Muslims Attacking Christians

Obviously, here is a case of a few Muslims who either have not read the Qur’an, or don’t know what it means; at least to hear moderate Muslims tell it.

In an attempted land-grab in southern Punjab Province, police and cohorts of a retired military official beat two Christian women and shot at Christians who came to help them on Friday (Nov. 25), area Christians told Compass.

“About eight police officials led by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Arif of Kot Sarwar Shaheed police station, along with armed associates of a retired senior military officer, Air Marshal Maqbool Shah, arrived at the fields of Nazeer Masih in the Kot Addu area and ordered the six or seven women working there to leave, said area Christian rights advocate Waseem Shakir. The women included Nazeer’s wife, Martha Bibi, and daughter-in-law, Nasreen Bibi.” [1]

The tragic thing is that Muslims believe they can simply take these fields and belongings because the people involved are Christian.  “We were cultivating chickpeas when the Muslims arrived at our fields,” she said. “They asked us to leave everything and never return because it was their land now. [We said] we have been cultivating the land since 1976, how could we just leave? This angered them, and they attacked us. They pulled away our headscarves from our heads and started hitting us indiscriminately with clubs and punches.” [2]

About 50 Christians live in the area and have settled roughly 10,000 acres of land given to them by the government and the records reflect this.  What is more interesting is that the Christians are the ones who cultivated the land, making it what it is with the ability to grow crops.  Now that the land is cultivated, Muslims want the land. “Area Christians had worked hard to make the land cultivable, as it used to be barren before the government settled them there.” [3]

The Christians on the land “has been cultivating the land since 1976 and possessed legal documentation recorded with the revenue department.” [4]

But goodness, why let facts and legal records stand in the way of taking what you want?

It kind of reminds me of the situation that existed in 1948 when Israel became a nation.  Prior to this, the land was an arid desert, with virtually nothing there, except a few Bedouin tribes traversing the land.  However, once Jews settled there – with the full permission and blessing of the U.N. – the land began to flow with milk and honey.  At that point, Arabs decided that THEY should have the land and have been putting up a stink ever since.

The tragedy is how the Punjab government views such incidents against Christians.  “Can the Punjab government justify this methodical injustice against the Christians of this area?” Shakir said. “The Muslims are grabbing any piece of land they can get their hands on. They haven’t even spared our graveyards.”

“Muslim land-grabbers had demolished 150 Christian graves and desecrated holy relics to build shops in the Kot Addu area in November 2010, their efforts fully supported by local government officials (see http://www.compassdirect.org, “Pakistani Officials Back Muslim Land-Grabbers, Christians Say,” March 9).

“Shakir said that five days after the incident and repeated appeals to the Punjab government, officials had taken no action against police for the violence done to the Christian women, much less investigating the attempted land seizure.”

For some Muslims, this is the definition of Islam.  They take what they want, hurt or kill who they want and all because they have taken a literal view of the Qur’an, as reflected in Muhammad’s life.  Interestingly enough, there are moderate Muslims who will ignore these atrocious acts and simply denounce people like me who report on what radical Muslims do, saying that I am filled with hatred, or am bigoted, or uneducated.

The facts do not lie and it would appear that situations like the above repeat themselves on a daily basis throughout many parts of the world.  Moderate Muslims, instead of addressing these treacherous events, prefer to redirect the attention away from Muslims onto those who report the events.

This is another form of “stealth jihad” because it seeks to remove the spotlight from Islam and place it on those who report on the actions of those within Islam.  Moderate and/or peaceful Muslims could go a long way in rectifying these wrongs if they were willing to stand up and condemn the actions of these radical Muslims.  They generally do not because of course they are afraid for their lives.

When groups like CAIR and others come out against terrorism, it is done in a general way.  You will not hear members of CAIR condemning the actions of specific Muslims.  It’s not their way.  They prefer to project a united front.

The only people who speak out against specific acts and/or Muslims are those Muslims who have LEFT Islam.  Of course, their lives are in danger on a daily basis, yet, for the most part, they have devoted their lives to speaking out against Islam.

One of the most well-known is Walid Shoebat who at one point, prior to converting to Christianity, was a terrorist himself.  You can read about his story here:

http://www.bibleprobe.com/shoebat.htm

Then you have people like Mosab Yousef, who seem to have left Islam, but when you start digging, you’re not quite sure if he in fact left Islam for Christianity, or if he is merely a propagandist who travels throughout the United States, visiting one church or another spreading falsehoods.  It is difficult to know.  I will say that I personally sat in the audience of one of his seminars as he assured everyone that the Muslim Brotherhood would never take the reigns of the Egyptian government.  He laughed it off, yet the exact opposite seems to be happening in Egypt and other places in Northern Africa.  Was he merely wrong on that occasion, or is there something far more sinister to him?

Walid Shoebat points to Mosab’s guest appearances on Arabic TV where he condemns Israel and Jews.  Supposedly, his words were taken out of context, but Shoebat assures us that he took nothing out of context.

Mosab has his supporters and they seem to pop up whenever Shoebat critiques something that Yousef has done or said.  Like good propagandists, these supporters do their best to turn the tables on Shoebat.

So what is true in the realm of Islam?  The best way to find out is to read the Qur’an for yourself, something many Muslims do not do.  They are taught that an Imam must read it to them and interpret it for them.  Sounds like the Roman Catholic Church during the Middle Ages where the average person was forbidden to read the Bible because it was too complicated for them to understand.

Read the Qur’an.  Find out what is happening in the world today.  Listen to the voices of Muslims everywhere – both the moderates and the radicals.  What do you hear?  What do you see?  It is in doing the research that you will learn what Islam is all about.

Or, you can simply continue to take the moderate’s word for it, in spite of what thousands (possibly millions) of radical Muslims throughout the world involve themselves in on a daily basis.  Something is wrong.  If Islam is a religion of peace, then there are too many radicals who have not gotten that message.

Imam Anjem Choudary of Great Britain has admitted that Islam is not a religion of peace.  It is a religion of submission and it is the goal of Muslims to bring the world to its knees so that Allah will be pleased.

These are the choices we face in this world on a daily basis.  Christians throughout the world are being persecuted, often to death, and a good portion of that persecution comes from Islam; not all, but a good portion.

What is your next move?
