What May Be on the Political Horizon, Part 1?

Anyone who is paying attention to the geo-political scene in the USA and throughout the world is aware of certain things that have been happening and are ramping up. It cannot be ignored, though the mainstream media is doing a fine job Of either ignoring it or putting their propagandist twist on things.

Recently, suicide bombers on Easter Sunday took the lives of over 200 people worshiping at churches in Sri Lanka and wounded many more. Though political leaders took to their social media accounts to express sympathies to the “Easter worshipers”, it is interesting how they could not bring themselves to utter the word, “Christians” as they did so. However, when Muslims were attacked and killed in New Zealand not long ago, these same political leaders had no problem pointing out that Muslims were killed in the attack even aligning themselves with Islam in a show of solidarity.

Of course, in the recent burning of the Notre Dame Cathedral in France, while no one was killed (thank God), this is just one in a long line of ongoing attacks of Christian churches throughout France, to the tune of at least one per week, if not more.

What is clear from all of this is that Christianity itself is under attack. Whether it’s the edifices that represent the Christian faith or Christians attending worship services in those buildings, it is the wholesale attack on God and His followers. While those in the media are soft-pedaling the situation when it comes to Christianity, the same soft-pedaling is not the case when it comes to Islam. This is in spite of the fact that many Muslims after the New Zealand tragedy promised “revenge.”

It is not just Christianity, but patriotism and conservatism that are also big targets of those on the Left. They want anything that smacks of Christianity and/or conservatism silenced and destroyed. They believe it has no place in society.

This is fascism, but the Left dutifully ignores or denies that charge. You’ll also note that every time some tragedy is perpetrated against Muslims, the MSM is very quick to try to identify the perpetrator(s) as “white” and presumably, a “nationalist” (today’s code for “Nazi”).

On the heels of this and with respect to the release of the long-awaited, barely redacted Mueller Report, we see two things happening. On the one hand, it appears very clear that Mueller could find no evidence that President Trump or anyone in his administration colluded with Russia to change the outcome of an election. On the other hand, many on the Left are not even bothering to read the report, stating that unless it is released in a completely unredacted form, it means nothing. Many of these same people want Robert Mueller to testify before Congress. He was their “hero” upon which they banked on him bringing down President Trump. Now that this did not pan out, they conclude that Trump has Mueller in his back pocket, which is patently absurd.

This “circus” will continue as long as the Left has breath. They appear not to be concerned about actual justice, but about their chosen narrative; pushing their conspiracy theory that Trump colluded with Russia to illegally win an election. Mueller points to no such conclusion.

In reality, things are starting to unravel for the Left. Even CNN recently stated that the Mueller report does not look good for Obama and his administration, citing the fact that there appears to have been attempts by Russia to undermine the 2016 presidential election during the Obama administration, during the time leading up to that election. Did Obama even try to block Russian attempts? It does not appear to be the case, though people like Donna Brazille insists that Obama did all he could. I do not recall Brazille being part of the Obama administration.

For her to state publicly that Barack Obama did all he could against Russia has no merit since she was not an insider within his administration. She’s simply mouthing an opinion, one that she cannot back up with any factual information, but hopes will be taken seriously. Then again, this is the individual who is known for providing Hillary with debate questions prior to a presidential debate. She finally admitted it and even said she’d do it again if necessary. So, to her, cheating is fine. All is fair in love and war.

All that aside, several reporters like Sara Carter, John Solomon and Kimberly Strassel have stated that things may not be looking good for what has been defined as the “Deep State.” In fact, just recently, Sara Carter was on the Hannity Show to say that her sources are telling her that top DOJ/FBI people are ratting each other out in an attempt to save themselves. [1] We don’t see this at all because the mainstream media (MSM) is too busy colluding with the Democrat National Convention (DNC) to push propaganda regarding President Trump. They have no journalistic integrity, but are simply mouthpieces of the DNC.

So what might happen politically as we move forward? Let me summarize in two main points, then explain.

1. Deep State May suffer casualties and some may be prosecuted and punished
2. Evil will continue to grow because… a) Satan will not give up and b) The Bible predicts it

There is a very real possibility that at least some of those who cooperated to create a coup to either keep Donald J. Trump from becoming president, or oust him if he became president, will see their day in court. The Mueller report was the first salvo, to be followed by the unredacted FISA report, then the IG report. There are other things that may also see the light of day and it appears that these things will be nails in the DNC coffin.

Things appear to be slowly starting to turn against the Leftist political machine that has been attempting to undermine President Trump’s administration and the United States in general. Will we see justice taking place? Will those who are truly guilty of treason by attempting a coup against a sitting president be brought to justice?

I think we will see this some of this occur, though it may not happen to the extent that we want it to happen nor quickly enough for many (myself included). With the release of the Mueller report, the dam has begun to break and it will be very difficult if not impossible to stop what’s coming. Some sort of justice against some of the larger perpetrators of the constant attacks on President Trump will likely occur. I don’t know when, but I believe it’s coming. It may in fact be that the entirety of Trump’s first term will be dealing with the Deep State and bringing them to justice, while his second term will be used to install safeguards so that this cannot happen again. Only time will tell. As I’ve said repeatedly, I’m not a prophet at all. I simply go by what I see happening and what the Scriptures say.

But it is also very important to understand that in spite of what might be coming, it is clear that the entire Leftist machine will not be held in check. There are way too many things happening in society for that to occur. The political machine of the Left is not merely seeking to oust President Trump. They are busy undermining society’s traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs and their approach is multi-faceted and omnidirectional. What President Trump is fighting against is merely a sliver of the whole political pie.

What else is being affected other than within the political realm? Social, religious and ideological avenues are being assaulted by the Left and this has been going on for many decades. To conclude that somehow God is going to give us the victory over all of it flies in the face of the revelation of Scripture.

By way of example (and I’m not equating Israel with the USA here!), look at the number of evil vs good kings in 1 and 2 Kings alone. The evil kings were the ones who did evil in the eyes of the Lord by abandoning His covenant, laws, and Scripture. They ignored or killed the prophets God sent to warn them. Kings like this chased after false gods and encouraged the people of Israel and Judah to do the same.

The good kings were the ones who followed God’s laws and those were only in Judah and even then, most of those good kings did not remove all the pagan altars, high places and Asherah poles. Even the good kings were unable to completely cancel out God’s judgment of Israel/Judah. Their actions and faith in God merely pushed off the inevitable judgment.

We are living in the last days/end times and the Bible clearly shows that as we continue to move in the direction of final judgment, things will progressively become worse and worse.

As noted at the top of this article, we are seeing the ramping up of persecution against Christians and Christianity in general. When I consider the state of Christendom today, I am appalled. It almost takes your breath away. Too many, as the late Keith Green sang, are asleep in the Light as the Left has made major inroads.

Aside from the direct physical persecution of Christians throughout the world, we are seeing a globalized movement by the LGBTQ+ community that is throwing transgenderism, drag queens, and even pedophilia in our faces. They want all of these things to be seen as “normal” and anyone who deigns to disagree will be quickly targeted for silencing via verbal or even physical assault. At least one public school in California has begun teaching pedophilia to students and high-ranking school officials insist it will continue in spite of parental outrage. [2] Interestingly enough the LGBTQ+ movement is completely silent about the execution of gays by Muslims in Islamic countries. Criticism of Islam is off-limits.

Regarding Islam, it is being welcomed in public schools where students are expected to dress in a hijab and/or recite Islamic prayers and verses. Where is the ACLU, which deigns to sue schools that pray in Jesus’ Name before sporting events or sues city councils that invoke the Name of Jesus prior to meetings? Why not sue CAIR or other Islamic organizations for forcing religious ideology onto students?

In short, society has turned a major corner, moving desperately and quickly away from any semblance of Judeo-Christian values.

What used to be considered the fringe of society is becoming mainstream and we are witness to it, as society becomes more and more vile and without apology. Fascism, vulgarity and even violence are the vehicles used to push these fringe groups to the forefront while pushing traditional values to the rear.

The apostle Paul addressed this situation a few thousand years ago, under the divine inspiration of God the Holy Spirit. His words recorded in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 are stark. Why would we believe Satan would simply give up? Even if God is using Trump to “save” the USA, do we honestly believe that Satan is going to go away with his tail between his legs? Anything Trump does can be undone by another president. This is a merely a limited respite, a brief partial relief, but according to Scripture, things will become progressively worse as we approach the end of this age.

1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. (ESV)

What a list! This is what people are quickly becoming and unfortunately, it is even affecting those within Christendom!

Paul’s words in verse one seem almost an understatement. The KJV uses the word “perilous” as opposed to the ESV’s use of “times of difficulty.” I like perilous because it is more pronounced, expressing more danger. Perilous are the days in which we live and it pays to be aware and observant. We must draw close to God.

Besides the two areas mentioned above, there really is a third area that I did not include that is drastically affecting society in a very bad way and I want to talk about that next time. It has to do with the many leaders within Christendom who appear to be nothing more than wolves in sheep’s clothing. I read many website blogs that attempt to highlight these fake teachers and catalog their heresies. The message of Christ’s Gospel is being seriously watered down today and it is so by people – both women and men – posing as Christian pastors and teachers who are doing tremendous damage to the Gospel because they are literally lying about it and about God Himself.
