They Hated George W. Too…

Because of all the claims of hatred toward Mr. Obama coming from leftheads and the left in general, which to them automatically translates to racism, I thought I’d do some research on George W., who was not my favorite president either.

However, let’s take a few moments to look at the record.  It wasn’t merely the media that constantly castigated Bush, but the average person who couldn’t stand him did the same thing.

Here are a few examples, culled from a variety of places throughout the Internet:

“George Bush likes to present himself as a straight-talking, regular guy. But it’s an act — regular guys don’t go to Andover Prep, Yale and Harvard Business School, and straight-talking guys don’t pretend to be regular guys after growing up in one of the most privileged homes in world history. Not only was Bush’s dad president, his grandpa was a U.S. Senator and wealthy Wall Street banker, and his mom’s blue blood family owned (among other things) the estate in Maine that Bush still hangs out at. Now, as Bush’s regular guy act is wearing thin, some of his other deceptions are becoming more obvious.”

The above quote evidences an individual who obviously did not care for George W. Bush.  In fact, his Web site lists no less than 18 (yes, eighteen) allegations, in which the person believed George W. Bush was fully culpable in covering up any number of things.

The person went on to call George W. Bush a “flat-out liar,” and then went on to list what they call “Lies, Fraud and Deception to Promote the War in Iraq” and claimed he lied to various news sources no less than five times.  Gosh Wally, it certainly doesn’t sound like this person likes Bush at all.  In fact, I would say that he/she probably hates Mr. Bush!

Let’s look at a few more interesting quotes and whatnot.  In one news source, they opined that Bush clearly had way too much time on his hands in reference to his numerous golf outings.  It is interesting to hear Democrats now complain of media bias against Mr. Obama when all we need to do is search the Internet to read page after page of lefthead pundits castigating Republicans and Bush because they “whine about the right-wing media.”  I didn’t know there was a right-wing media.  With the exception of FOX News (which has been charged with lying as routine), it seems to me that the news bureaus are all too quick to forgive or just plain forget when Dems slip up.

Another site has dedicated his/her Web space to the “worst president this country has ever seen.”  I suppose in arriving at that decision, they ignored or forgot about Jimmy Carter.  One individual stated, “I am ashamed of our leader, as is the rest of the known World as a whole, and we should impeach him simply to avoid the horrors we face with him in office between now and the next election.”

I could go on and on, but hopefully, you get the idea here.  The media constantly made fun of George W.’s speaking ability (or lack of it as some would say).  They never let him off the hook about his golf outings, and he was roundly blamed for the 9/11 situation and for not acting fast enough.  Our lefthead friend Michael Moore even produced a “documentary” on the entire 9/11 situation focusing on Bush’s actions (or lack of them).

The hatred and ridicule of George W. was palpable and unrelenting throughout his presidency.  Frankly, I was not a huge fan of George W., but I was less a fan of Al “I created the Internet” Gore.  But the constant picking and allegations that were tossed Bush’s way was a bit much.

If Bush had done impeachable things, he should have been impeached, end of story.  Clinton was impeached for receiving sexual favors of Monica Lewinsky, which was likely extremely embarrassing for him and his family to know that the world knew what you did in a room just off the Oval Office.  I would still rather listen to a speech by Clinton than George W., though I did not find myself agreeing with Clinton’s policies to any great degree.

Bush took his fair share of condemnation, some of it often swiftly presented from the media.  One thing was glaringly missing through in the midst of all the spite-filled rhetoric and hatred:  no one said the people complaining were racists.

Yet, today, we have our first black president and when people call for his impeachment or something else, it is clear to leftheads that the motivation can only have one source: racism.  It simply does not equate at all, yet this will not stop leftheads from continuing to beat that drum.

It reminds me of the one idiot who was seen at the protests in Wisconsin when the governor was accused by many (including Mr. Obama) of wanting to break the unions.  That issue aside, my point is that during one broadcast from a correspondent who happened to be from FOX News, as the correspondent was talking, one guy a few feet away kept repeating, “FOX LIES! FOX LIES! FOX LIES! FOX LIES!” and even when the correspondent tried to ask the guy what he believed FOX was lying about, his response continued to be “FOX LIES! FOX LIES! FOX LIES!”

This is what the leftheads and the liberal media does.  They simply shout as loudly as they can that anyone who critiques the current president does so out of hatred and that hatred is based in racism.  It can have no other source, according to them.

Recently, Bill Maher – on the air – referred to Sarah Palin in a very derogatory and despicable way.  He called her a “c**t” and justified it by saying there was no other word to describe her.  I see.  Where were the women’s groups who should have at least come out and castigated Maher because he called Palin an adjective that is specific to women.  Where are the people who claimed that Bill Maher was obviously a sexist?

They were non-existent and why?  Because women’s groups don’t like Sarah Palin and neither does the left.  Therefore, they won’t say anything to condemn Bill Maher’s choice of verbiage and they will simply give him a pass.

If someone from the right referred to Hillary Clinton the way Bill Maher referred to Palin, you can bet there would be problems.  People would need to step down or at the very least, be forced to issue an apology.  Not so if you are on the left side of the fence, because the media is also on that side of the fence and they decide what they will or will not take issue with or let go.

If someone on the right sneezes, the left will complain about it.  If someone on the left has a trash mouth, the left-wing media asks, “What?  We didn’t hear anything.”

The point is really simple and even leftheads know this, though they would never admit it.  People hated George W. Bush and constantly threw vitriolic verbiage his way, but he could never claim the source of their hatred was due to racism.  It never came up.

But we have our first black president and that’s all we hear from the left.  I don’t expect them to shut up about it either because whether they are actually convinced or not that racism IS the source (they’re not convinced and I don’t think they even believe it), they will continue to toss it out there and others will pick up the chant.

The only thing that will silence the left with respect to the charge of racism is if another black American runs against Mr. Obama in the next election.  As far as I’m concerned, that man is Allen West and I am PRAYING that he will decide to make a run for the president.

LTC(R) Allen West is THE man who could unseat President Obama.  What would the left do then if West threw his hat into the ring?  They’d have to come up with something other than “racism” as their call to arms.

Racism is being overused today and of course, it’s being overused by leftheads and the left in general.  It is done simply because they have no response to the charges leveled against Mr. Obama so they claim the charges are born of racism, which they believe should then either shut the person up, or give them an excuse to not have to respond to said charges.  After all, if people are leveling charges at Mr. Obama because they are racists, then no one needs to give them the time of day.  They can be ignored because they are racists.

However, if the charges against Mr. Obama are not born of racism, but the left pretends they are, they can still walk away without having to respond.

George W. Bush did not have that luxury and neither does Sarah Palin when it comes to hearing the charges from their critics.  But see, that’s the way the left works.  They could care less about playing fair, because they’re too busy playing favorites.

The left wants this country turned into a socialist nation.  Democracy is not good for the left.  Socialism is, for some strange reason.  What most do not realize is that Democracy gives power to the average person.  Socialism takes that power away, replacing it with a government stranglehold.  Anyone who truly understands Socialism understands that it reduces liberty, exchanging it with a fence.  The fence is made smaller and smaller over time until the thinking is all for one and one for all.

In Socialism, it is not the individual that matters, but the state.  Since taking office, Mr. Obama has acted like he was a dictator of a nation of people who were there to do his bidding.  From what I can tell, he has never retreated from that position.

Among the things that Mr. Obama wants are reduction in freedom of speech on the Internet (under the guise of eradicating “hate speech”) and he plans on doing this by issuing Internet cards to everyone.

Another thing that Mr. Obama wants is to take guns away from law-abiding citizens.  He – as part of the left – states that it will reduce crime.  That is a lie since no government will ever succeed in taking guns away from criminals.

I recently read that it looks like the ATF turned a blind eye to the fact that they actually KNEW people were making straw purchases for drug runners out of Mexico, in gun shops in Arizona.  More than one gun store owner called and e-mailed his concerns to the ATF, but was told to go ahead with the sale because they were going to use it to try to obtain intel.  Not sure how that is supposed to work, but what the media reported on was the fact that gun shops in Arizona sold guns that were actually straw purchases (someone buys a gun for someone else).  Looks like the left is setting things up to find a way to make more laws to further erode gun owners’ rights.

Another thing that Mr. Obama wants to do is provide health care to everyone.  As I’ve stated before, that is in general, a good idea, but at what cost?  Trillions of new tax dollars.

Mr. Obama also wants to find a way to grant blanket amnesty to millions of illegal aliens in this country and he wants to do it without going through Congress, something that is becoming a habit for him.

Another thing that Mr. Obama is involved in (that George W. started) is an agreement with Canada and Mexico to eradicate borders so that instead of the United States of America, it would be the United States of North America.  This has been in the works for some time, and as I say, George W. had a hand in getting that going.

These are the things that Mr. Obama wants to for this country.  But when I am concerned about them and voice my opinion, the left simply says “RACIST!” because it incites and it relieves them from having to respond to my queries or claims.  It’s like saying “FOX Lies!” repeatedly.  Instead of explaining HOW it is believed that FOX lies, just by repeating the phrase over and over, it is believed that this will simply be accepted as truth.

You have to love the way the left plays their game.  If Mr. Obama had been a Republican (just for the sake of argument), and was also a good deal more conservative in nature, you can bet the left would be complaining about him, but of course they would have to do it very carefully for fear of some on the right claiming they are racists.

Once the race card is played, that particular card never goes back in the deck.  It is out for all to see and it can be played repeatedly, in spite of any facts that would tend to negate the claim.  Truth does not matter to socialists though and right now, I cannot think of a media source that has not bent toward socialism (except for possibly FOX).

This is the way of politics though.  The left favors calling people names.  If they don’t like the politician, they will call him/her a filthy name.  If they don’t like the charges that people opposed to the president are making, they will call them names.

Well, they can continue to call me racist if they want to, if it makes them feel better, but the truth is that I am not a racist and I would love more than anything if Allen West would toss his hat into the ring for the next presidential election.

While I’m not racist, I am absolutely opposed to socialism and anything that smacks of it.  Yesterday, I read a blog from the head of the NRA.  He said if President Obama is re-elected, consider the 2nd Amendment gutted.  That’ll be interesting considering there are over 80 million people in America who own guns.  Does the government simply think they’re going to willingly give up their weapons?  If it comes to that, I can see a revolution already in the making.
