The Left’s Automatic Reflex: Must Be Racism

“This country will never elect a black man to be president.”
The above words were uttered many times by black individuals leading up to the election that placed Mr. Obama into the Oval Office in 2008. In essence, the race card was played as a “triple dog dare ya” toward whites in America, initiating a “prove you’re not a racist” mentality. The only way to prove to everyone that you were not a racist was to simply vote for Obama. No amount of explanation regarding the fact that Mr. Obama offered nothing other than platitudes like “Change is coming!” and the promise that he would not EVER raise taxes would suffice. As far as the left was concerned, if a white person did not vote for Obama, the implication was that he/she was racist. End of story.
The trouble is that Mr. Obama himself had a deep connection with a church whose minister was (and remains) obviously racist, but couched his verbiage and sermonizing within the culture of Black Dominion Theology, which without exception, brings the Bible to a new low.
Since Mr. Obama did not provide any real details about what he meant by the “change” that was coming during his campaign, we were left to wonder. In spite of this and the fact that he was very closed-mouth about a lot of things, the continued insistence that whites would not vote for a black man was the battle cry of the left.
In essence then, the race card had a major part in getting Mr. Obama elected the first time. He brings precious little actual experience to the highest office of the land. Now that he has publicly declared he will be running for re-election, the left seems to feel that falling back on the same excuse (the race card) will work to get Mr. Obama a second chance to destroy this country, picking up where he left off from his first election.
Lately, Whoopi Goldberg, Bob Schieffer, Joy Behar, and a host of other “leftheads” have come out to announce unequivocally that Donald Trump and others who have spent so much time on the birth certificate issue (along with his grades at Harvard, etc.) must be racist. To these folks, there is no other alternative and they don’t mind saying it.
I am inclined to think that talking about the birth certificate issue as much as some do is no different from reaching for the race card as often as others do. Both positions are wrong.
Why is it Mr. Obama is somehow supposed to be given a guarantee that he shouldn’t be criticized? Where does it say that he is exempt from coming under the scrutiny of the political microscope?
It would appear that Mr. Obama has spent millions (taxpayer’s money through use of the Justice Department) to keep aspects of his private life private. Because he did that, wouldn’t you think that people would ask “why”? Why did he feel the need to take all of his records and hide them where people couldn’t find them? The natural question is why does he feel the need to do that and didn’t he think that by taking those measures, people would want to see them?
In the Garden of Eden, Eve and Adam and access to everything there except the tree of knowledge of good and evil. What is it they wanted to have? That is just the way people are, aren’t they?
Now however, if you want to see anything that Mr. Obama has made off-limits, you’re obviously a racist.
Why has there been so many questions surrounding Mr. Obama’s place of birth? It’s exceedingly simple really, but leftheads won’t see it that way or believe it. They are just as conspiratorial as they charge rightwingers and Tea Partiers. To the left, any time someone’s questions Mr. Obama, they are obviously doing so because of the great conspiracy: racism. It’s not something that can be proven in all cases, so in those cases, it simply boils down to circumstantial evidence. Yet, leftheads are so certain that the thing that motivates the right is racism that they will scream it from the rooftops and call it out as one dare after another.
So why is it people have been so curious about Mr. Obama’s place a birth? It is because there are so many inaccuracies, hearsay, and questions that seem to remain unanswered.
There are a number of people who are already pulling apart the long form certificate that the White House released yesterday. Why? Do they have a point, or are they so racist and so desperate that they have to keep digging and digging and digging?
Here’s the reality that many leftheads seem to be completely missing because all they see is racism with respect to Mr. Obama. The reality is that for people to be going after Mr. Obama because they’re racist would be so obvious, it’s ridiculous. In truth, it certainly seems to be that people who do find problems with Mr. Obama are anything but racist.
How asinine is it for people who are racist to go after Mr. Obama by playing right into the arms of leftheads just to give the left something to crow about so that the left can call them racists? That makes no sense at all.
In other words (for those of you on the left who need to read this slowly) a true racist would keep quiet about their thoughts regarding Mr. Obama because if people knew them to be racist, that’s the first thing they would be called.
But the left, because they lack any imagination at all, are convinced that people who question Mr. Obama’s credentials do so solely because they are racists. Does that make sense?
Ed Schultz was heard making the blanket and sweeping generalization that the Republicans are racist. He did not qualify anything. He simply made that statement directly into the camera: the Republican Party is racist.
How is it possible that the entire Republican Party is racist, yet the implication is that the entire Democratic Party is somehow devoid of racists?
This is so ridiculous that it is hardly worth pointing out, but leftheads continue to increasingly pound the pulpit about racism, so it needs a response. I think leftheads should continue on their venture of uncovering all the alleged racists that are obviously lined up in the Republican Party. Maybe they’ll play the race card so many times that they’ll wear it out.
Unfortunately, too many people in this country carry a guilty conscience about what some ancestors did a few hundred years ago on American soil. What these same people forget is that the Civil War was fought on this same American soil, with plenty of white soldiers giving their lives so that black Americans (called “negro” then) would be free. You never hear about that though, do you? All you hear is the number of whites who owned slaves, a terrible thing to be sure. If that situation is discussed, it should be discussed alongside the situation that freed black Americans from a fate worse than death.
The level of racist angst in this country is rising exponentially. Leftheads believe it’s due to “birthers” and Tea Party members. Is it? Could it have anything to do with the fact that racism is not in the picture, but curiosity over the fact that too many things remain hidden that’s the real problem?
Could it be that in spite of the fact that 43% of whites voted for Mr. Obama, too many people have grown discomfited by the ever-changing policies of the White House? Could it be that Mr. Obama’s hands have been consistently reaching out to alleged terrorist organization? How about the fact that since he gained office, he has been constantly giving mixed messages, mixed signals and seems to not really know what he is doing.
Could it have anything to do with his past? No, not his time at Harvard, but his limited time in Congress. Where did the development of his foreign policy come from (such as it is)? Why has he been so desirous of spending so much money instead of desperately putting the brakes on since he gained office?
What about his treatment of Israel and Jews in general? He obviously has no love loss for Israel, yet when he was campaigning, he appeared to be the Jews’ best friend. It wasn’t long after taking office that he was attempting to dictate to Netanyahu, but was reaching out to Ahmadinejad. His surly, churlish, and ungracious attitude toward Benjamin Netanyahu gave his real motives away.
What about his declaration that while he says he’s a Christian, he was the first president to declare that this country is no longer a Christian nation? Or how about the fact that while he ignored the most reverent holy day – Easter for Christians and Passover for Jews – he has spent time a good amount of time catering to Muslims. The National Day of Prayer was dutifully ignored by Mr. Obama, so he could hurry off and pray with 50,000 Muslims on the same day. But I thought he was a Christian. That’s what he said at any rate.
So why wouldn’t it be proper to say that Mr. Obama is a racist, harboring an anti-Semitic attitude that he obviously did not display while he was running for president, and he certainly did not showcase it during his numerous speeches to the Jewish communities.
The belief that only white people can be racist and are racist whenever they question the actions or words of a black president in an unconscionable, yet predictable ploy of leftheads.
As for me, I could absolutely could care less what color (or gender) the president of the United States happens to be. But what I absolutely do care about is the direction any president attempts to take this country.
I am thoroughly disappointed and fed up with Mr. Obama’s ineptness in office. He needs to be replaced and I personally believe Allen West would make a wonderful president. Besides him there are others.
What I believe this country needs and should have is a conservative, someone who appreciates the values of our Founding Fathers, who crafted two documents that have stood the test of time and continue to be worth keeping. So far, Mr. Obama seems to have shown a disdain for the U.S. Constitution. He has appointed people to positions of authority that have used and abused their power. We have heard Eric Holder use the term “my people” when referencing other blacks, yet the Attorney General of the United States is not supposed to take sides and certainly not side with people simply because they are “his people.”
If anything, Mr. Obama has unfortunately fostered a real sense of racism since becoming president. He has allowed it to live and grow, ignoring what is right and mainly ignoring the people of America, showing favoritism for illegal aliens (“guest immigrants” as he states) who are not citizens of this country. He has done this to dismantle this country by ignoring border issues and being the first president in history to sue one of the states within the United States.
At seemingly every turn, Mr. Obama has done things that have worked to antagonize the people of the United States, as opposed to doing what is best for them. Creating Obamacare – while on the surface – appears to be a deeply humanitarian effort, it cannot survive without trillions of NEW taxes being collected. Where are those taxes going to come from? Obviously, from the people who are already paying taxes and are taxed enough already. So essentially, Mr. Obama is playing his version of Robin Hood, taking from those who have and giving to those who have not. How does that help our country?
Maybe generalized healthcare can work, eventually. But can it work in the United States NOW when the economy is struggling so badly now?
There are many things that Mr. Obama is doing wrong and he does these wrong things because of how he thinks. He is progressive, which is code for Socialist. I’m opposed to Mr. Obama simply because of his socialistic tendencies, not because he’s black. Of course, to leftheads, me stating that (to them) means that I must be a racist. There’s no winning with leftheads, which is due to the fact that they do not think logically at all. They are stimulated to think because of how they feel.
I guarantee that the race card will be played more vociferously and more often as the 2012 election day approaches. Those who seek to criticize the president will have to be extremely careful, but no amount of care will eradicate the potential of being labeled a racist by some lefthead.
So to Ed Schulz, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and many others who lack the creativity to climb out of the cesspool of imaginary waste in order to face the issues head on, my hat’s off to you. After all, what’s the best way to gain ratings for shows that are not that great to begin with and who knows how much more time they will have before cancellation than to do something that inflames passions? What better way to do that than claim that people who criticize the first black president are racist? Sells ratings, and seeks to shut the mouths of those who continue to raise questions.
It won’t work and maybe, if we’re lucky, playing the race card will wear out its welcome like any other ill-intentioned fad that is here one day and gone the next. If leftheads have anything to do with it, they’ll keep dragging out the race card flashing it to any ghost that moves, whether or not race is actually part of the picture.
No one ever said leftheads were intelligent. They simply know how to strike at people’s emotions.

@Simon
Maybe you can explain why most, if not all, of us who dislike the President’s policies, regardless of the birther issue, would vote for Lt. Col. Allen West (a black man, in case you didn’t know) over many white men/women. I would vote for him over Joe Biden (current VP, white), Harry Reid (current Senate Majority leader, Democrat, white), Chuck Schumer (D, white), Nancy Pelosi(D, white). And he’s preferable to not just democrats but I would vote for him over most of the current Republican choices such Romney(white), Trump(white), Daniels(white), the list goes on…..
The bottom line is we object to the man’s [Mr. Obama’s – ed.] policies not his skin color. The only people bringing his skin color up are the people on the left because they can’t defend their positions any other way than name calling.

Fred, just to give you a perspective outside of America, pretty much the entire world thinks you “birthers” do not like Obama and raise the issue of his certificate because of racism. I tend to agree with them.
You rhetorically ask why people have been so interested in his place of birth? Simple, because many of you feel (deep down in the darkness) that a black man could never be ‘one of us’, and must somehow be a foreigner. Same goes for the absurd suggestion he is a muslim.

You can’t be serious, Simon. I know PLENTY of people – many from Australia – who would disagree with you. I would rather see Allen West any day than Mr. “I’m Progressive” Obama in office. Think what you want, Simon. I could care less.j
Apparently you are not aware of how many people OUTSIDE the U.S. actually believe Mr. Obama was born in Kenya.
