“Obama’s Real Face”

July 1, 2009 at 7:12 AM

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told Iranians that U.S. President Barack Obama has “removed his mask” and has revealed “the real face of the American people.” He charged that President Obama offered to negotiate with Iran but has not kept true to his word.

The above quote is from Arutz Sheva’s headlines today.  It is interesting that Ahmadinejad uses the phrase “removed his mask” referring to Obama.  In many ways, he has done just that.  Prior to the election, he completely downplayed (lied) any real connection he may have had with Islam himself.  Shortly after the election however, we see pictures of Obama bowing to the Royal prince of Iran, and most recently when referring to Ahmadinejad, he used the Islamic blessing “peace be upon him.”

Only naive people in this country ignored the potential credibility problem with Obama (questions about his citizenship in the U.S., as well as his Muslim connections), because they believed that Obama was the guy who was going to take America to new heights.  What we have found so far is Obama’s willingness to take from those who have and give to those who have not.  Not too long ago, streets in Chicago were filled with protestors condemning the socialistic tendencies of our president.  One can only assume that these folks did not vote for Obama; either that or they woke up extremely fast to his tactics.

With respect to the Middle East, Obama’s solution seems to be centered around a divided Jerusalem, with Islam gaining full control of the entire Temple Mount, I’m sure.  What people fail to recognize (or remember) is that Jerusalem is seen over and over in the OT as God’s Holy City, irrevocably connected with Israel.  God has no sooner given that up than He has given Israel up, in spite of what some would have us believe.

In either case, it will be very interesting to say the least, with respect to how Obama deals with our nation’s difficulties and the world problems over the remaining time of his presidency.  It will also be interesting to see whether or not people still think of him as a type of messiah by the end of his term.  He will either have alienated the entire populace, or they will have fully embraced him.  We will see what God has decreed.
