Chris Matthews Fancies Himself a Comedian

Recently, Chris Matthews was heard making disparaging remarks about NJ Governor, Chris Christie.  His comments were (in part), “Chris Christie is moon over New Jersey, he should not wear white shirts, I tell you that.”  As if that was not enough, Matthews continued with, “I saw him the other day and I was amazed by it, he must be 300 plus, and that’s something he’s just gotta deal with because you’re not going to say, ‘I’m going to cut the budget,’ well, how about starting with supper?” [1]

You have to love CNN – what I call the Communist News Network – because of the über-liberal talking heads and anchors they employ to spread Socialist cheer around the world.  If it isn’t Matthews’ castigating Christie, it’s Kiran Chetry interviewing a couple of illegal aliens about the DREAM act (a dream for Communists, Socialists, and Fascists). Why isn’t that considered aiding and abetting since it is obvious that the individuals she interviewed are breaking the law to be here?  Shouldn’t the individuals – now that we KNOW they are here illegally – be deported?  Of course, if CNN was headquartered in Arizona, it would probably be against the law to even suggest that.

Hey, do you recall the period of time when the word “communist” had a bad connotation?  Now, it seems to be a badge of honor, although the word “progressive” is the preferred verbiage.

Gov. Christie is a man who says what he means, and means what he says.  The man’s moral fiber has actually made a difference in New Jersey.

Now we have liberals resorting to what they do best.  Instead of presenting facts, ad hominem attacks are the preferred method of denigration.  Because of what Christie has accomplished in the state of NJ, because of how he stands his ground when he knows he’s correct, because of his conservative position, and because he does not cower to the press, there is nothing for the liberal left to do except attack him personally.

Of course, Matthews’ love for President Obama seems to know no bounds.  This is in spite of the fact that Obama is none of those things Christie is; however, Obama is thin.  Is that supposed to make him a tremendous president?  If so, it has failed miserably.

Matthews is not the first talking head to condemn Christie based solely on his weight.  That makes Matthews nothing more than an arrogant copy-cat.  I would like for Matthews to tell me what Christie has done, or is doing wrong as Governor of the state of New Jersey.  I could care less about Matthews’ opinion of Christie’s weight, or his facial features, or how he parts his hair.  The people of NJ did not vote for Christie based on how he looks.  They voted for him based on what he said he would do and lo and behold, he has actually followed up on his campaign promises.  Can you believe that?  The man actually has upstanding moral fiber.

Yet we have President Obama, who is a fairly handsome man, keeps himself in shape and obviously appears healthy.  So?  He is a man who – aside from the way he looks – has done reprehensible things to this country and would do more if not for the fact that the Republicans gained a majority in the House, which means they have already been able to put the brakes on him.

Imagine what would have happened if the Republicans had not gained a majority.  Obama would continue to ram through his ideas and policies – the very same ideas and policies that are whispered in his ear by the people he reports to (and I am not talking about the American people either).

It is unfortunate to me to think that President Obama is the most obvious puppet this country has had to date.  I can think of no one in recent history who has tried to put into effect what the puppet masters are telling him to do.  It is no wonder that the man’s legacy (if the redactors and editors are left out of it) will show that he was a far worse president than Jimmy Carter!

Half the time, President Obama seems to have absolutely no clue about anything.  Like a butterfly, he flits from one idea to another, one week saying one thing, then the next, saying the opposite.  His words and his actions speak for themselves and it seems obvious enough that the man simply does not know what he is doing.  Moreover, he seems not to care either.  He is the president of the United States, an African-American with dubious origins and a plethora of questions of alleged illegal activity encircling him, questions that will not go away.  The fact that he has spent millions to keep the American people in the dark about his past says a great deal.

Yet in spite of this, Chris Matthews (after castigating Christie) says about Obama, “Shouldn’t this President be given another year before you dismiss him? Give him another year in the presidency before you begin to try to destroy him?” [2]

The answer to Matthews is why should he be giving anymore time?  George W. was not given a pass by the media and it is clear that Obama is doing whatever he can to trash America.

Directly due to Obamacare, a number of things have already changed with our own health care plan:

1. premiums have gone up from roughly $60 per month to over $100 per month and will go up again in 2011 to over $200 per month
2. our co-pays have increased from $15 to $20 for office visits
3. our co-pays for medication has also increased

This is a direct result of Obama’s Socialist agenda for the United States.  Even if it gets overturned by the new Congress, I cannot imagine our costs reverting to what they were before.  It simply won’t happen.

These are things you do not hear about though from the pandering media.  It seems they only have eyes for the homeless and the illegal aliens.  The rest of us are supposed to foot the bill, shut up, and not complain.

I don’t know about you, but I will take Chris Christie any day of the week.  At least I know that he will not be handing me a line of things that really mean something else.  When Christie has a press conference, the press is there circling like sharks, just waiting for Christie to say something they don’t like.

When Obama has a press conference, nothing of the sort happens.  Even if one member of the press brings up something that does not appear to make the president look good, it seems to be more for effect than anything else.  It allows Obama to sound like a leader and the press quickly and quietly backs down.

There is no such thing as an unbiased media.  It simply does not exist.  Chris Matthews proves it, Kiran Chetry, and nearly every other individual associated with CNN, Headline News, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, NPR, and whomever else is out there wants to push the liberal left’s agenda as far as they can all the while maintaining that they are unbiased.  Like President Obama, the news agencies in this country actually believe Americans are morons.

I suggest checking the BBC or some other news agency or bureau to get the real news.  Pretty sad that you have to go to sources outside this country just to find out what the rest of the world believes.

Chris Matthews, in spite of his liberal leanings, used to be somewhat engaging.  Now, he’s simply a buffoon.  If you go to his Web site, you will see his photo from a number of years ago, when he was younger and thinner.  Having put on some weight over the years, I guess he does not feel the weight gain matters since he is only discussing aspects of the news.  However, where Christie is concerned, apparently, Matthews believes that politicians should be thin because they will somehow do a better job.

It is time for Chris Matthews to shut his pie hole because he long ago ran out of intelligent things to say.  He keeps trying though and while he cannot be blamed for that – after all, that’s what he’s getting paid for – there comes a time when the better part of valor means to self-censor and realize when enough is enough.  If all he can do now is condemn people with whom he does not politically agree for their weight or looks, then it is clear that for Matthews, that time passed a while ago.  He has overstayed his welcome.
