Obama’s New “Painful” Budget

Recently, Obama has stated that his new budget is not “pain-free.”  He says we are going to have to cut things we do not want to cut.

What I find interesting is that Mr. Obama’s publicists and talking heads are already talking about what Obama has cut and what he’s done to reduce the deficit.  Of course, there has been absolutely no mention of the millions and millions of dollars that this particular administration has sent overseas to help rebuild Lebanon, as well as the multitude of mosques that apparently require money from the United States.

Let’s not even talk about the number of vacations that our first family has taken since moving into the White House.  These vacations were sumptuous feasts for the first family that in essence, not only flew in the face of common sense, but was a huge slap in the face to all the Americans who no longer have a home to call their own.

All the talk by the Obama Administration of making deep cuts and learning to do without does not seem to apply to him or his family.  They live high on the hog as if there is no problem with America’s economy – though whenever the situation arises, it has become extremely easy for Mr. Obama to place blame America’s economic ills on his predecessor.

Here is what I fear is starting to take place.  First up, it is clear that Mr. Obama has already begun his re-election campaign.  I recall the man saying (when asked by an interviewer) that he would rather be a great one-term president than a mediocre two-term president.  That’s my paraphrase by the way, not his exact verbiage.

I think when someone becomes the president, it is difficult if not impossible to walk away from it until two terms have been fulfilled.  Anything less is considered a failure.  So if Mr. Obama is not re-elected, a number of things will happen.

I can picture that Mr. Obama’s second run for president will include a number of things.  Of course, the aforementioned alleged great things he has done with respect to the economy will be out in front.  Blame will continue to placed on Bush and the conservative Republicans for their failure to work with Democrats.  This of course, will be seen as the reason Mr. Obama has not been able to accomplish anything of real worth.  What will be neither discussed or highlighted is the fact that for most of Mr. Obama’s first term, he had both the House and Senate in his back pocket, thanks to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

What will also not be discussed is the fact that while Mr. Obama’s healthcare package got rammed through Congress, over 70% of the American people did not want it at all.  While he was busy promising repeatedly during his election campaign to never raise taxes during his tenure as president, it quickly became obvious that to have such a massive healthcare program, new taxes would actually be required and they would not be able to be called anything else.

In short, Mr. Obama will be seen as savior to the American people because of his “concern” regarding healthcare.  This is in spite of the fact that his rating went extremely low during his presidency and it was in part due to the fact that he was completely deaf when it came to hearing the American people.  It was obvious that he is much more capable of listen to the people of Egypt than Americans.

IF all this information comes out and is fairly represented during Mr. Obama’s re-election campaign (which is doubtful due to the liberal media’s love for the socialist agenda), it may actually negatively affect Mr. Obama’s chances for re-election.  If it appears to his handlers that he is actually in danger of possibly losing a re-election bid, then we can assume that all the stops will be pulled out to keep this from happening.

What can we expect?  It is certain that we will see and hear charges of racism if it appears that Mr. Obama may well lose a re-election bid.  Minister Farrakhan already made these statements early in Mr. Obama’s first term.

The fact that Mr. Obama’s ability to run this country is severely lacking and when compared to other presidents, is probably worse than Jimmy Carter who shares the same party affiliation with Mr. Obama, will not enter into the picture if Mr. Obama’s handlers have their way.  This should not be too difficult to accomplish since it appears that every Democratic president seems to enjoy the pandering of the media.

Here is a reality:  if Mr. Obama would start doing the numbered list below, he might actually wind up doing some good for this country instead of simply for Mr. Soros, et al:

1. stop spending money indiscriminately
2. stop taking so many vacations
3. start listening to the majority of American people
4. stop listening to George Soros

The tragic factor is that since Mr. Obama has shared with the world the “dreams of his father,” we know what motivates him.  Because we know what motivates him, we also know what does NOT motivate him.  He has made it clear that what does not motivate him are the things that this country was founded upon.  It is those things written in the United States Constitution.  Things like freedom of speech, freedom of expression, the right to bear arms, and other rights found within that document, as well as the Bill of Rights.

We can be assured that from now until the next presidential election, we will hear spin.  The spin will be such that it will attempt to put what Mr. Obama has done in a bright light of patriotic fervor, while either ignoring or downplaying any of the things that have contributed to a major downturn economically in this country.

It is too bad that Mr. Obama became president.  It is too bad that so many voted for him.  It is too bad the media parlayed their love affair with a man we hardly knew into even a one-term presidency.

In America, we have the electoral college.  We also have the media.  While the electoral college seems completely unnecessary in these days of high-tech wizardry, it also appears that the media has become a rather useless tool for truth, and a useful gimmick for the left.

All in all, God is in control.  I do not doubt that Mr. Obama is president because of God’s sovereignty and because God’s purposes will be fulfilled.  However, just as God raised various individuals up for certain roles in the past who were no friend of God, He seems to do the same thing especially now as we move closer to the time of His return.

I often wonder if Mr. Obama has an original thought.  I picture him at his desk in the Oval Office simply waiting for the phone to ring.

“Hello? This is Barry.”

“Barry?  George.”

“Mr. Soros, sir! Good to hear from you.  What’s on the agenda today?”

“Take a vacation.  Spend a few million dollars from the Treasury.  The dollar still needs to be devalued more.”

“Sounds good, sir.  Where am I off to this time?”

“You need to go to Japan.  While you’re there, you can take your children to the Hobby and Toy Show called Wonderfest.”

“Great.  Who else is going with me and what do we say to the American people?”

“We say nothing to the American people.  Take your family, your extended family and make it a press junket too.”

“Will do.  So, how is Mrs. Soros?”

“Oy…you should ask?  She keeps bugging me to take her out for a nice steak dinner.”

“Women are funny that way, aren’t they, Mr. Soros?”

“They are…oh and by the way, our new joint venture in Palestine is working well.  It should go off without a hitch and should even bring you further away from any possible entanglements with Israel.”

“That’s great.  I’m glad.  I’d really like to be able to cut Israel lose completely and…”

“Right, so would I, but we can’t right now.  We have to make it appear as though we have some concern for Israel.  Losing Rahm was not so good because as a Jew himself, it made you appear to be favorable to Jews.”

“I know, but Rahm has his own road to hoe…anything else then, Mr. Soros?”

“Not yet, but stay by the phone.”

“Always.  You have a great day.”

“Thanks.  You too, Barry.”

“Michelle!  Pack your bags.  We’re going to Japan!”
