Social Distancing Measures are Here to Stay
April 30, 2020 at 11:31 AM 16 comments
You’ll likely recall I’ve previously talked about social distancing measures and how I believe because of Coronavirus we entered a new era where many of those social distancing measures would remain. It appears that at least one big box store chain – Costco – has made one of these social distancing measures permanent. An article recently announced that starting this Monday, May 4th, Costco would be requiring all patrons to wear a mask. If a person does not choose to do so, they will not be allowed to enter and shop.
I’m certain other retailers will follow suit and will also likely keep other measures currently in place as permanent fixtures in stores. “X” marks the spot to stand as you wait in line? Continued in-store social distancing public service announcements? Plexiglas shields between customers and cashiers? Discouraging the use of cash?
As usual, most will not only comply but will think these are great ideas. Why? Simply because they’ll think that if these measures keep people safe, it’s worth giving up freedoms for it. But there is a great deal of misinformation surrounding Coronavirus.
I briefly spoke to one of my neighbors as he was driving by and stopped to chat. He stated that a friend of his caught the virus “two days ago” from touching the gas pump handle at a local station. I just nodded and didn’t want to tell him that it would take longer than two days to become sick or determine that the person actually had Coronavirus. Moreover, there is no way to prove that the person “caught” the virus by touching the gas pump handle. But this is the way people are thinking today because they are in such fear over catching Coronavirus.
Regarding restrictive measures taken for our “safety,” this was the same attitude that cheered the enlargement of TSA so that prior to getting on an airplane, an invasive search of each person was required. Shoes came off, belts removed, pockets emptied, laptops put in their own container, phones placed out in the open. Many folks applauded because they believed if the invasive searches kept them safe in the skies, they were all for it.
How far do we allow this to go? Well, apparently some folks have done the research and discovered some troubling information about wearing mouth and nose coverings; masks. The image shown was created by Anthony Freda Studios and points out what is likely not obvious to most. Constantly breathing through a mask has its clear health problems and risks.
Imagine wearing a covering over your mouth and nose and the breathing difficulties it can cause. A person is essentially breathing back in some of the carbon dioxide that has just been exhaled. Not good. Study the image. Do you think God created us to walk around with masks covering our mouth and nose – the areas of our body that we breathe through? In certain situations it’s advisable and only for short periods of time but definitely not as a permanent fixative.
What I have previously found almost comical is seeing a lone driver in their vehicle wearing a mask. It is pointless (as well as harmful), as health experts have stated that wearing a mask potentially only protects other people, not the wearer.
However, I’ve had to reconsider what I thought was originally a bit comical after reading an article about a driver in New Jersey who, while wearing a mask, lost consciousness and crashed their vehicle. [1] Apparently, wearing masks can be dangerous to one’s physical health. Who knew? The driver’s brain became starved for oxygen and did what God intended it to do by shutting him down with unconsciousness to minimize resources. The driver had only been wearing his mask for several hours. After the crash he was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Of course, I wear a mask whenever I mow my lawn to help keep grass, dirt and pollen from being breathed in. It takes a few hours to mow my lawn on my zero turn so I take breaks from it during the process.
But society has now arrived to the point where wearing masks is becoming permanent in certain situations. To walk around and see so many women wearing face/nose coverings must be a delight to Muslims everywhere. They’re currently keeping quiet about it but I imagine they’re giddy. Who would’ve imagined all it would take was to over-hype a very real health issue to usher in the Green New Deal and make Muslims happy by seeing many women don “hijabs” publicly in one swell swoop?
In related developments, the same President Trump who originally said we didn’t need to shut down America then later condemned Gov. Kemp for what Trump said was reopening Georgia too soon, is the same President who now wants a Coronavirus vaccine fast-tracked so that millions of doses will be ready by the end of this year or by January 2021 at the latest. This will allow most Americans to have arms out and sleeves rolled up to receive the new vaccine.
Will the new vaccine be safe, mandatory and effective? I seriously doubt it will be safe and as usual pharmaceutical companies will be exempted from lawsuits should there be any issues with it.
As far as the vaccine being mandatory, I doubt that as well, at least initially, though others fear they are certainly coming sooner than later. However it will likely be seriously frowned upon if not received. Moreover I can easily see being told that your movements in society will be limited. Maybe you won’t be able to fly without it or travel to different states or shop in certain stores. Ultimately, they will become mandatory.
How will a person prove they’ve received the vaccine? Simply by carrying papers or a card that people will need to have and produce when questioned. Certain Democrats in Congress have already floated the idea and so has Dr. Fauci.
We have entered a new era, an alternate universe where having our breathing orifices hermetically sealed as we go out in society and keeping our distance from everyone else is the new norm. In spite of growing frustration by people over government actions (local, state and federal), government and retail establishments continue to force their draconian restrictions on society unabated.
For those in favor of these restrictions, the argument of course is twofold: first, if you’re a Christian, you should evidence your love for God and people by your obedience to these restrictive policies. Second, we’re told we still have freedom to choose whether to wear a mask in public or not so our freedoms are still factually intact.
To the first reason I’d point out that God does not expect nor want us to put our own lives in danger. If wearing a mask has potential severe negative side effects (like passing out at the wheel), does anyone actually think this is a smart thing to do and God is somehow pleased? Sure, we don’t need to wear masks all the time but when you do, you are breathing some of the carbon dioxide you’ve just expelled. What if you have a cold or worse? You are prolonging that illness for yourself.
To the second reason I’d say that yes, we do have freedom of choice, for now. However that freedom may eventually be relegated to the the inside of your home only. Once you leave your home you may be forced to wear a mask for the “good” of everyone (except yourself). Have you not heard anti-gun people argue that you have the right to bear arms “in your home only!”? Once you leave your home, the gun should remain locked away at home. If they manage to get that passed into law, the next step is outlawing guns period even in your home.
If you don’t think this can or will happen, simply remind yourself of how far off track society has come in just six weeks since Coronavirus began. Did you ever imagine we’d be here? I didn’t see this coming.
But also note that so-called experts like Drs. Fauci and Birx are not emphasizing herd immunity, the very thing that God provided so that our immune systems can fight diseases and function properly. Of course, a person needs to be healthy first and it takes work to maintain that health. However, Fauci/Birx are emphasizing restrictive measures they say will continue to “flatten the curve” and make it easier to reopen society. There’s no mention of herd immunity unless they’re panning it.
The restrictive measures include all the social distancing policies in place now and becoming permanent. Other measures like mandatory vaccinations are on the way. By the way, do you think people like Bill Gates, Fauci and Birx will receive the vaccination? I think they will say they did but I don’t believe for a moment they will.
These people are globalists and ultimately seek the destruction of America’s sovereignty (in exchange for added wealth and security in the new world order, and at our expense). The goal is to unite this country with the coming one world government that many leaders including the current pope have been calling for.
Whether these people worship Satan or are simply sold out to those who do (for their own safety and security), is not fully known. But for some reason they keep pushing the world toward unification. The Bible tells us that will happen. It’s a done deal but I’d like to make it hard on them by continuing to place myself under the guarantees of the Constitution (and it’s barely hanging on). To go along with them is to believe their lies and to actually place myself against the Constitution treasonously and Paul speaks against that in Romans 13.
My biggest question in all of this has to do with President Trump. Why is he seemingly so easily taken in by globalist hucksters? If he’s a genius and ten steps ahead of everyone why does he seem to always get caught up in globalism? It’s not good enough to say he’s “exposing their corruption.” We get it. Most people in DC appear corrupt. He doesn’t need to constantly trot them out for the world to see their corruption. In this most recent case, more than 26 million people are out of work. Many have lost their businesses. Some have committed suicide over it. That’s a huge price to pay just to prove someone like Fauci or Birx is corrupt and part of the problem, not to mention that what exists in society now will, for the most part, become permanent social distancing “fixes” in society with government choosing to shut it down every time there’s another health risk. What have we given up just to learn that certain people are “corrupt”?
What we are seeing is pure Hegelian Dialectic. The government wanted a specific direction so they created a problem (shutting down society based on a health risk). People then clamor for a solution so government said, “Okay” and start reopening society with many restrictive measures in place and the only way they’ll possibly be rolled back is by receiving the coming vaccine. Because there is some relief, the average person breathes a sigh of relief believing that things are going back to normal. Instead, a new normal is created and people eventually get used to it.
This is how Hegelian Dialectic works and government has used it with Patriot Act, with gun control and now with Coronavirus. The goal is to limit and ultimately remove our rights and most are fine with that…if it keeps us safe!
Here’s an interesting image that highlights the stages of genocide that overcomes a society. Read it and weep because this is where the world is headed and most are fine because more than anything they believe it is government’s primary function is to keep people safe even though that is nowhere in the Constitution. Interesting times in which we live. That is for certain.
However, instead of being depressed, anxious or feeling overcome by all of this, we should be focusing on our Lord and Savior! We should be praising Him in the midst of these trying and difficult times. He is in control. His mercies rain down on us daily in spite of the corruption that permeates His creation!
God is worthy – so worthy of our praise so praise Him especially when you don’t feel like it. It’s called a sacrifice of praise.
Nothing can overcome you if you are His through salvation! Praise Him that He is coming soon. Praise Him for His perfection and glory. Praise Him that He and He alone is on the throne.
Praise Him for He alone is God!!

President Trump seems to really want the best for the United States and it’s people. However, I have noticed that President Trump seems to be influenced by others rather easily, more than he would like to admit.
There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx have had a great deal of influence upon President Trump which have brought about decisions that have been harmful to our Nation.
Also, President Trump has been greatly influenced by Evangelist Paula White, who President Trump promoted to the Office of Public Liaison as Advisor to the President’s Faith & Opportunity Initiative paid position.
Paula White is clearly a False Prophetess & Teacher among some of the other 25 Evangelicals that minister in the White House, which is another example of President Trump being rather easily influenced by those that is not good for him or our Nation.
I believe that President Trump looks for the best in people, which at times has caused him to be too easily influenced by the wrong type of influence that brings about undesirable results.

Hi Alan,
Thanks for your comments. Certainly, President Trump’s demeanor leads us to believe he seriously cares for America and does want the best. As you say though, the influence of those who do not hold to this same commitment appears to take over President Trump’s intentions. He began saying there was no need to shut down the USA to now implying essentially that the USA won’t be able to fully reopen until a vaccine is available and everyone gets in line for it.
I agree with your assessment of Drs. Fauci and Birx. Fauci is connected to Bill Gates and Birx has apparent connections to the Ukraine corruption. Moreover, I find it fascinating that Dr. Fauci is now pushing a new medication called Remdesivir, which interestingly enough, has a patent as of January 21, 2020 for CHINA. This was the very day that COVID-19 was formally announced as an issue by China (according to Dr. Russell McGregor on Twitter).
In my opinion, Trump never should have gone with Fauci and Birx, but that team was put together by VP Pence. At the same time, because of alleged connections that both Fauci and Birx have, Trump should’ve fired them a while ago, but not only hasn’t, but seems to generally agree with them and their goals.
Paula White – as you say – is clearly a False Prophetess. Her teachings make that very obvious to anyone who compares them to Scripture. President Trump is surrounded by people from the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and other aspects of the Charismatic Movement. These people generally believe, as I’m sure you know, that it is up to Christians to help “build” God’s Kingdom on earth. Once enough momentum is gained and enough people are jump on that bandwagon, then (and only then apparently), will Jesus be able to return to this earth. The common belief about Trump among these people is that he is America’s “Cyrus” or even the “savior” of our country is akin to blaspheme, but it is difficult to discuss this with diehard Trump supporters. For them, you are either for or against President Trump. If you question him or any of his actions/words, then you are not for him at all.
Every president should be questioned. Every political leader should have to answer to the people who hired him/her. This is no different from Trump, who, while he certainly may see the best in people and only want the best for USA, some of the decisions he’s made tend to offset that at times. We’ll see how things go though.
Thanks again, Alan.

Yes, I agree. President Trump can indeed be puzzling at times. Also, I have always had serious doubts about VP Pence. It is my understanding that VP Pence was highly recommended by a couple of Jesuits to run as Vice President.
If that is indeed the case, that certainly speaks volumes.

Before Pence became VP I took a look at his TW page. A few tweets jumped out at me. One mentioned that said it was “unconstitutional” to deport those illegally here in the USA. Other tweets confirmed to me he was a politician first and foremost. Reminds me of Reagan with Bush Sr being forced on Reagan as a running mate.
I also think what would help Pres. Trump immensely would be if even ONE high-profile person was indicted and put on trial. He promised it and to date, we haven’t seen that happening.
The assertion that indictments are happening behind the scenes is a ridiculous notion. If they are happening (and I don’t believe it), why aren’t they made public?

You make a very good point about Bush Sr. being forced upon Reagan for a running mate. That is a good analogy.
We keep hearing the statements that Attorney General Barr is continuing to investigate and putting together a case. With all of the evidence that Mr. Barr already has, it should not take years to bring these cases to trial.
It seems that the “Deep State” has control of our government at the highest levels to such a degree that it is shocking. It has taken years for this to happen, but it has, and this is the present reality.

And unfortunately I have a problem with Barr. After the FBI raid on Randy Weaver’s family in ID, where FBI snipers didn’t follow protocol and simply opened fire in the Weaver’s dog, the son (in the back as he was running into house), Randy’s wife and infant she was holding and Randy – all died except Randy – Barr went to bat for the FBI snipers so that they would not be charged with a crime.
He’s the guy who is now in charge of the nation’s law enforcement…
I seriously doubt if we’ll see him bring up anyone on charges but I’m hoping I’m wrong.
There should’ve been swift retribution against DS but instead things continue to go on without interruption or letup. Unfortunately I’m beginning to think in spite of his desires and efforts, President Trump will not be able to accomplish what he promised to achieve.
I’m okay with that because Scripture tells us that God allows Satan to build his kingdom for a short while.

That is an insight about Barr that I was not aware of. Nothing is surprising anymore.
I just got back from shopping at Walmart down the street from where I live. Walmart has now got arrow signs marked on the floor which point to one direction down each isle. They no longer want people to go down an isle in two different directions.
In my opinion, Walmart has now gone to far to the extreme. For me, that makes me feel almost like a prisoner.
I probably now will start shopping at Fry’s grocery, which is also just down the street from where I live.

Once Costco implemented a new policy that all shoppers must wear masks I knew other stores would ramp up restrictions. People actually believe that these restrictions will go away and everything will return to normal. It’s not going to happen. While some restrictions will likely fade away, many will become a permanent fixture in America just like TSA’s expansive searches.
I don’t blame you for going elsewhere. They haven’t thought this through. It makes NO sense to force ppl to do what Walmart wants ppl to do. In fact an argument could be made that ppl will end up being in the store longer and pass more ppl while there because they can only go one way and have to go all the way back around if they miss something. It’s just ridiculous but they’re trying their best to see how much ppl will put up with and to see if they can train us like mice through a maze.
In the meantime, trust God, praise His Name and carry on 🙂

A few minutes ago, I contacted the Walmart corporate office and explained my unpleasant experience at my local Walmart store this morning, and that I did not appreciate my experience of feeling like that I was a part of a herd of cattle that was being prodded in what direction to go down an aisle. I told the person that I was speaking with, that Walmart was taking things to the extreme.
I informed them that in the future, I plan on doing my grocery shopping at Fry’s or some other grocery store.

Great job! I’m sure you were polite in doing so, but you got your message across.
The other day I heard what turned out to be a rumor about our local grocery store chain. I was told that in order to shop there, all customers must wear masks. I must confess I immediately got frustrated but then decided to call corporate office. I calmly asked if what I’d heard was true and was plainly told “No sir, that is not the case.”
I then jokingly said, “Well that’s swell because now I don’t have to look for another grocery store!” He said, “Thank you very much, sir!”
In your case, you actually went to Walmart and saw what they were doing and you let them know you didn’t appreciate it. I honestly don’t know where some of these ideas come from but I’m sure they “seemed like a good idea at the time,” only to find out later that it wasn’t such a hot idea at all.

Yes, I was not confrontational in sharing my frustration with the person that I was speaking with on the phone. When I finished sharing my feelings, I said to the person on the other end of the phone, “I will now let you go, and thank you for your time.”
I have been a Christian for many years. In April of 1976, I committed my life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
In regards to the real cause of Global Warming, If you go to your search engine and key in “Climate scientists ignore up to 10 million underwater volcanoes” by Robert Felix, I think that you will find the article to be very insightful.
A few weeks ago, I even mailed a copy of the article to Ivanka Trump and to Melania Trump, in hopes that they would share the article with President Trump.

What a great article and you hit all the key points…Well said/written.
One point that I want to address from the post relating to vaccines for corona virus’…there has never been a persistent vaccine for a corona virus for humans or animals, ever. I get it, that isn’t stopping Bill Gates from trying to find one or at least claiming to succeeded.

Thanks Taylor. Appreciate your comments and info. Yes, Bill Gates would undoubtedly like to get even wealthier from a new vaccine whether it works or not.

Another excellent article.
Thank you.
The times are truly wicked and growing more so every day. When I find myself getting angry or fretful after hearing the newest scheme or lie being promoted on the news or elsewhere, the Holy Spirit gently points me back to Psalm 37 “Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him. Do not fret because of the wicked who bring evil devices to pass”. That Psalm says it all. The day is coming when we will be with the Lord (I believe it is coming soon) and we will look around and the wicked will be gone completely. God is going to rapture us out of this world to be with him. We only have to put up with this evil for a little while longer. This knowledge helps me every day to have peace.
Thank you again for such a helpful article.
