Will You Succumb to the Coming Great Deception? Part Five

obamaoncrossHere’s something to think about. After the “great reveal” in which Antichrist is made known to the world not as Antichrist, but as Christ, it will be necessary for Christians to be ready to witness to this coming fakery.

Imagine what this will mean and entail. In our first four articles on this subject – here, here, here, and here – we discussed some of the ways and means that Satan (Lucifer for those who have been “enlightened”) will use to create a situation in society in which people will be swept away in deception upon the revealing of the Antichrist. Paul tells us in 2 Thessalonians 2 that the revealing of the man of lawlessness will come with two very important factors:

  • demonic supernatural signs and wonders, and
  • a powerful delusion sent by God

Let’s stop and consider something for a moment. Do you recall during the campaign leading up to the 2008 presidential election how often Mr. Obama was shown in almost a supernatural light? Notice in the photo that Mr. Obama is portrayed as if on a crucifix (with arms raised as though nailed in place) with a crown of thorns in front of the presidential seal. The artist who created this had an image in his mind’s eye that he wanted to use in conjunction with Mr. Obama. It’s an obvious attempt to portray Mr. Obama as a sort of messiah figure. Christians would immediately recognize it for what it is and reject it.

There have numerous instances of the world attempting to portray President Obama as supernaturally oriented. I don’t believe for a moment that this is Mr. Obama’s fault. If anything, it’s the fault of the globalists who placed him in office. But more importantly, I believe that ultimately, this came from Satan. It was a bit of a dry run so to speak. What did the globalists (and Satan) learn from this? That without demonic supernatural signs and wonders and in the absence of a delusion that God said He would also send, people won’t accept it.

Even those who like, love, and adore Mr. Obama would not necessarily accept that Mr. Obama is akin to Jesus. It was a dry run without the pomp, flash, circumstance, or delusion. It really didn’t fly well, but nonetheless, it was a lesson learned.

It’s the same when Actor/Comedian Jamie Foxx, in a standup routine, referred to President Obama as “our lord and savior.” Between the painting of Mr. Obama as Jesus and Jamie Foxx calling President Obama lord and savior, among other things, we can all be assured that the time is quickly approaching when the real man of sin will be revealed to the world and his entry onto the world’s stage will make President Obama’s adoration pale in comparison. There will be no comparison in reality. Mr. Obama is probably the last in a line of “warm-up guys” before the Antichrist appears.

I have specifically not dealt with the subject of the Rapture in this series except in passing. I didn’t want to bring that into this set of articles and even though I am a Pre-Trib Rapturist, I honestly do not believe that’s what we should be counting on. It may well be that the big reveal of Satan’s man will come while the Church is still here.

If that is the case, what should your response to that revelation be? I believe that the Christian’s focus should be on one thing, which has been the same thing we are to have focused on since just before the Lord ascended in heaven. Our focus should be the Great Commission and I truly believe we have lost sight of that.

Christians seem preoccupied with changing society today. We are pushing for a move back to traditional values, yet God indicates in His Word that there will come a time when Satan will be able to do almost whatever he wants to do. Traditional values will not be part of the picture.

But let’s say the Church is still here when the Antichrist is revealed. What should we do then? Simple. We should expose the truth about this counterfeit Christ to the world. We should not simply go about our lives pretending as if things are fine. If the Antichrist arrives on the scene and the Church is still here, we should then point out all the reasons why this Antichrist is not the real Christ. We should do that to anyone who will listen.

Think about it. A day is coming according to Paul, when this Antichrist (man of lawlessness) will be revealed to the world. This revealing will be accompanied by demonic signs and wonders and clouded by a strong delusion sent from God. This ensures that the average person will accept this Antichrist as the real deal. Imagine the opportunities to witness to those who are lost at that point!

We need to try to wrap our brains around this future revealing. Imagine someone who comes in his own name (cf. John 5:43) in some type of supernatural even (with delusion) that makes it appear as though it’s the 2nd Coming of Jesus! It will be so realistic that only true Christians will actually know. Most will be taken in by it. I don’t think we can appreciate the magnitude of such an event, but it’s coming.

We will have the Antichrist right there! We can point to him and show how he is NOT the real deal and why his revealing is all a set up for earth! If you cannot do that – if you do not know how to tell the difference between the Antichrist and the real Christ, then you desperately need to start studying.

If there was a guy walking around today in a very important position pretending to be someone he’s not (and you knew he wasn’t who he said he was), would you not have an obligation to out him as a faker? You bet you would, especially if it might open the eyes of individuals who believed his lie.

Have you ever been conned? You feel like a moron, don’t you? You wonder why you ignored the red flags. It’s called PRIDE. No one wants to be wrong. If you were a friend of the person who was wrapped up in a con, you have an obligation to tell them even if they do not listen to you! Your friendship – your concern and caring for that person – should compel you!

That’s what it will be like for every Christian on earth after the Antichrist is revealed. The mission will become obvious. Are you ready for that mission? I hope so, but if not, it’s never too late to learn how to identify the counterfeit.

Great series. I’m not sure about it being possible for a false rapture (unless it occurs alongside the real one) but I think it was a genius hypothetical to show just how cunning these signs and wonders and such deceptions will be when the Anti-Christ arrives to con the world.

God bless you in all that you do for His Kingdom, by His power and for His glory! Amen~

Thanks for your kind works, Sherry. I tend to agree about the Rapture. I think it is far more likely to be a counterfeit 2nd Coming than a Rapture.
