Hating Islam? No, Hating Evil…

It will never cease to amaze me how often I (and other conservatives) are charged with propagating hatred toward Islam.  It usually stems from people who understood little to nothing about Islam.

There IS a difference between Muslims whom we would consider to be militant, radical, or jihadist, to those whom we would consider to be moderate or even peaceful.  The difference is seen outwardly in how Muslims from each group acts toward those outside Islam.

The big problem though is created because it becomes difficult at best sometimes to determine the underlying motivation of each Muslim.  Some who have been seen as moderate all of a sudden come under arrest for planning an attempted act of jihad.

Of course, the most common accusation is that there are “extremists in all religions.”  While this is true, by and large, Muslims are the largest perpetrators of terrorist acts.

Unfortunately, because of political correctness, the DHS for instance, normally portrays terrorists in their literature as Caucasian individuals when this is clearly not the actual case.  In most cases, Muslims are the perpetrators of heinous acts of inhumanity.  This cannot be disputed except by people who simply refuse to believe the obvious truth.

Of course, people like to compare Christianity with Islam by referring back to the times of the inquisition or when Constantine forced people to convert or die.  That was tragic and I can unequivocally say that what he did was NOT Christianity in the least.

There is no record of Jesus or any of his first-century followers perpetrating the same type of crimes against humanity.  In fact, quite the opposite is true with people like Nero and the rest of the Roman Empire (along with the Jewish religious leaders) who really determined that Christians were the perfect scapegoat and made them so.

History is replete with acts of crime against Christians simply because by and large, Christians do not react defensively against persecution.  They normally submit to it.

When Constantine married the church (Roman Catholicism) to the state, what was termed Christianity became the state religion.  This occurred in the late third to early fourth century.  From that time onward, the Roman Catholic Church dominated the Roman Empire as THE religion.  Because of their power and position, they chose to harass, persecute, and/or kill those who would not knuckle under to the Roman Catholic Church.

Most are aware of the Reformation, which intended to re-establish the truth about salvation by grace alone.  This truth had been thoroughly buried Roman Catholicism, making salvation accessible only through grace AND works.

This is part of the big problem with people who castigate Christianity and Christians.  I always differentiate between Christians by stating that true or authentic Christians are the only REAL Christians because of the new birth that occurs when a person becomes saved.

Yes, there are problems within Christendom because people constantly confuse the reality or truth of it with something that is not true.  Look at what has been happening in Ireland for years, between “Protestants” and “Catholics.”  How on earth is any of that reflective of the truth of Christianity?  In short, it’s not, yet it continues.

Nonetheless, Christianity is not a religion that forces people to submit to it.  By its very nature, Islam seeks to bring everyone to submission.  Even Imam Anjem Choudary of the UK admitted that Islam is not a religion of peace because it demands submission to it.

I am not in favor of denigrating or castigating Muslims simply because they are Muslims.  It is tempting when I hear of Muslims raping a young girl because she became a Christian, or when they stone to death people caught in adultery, or when they execute young men because they are gay.  It is tempting to want to insult these individuals who perpetrate these heinous acts because the “eye for an eye” went out long ago.

What I also find interesting is how people like to compare Christianity with Islam and they will usually point to the Old Testament.  Reading Leviticus for example, one has the strong idea that God did not put up with anything that was opposed to His Law.  While this is true, it also must be acknowledged that the many Laws found within the Old Testament were given to the nation of Israel.

It was that nation – Israel – that God gave 613 laws to and He expected them to be upheld to the letter.  The Ten Commandments that most are familiar with generally represent God’s moral law.  This is precisely why we read in the NT that the entire law is summed up in loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and loving your neighbor as yourself (cf. Matthew 22).

The problem with the people in the Old Testament is that God literally created a nation from a ragtag group of slaves in Egypt.  He took those people and led them out of Egypt through Moses.  There are many examples of how often God had to judge many within that nation because they did not want to do things His way and constantly lived the way they pleased.  This was in spite of the many times that God’s miracles saved them from one thing or another.

By the time we get the New Testament and Jesus, we see that His life fulfilled ALL the Law, proving that human beings by themselves cannot do that.  It is because of our inability to fulfill the Law that salvation was impossible to attain to, so God sent Jesus – God the Son – to live a perfect life, never once failing to uphold God’s Laws – all of them.

Once Jesus fulfilled all the Laws and prophecies concerning His life and death, He volunteered to die so that humanity could receive salvation.  This He did and was raised on the third day.

The Church was born on the day of Pentecost – Acts 2 – and a new law was written into the hearts of AUTHENTIC Christians, which separated them from those who simply PRETEND or PROFESS to be Christians without actually being one.

It is not unusual that Satan would immediately seek to destroy God’s Church, which is why there are so many fakes within Christendom.  They are the TARES that Jesus speaks of in the parable of the wheat and the tares (Matthew 13).  The TARES are those who may look like Christians but aren’t, just as tares can be confused with wheat if the harvester is not careful.

True or authentic Christians are not interested in picking up a rifle or a bomb and taking someone out who is not a Christian.  Yes, there are individuals who have done this at times – Timothy McVeigh or the individual who used a rifle to shoot an abortion doctor.  These people are NOT Christians, though they may believe themselves to be.  They are pretenders.  Jesus would never do what they did and that is the KEY.

But being a Christian also does not mean that we cannot comment on and/or condemn the actions of those who perpetrate evil on humanity.  This is Islam and whether it is the majority of Muslims or not who are guilty of perpetrating evil, there are too few Muslims standing up and saying that what militant Muslims do is wrong.

When Harold Camping made his prediction about this past May 21st being the day in which Jesus would return, there were MANY Christian groups who stood opposed to him and his false predictions.  I myself wrote a number of blogs about the issue and without equivocation, indicated that he was completely wrong and should be censured.

Too many Muslims react in anger and/or violence.  This alone keeps many from wanting to stand up to them, but they should all the more.  By not saying anything or opposing them in any way, they wind up silently agreeing with the actions of what many believe are the “few” within Islam who militantly act to bring the next worldwide caliphate through jihad.

People who deny this are not living in reality.  They are living in some parallel universe where they apparently see radical Islam as such a small problem that it is hardly worth addressing.

The sad reality is that if this continues, the problems of Islam will become all too obvious and there will be no turning back.  The idea that by making these types of statements I am seen as a hate-mongerer is something that can only be perpetrated by those who are either Islamic sympathizers, radical Muslims, or people who have their heads in the sand.

It is a bit ironic how often history seems to repeat itself and yet, most seem to deny that reality.  I cannot help it that people think as they do with respect to Islam.  I can only continue to highlight the problems that I see as being deeply ingrained in the system of Islam.

You are mostly correct in your stance against Islam instead of individual Muslims. As individuals they are in need of a saviour Jesus Christ but their ideology or system has caused a brain dead phenomenon and the rules of Islam prevent them from critical thinking. We must understand the Biblical pattern of 2 fighting brothers will need to eventually play out in end time events. Ishmael and Esau were the blessed brothers while Issac was the chosen or Seed brother. This explains why all Israel’s enemies are Islamic countries and why the end time armies aligned against the returning Jesus are also Muslim nations.

In the West, we simply don’t understand Islam because we view it as a religion. It is NOT. It is a total system of control of humanity invented by satan. Islam is of the devil. Judge the tree by the fruit.
The ‘good’ Muslims in USA are not even true Muslims because they do not follow Islams rules. The “peaceful” ones are accomplishing the stealth jihad required and the violent ones are completing the other half of the equation. Both attacks are valid and approved by Quran.
I agree that it is our moral responsibility as Jehovah God followers and Christians to oppose, stand against, fight, prevent Islam in every way possible. This means outlawing mosques in America and removing Islam’s protection as a religion, and no more Muslim immigration. this sounds harsh, but absolutely required. Will it happen? NO. We’re too stupid and PC. And that’s why as individuals, we will have to answer to the sword of Islam on who is Mo. Apostasy of weak Christians and beheading of the faithfuls…..stay tuned.

I am very aware of what you say, Linda. Thanks for saying it in a different way that others might understand.

I appreciate your points and yes, Islam is an ideology, not a religion – absolutely.
