Nashville Hotel Caves into Pressure Against Anti-Sharia Event

In another situation of pressure mounted to create change, a hotel in the Nashville area has cancelled an event that at least some have termed “anti-Sharia” because of “fear the event could attract protests and disrupt business.” [1]  If this were not sad, it would be funny.

It is likely that groups like CAIR have gotten on the horn and either threatened or intimidated the folks at the Hutton hotel, owned by Amerimar Enterprises.  Spokespeople for the hotel stated that had they known what the event entailed, they would not have booked.  They received complaints from the public and apparently from their clients.

What this amounts to is caving into the demands of Islam and their suppression of freedom of speech.  This is what Islam seeks to do.  By throttling the throats of people who speak out against Islam, they actually wind up winning small battles, which lead to larger ones.

While I realize that businesses are in business to make money – obviously that’s their number one goal – they also need to realize that when they make decisions like this, they are keeping some people from being able to present the truth about something – in this case Islam – and in essence, wind up handing the victory to Islam without a fight.

There is a good amount of information that needs to be stated regarding Islam, but most Muslims do not want anyone to think badly of Muhammad.  If they think badly of him, they will speak badly of him, even if it is the truth.  This is the worst kind of censorship because it is when a company comes along and agrees that allowing an event like the one that was scheduled (Preserving Freedom conference, who include Lou Ann Zelenik of the Tennessee Freedom Coalition), is not a good thing to do, under the guise of it being bad for business.

But if companies are going to gag organizations and others, then they are essentially playing into the hands of Islam.  Islam does not always choose to pick up an assault rifle or rocket grenade launcher.  Sometimes, they are most effective when they squelch people’s freedoms, especially in the area of speech.

It isn’t that these groups are anti-Muslim.  It is that they are anti-Sharia, which is a HUGE difference.  Right now in this country, groups like CAIR want Sharia law to be the rule of law in court cases involving Muslims.  This is simply a tactic that is used to change the face of the existing nation’s laws, bringing it closer in line with Islam.

Ironically, when hotels cancel events like this because they are afraid of “business disruptions,” what they are admitting to is that violence could ensue and it would happen because of the Islamic element that would likely show up in protest if the event went on as scheduled.  What does that say about Islam in general?

While hotels and other companies believe they are dodging a bullet (figure of speech) by canceling these events, they are simply propping up Islam, giving into its demands.  This accomplishes nothing for freedom and everything for Islam, which if given the chance, would remove all freedoms from all people, except that which is allowed under Sharia.

So far, events like these have been cancelled in Texas and Tennessee on at least three occasions because people are in fear of what might happen.  Meanwhile, Islamists go off on their merry way, with a broad smile on their faces because they have gained more of a foothold into the fabric of American society.  These companies may believe that they have made the right decision, but now that Islamic groups like CAIR know they will buckle under to their demands, they will keep demanding.  Companies will continue to knuckle under.  That’s not free enterprise or capitalism.  It’s being railroaded by groups who demand their way…or else.

Things must change.  Are there companies that are strong enough to step up and stand against the ill-winds of Islam?  One can only hope…

Oh, by the way, if you’d care to let your money do your talking, here are the hotels that are owned by Amerimar Enterprises:

The company’s retail holdings are listed here:

Since it appears that this company is concerned about the effects of holding a conference that brings out the truth about Sharia and the effect such a conference could have on their business, then it is clear that they view the bottom line as their deciding factor.  If people start to boycott these facilities, that may wind up speaking volumes to them as well.

Frankly, why should I stay at, or shop in a place that views the almighty dollar as more important than truth?
