot save yourself and only by placing your faith in Jesus can you be saved at all, from an eternity without God. Romans 5:1 tells us, “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” We are justified because of faith in God, not because of works (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Speaking the Truth in Love

It’s easy for us to judge. It’s easy to want to pray the type of imprecatory prayer that David prayed. He can be excused because he did not have the entirety of Scripture at his disposal as we do. However, the Christian’s strength is in seeking God, in submitting ourselves to Him and allowing Him and His love for the lost work in and through us in order to reach the lost of this world. That is how He set things up and that is how He expects us to move through this world.

CNN Producer Admits Russia Story is Fake for Ratings

It’s an eye-opening video, one that will confirm to critically thinking people that the alleged Russia hacking is a created situation to increase ratings and bring down President Trump. It will not, however, convince anyone on the left who believes beyond doubt that the Russians did hack into our election in order to get Trump elected. The whole idea is preposterous since Russia benefited greatly from their dealings with Hillary during the Obama Administration. They would’ve continued to benefit had Hillary become president. Now, there is virtually no benefit for them, which speaks directly against the false notion that they wanted Donald Trump to become president. Makes absolutely no sense and this Project Veritas undercover unmasks the situation as a simply ratings ploy. If it was successful in taking down President Trump, that would’ve been fine with CNN as well.

Why Does a Closer Walk Often Mean Ethereal to So Many?

More Christians need to realize that knowing God is not through ecstatic experiences like speaking in tongues or some emotional high that we are to take as directing our steps. The life of a Christian is often mundane because it involves submitting ourselves to Him and His purposes, which means constantly pushing Self to the rear. This is not fun and anyone who tells you the process is fun may not be doing it right. I can guarantee you from Scripture that Self will do everything it can to be top dog! Paul says we should wrestle with it to subdue it (Romans 8:13; 1 Corinthians 9:27). This is exactly what Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane. It was so intense, He sweated great drops of blood (Luke 22:39-46). Try to imagine that and yes, it is an actual medical situation where the stress or tension of a situation can dilate the blood vessels until it appears as though the person is bleeding from the forehead or face.
