Replacement Theology Creates False Hopes

A friend of mine and reader of this blog sent me a few links over the weekend. The first was interesting because it was from Dr. Michael Brown, who has endeavored to show that he is in no way connected to the current New Apostolic Reformation movement (NAR). It’s interesting because there is clear evidence as proven by Church Watch Central and other groups that Dr. Brown is absolutely and without doubt associated with NAR. The link provides direct access to Church Watch Central’s special page highlighting many of their documented articles concerning Brown. If you are unfamiliar with him, my high recommendation is that you take a bit of time to peruse their material.

I mention Brown not because he’s necessarily Replacement Theology (he certainly seems to be), but because he had the audacity to call out “prophets” in the NAR movement for what turned out to be their false prophecies regarding President Trump being re-elected to a second term. The sad part, is that while he is correct on one hand – that the “prophets” were 100% wrong – he’s incorrect on the other hand – that they should simply “repent and admit” their error.

People who call themselves prophets today are NOT and are nothing more than wolves.

10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds [they are] without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (Jude 1:10-13 KJV)

The reason there are so many who call themselves “prophets” and “apostles” today is solely due to erroneous understandings of Scripture. As I’ve stated before numerous times, I was part of the Charismatic Movement in the 1970’s. I have long since rejected it as being an emotionally-based system that allows and even encourages people to go not by true discernment based on God’s Word, but on how they feel about everything, very loosely based on God’s Word. Today’s NAR is simply the most recent version of the previous Charismatic Movement.

Do not be taken in by people like Dr. Michael Brown. Stay away. Warn others.

Regarding Replacement Theology, the second thing my friend sent me offers some great insight into the whole problem related to Dominion Theology, Kingdom Now, and Replacement Theology. All of these groups believe that we must fight for the earth on Christ’s behalf and that must be done primarily in the political arena and through boycotting, etc. This actually goes all the way back to Jerry Falwell’s Moral Majority, which fell flat after several years.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Up to this most recent election, I believed being involved in the voting process was not only allowed by God but something that all Christians should be involved in. If nothing else, voting for the correct things could work to slow down the process of the coming world order. However, since this most recent election, it appears to many that voter fraud and the theft of the vote occurred. Jovan Pulitzer alone has compiled quite an amount of information regarding voter fraud and was able to forensically determine, among other things, that thousands of ballots were fraudulent in Georgia alone.

But since no one who has the power to do anything about the voter fraud actually did anything about it, it begs the question of does our vote really count? It appears that on the state and federal level, no, it doesn’t. Does it matter at the local elections? Possibly, but maybe not even there.

So my point is that I have found that voting may be a waste of time unless current voting machines are replaced. In fact, ultimately going back to paper ballots would be best and severely limiting the amount of absentee ballots. However, they used Hegelian Dialectic during the Bush/Gore debacle to make us believe something more “secure” than paper ballots was needed. We’re not going back to paper.

Regarding potential voter fraud, I noticed that CEO Jeff Bezos of Amazon does not want his employees to use absentee ballots for voting to determine whether or not the union comes to Amazon because, as he states, voting in person is the only really “fair” way to do things. Apparently, he thinks there’s the potential of voter fraud with absentee ballots. Gosh, who knew?

For me, I’m going to have seriously consider things before I vote again. If I do vote, chances are great my vote won’t count. If I don’t vote, then yes, they win. But do they really win? Is God in control or not? You decide for you if you will vote.

Lin Wood, the attorney from Georgia who began tweeting out some outlandish things including that Jeffrey Epstein is still actually alive, has moved to Gab and Telegram. Gab is a social service like Twitter except without the censorship. Telegram is chat groups.

He started posting a long post which I’ve broken up into five individual images. As you can see, he began with the all caps heading, “WHEN WILL THE ARRESTS START?” Then he breaks things down into our responsibility to pray against the “evildoers” to bring them to justice. He then says that “God promises to meet the needs of those who believe in Him and answer their every prayer.”

The problem with the above statement is that it is simply wrong, at least in how I think Mr. Wood means it. God has already promised to deal with the evildoers of this world (Psalm 37; Hebrews 9:27), and for many, justice will not happen until after they leave this life and stand before Him. God is permitting them to live in the hopes that they will repent and receive salvation. Eventually, their lives will end and their judgment will happen. It’s a done deal. We should pray for their salvation.

God will take care of it in His time and in His way. This has nothing to do with meeting the “needs” of the Christian. It has everything to do with God’s overall plan. Wood is correct in saying that people do give up in their prayers expecting all answers to come right away. Then he makes a wrong jump by again going back to the “every promise made by God.”

Then Wood goes into some depth reminding people that He allegedly has to deal with several others and events before he gets to other things. He then says that He believes “…God is dealing with people and events all over the world as part of His plan to bring change to America.” The problem with this statement is found in the next few images and the remainder of his comments. The “change” Wood is talking about ultimately means that God is going to “save” America from Communism. He doesn’t state it like that, but it seems clear to me that this is what he means.

Many people arrive to this erroneous conclusion because they either 1), do not know what the Scriptures say about the end times, the Tribulation and the time following Christ’s return, 2) they think they know what the Bible says and believe that God created America directly (like He did with Israel), which is a form of Replacement Theology, and because of that, God will do whatever it takes to save America if Christians will ‘believe,’ and 3) they are so deluded in their thinking that they cannot believe God would punish the United States for its sins.

The truth appears to be, as I’ve repeatedly stated in numerous articles, that the world is going to become one final, globalized government system. This system will ultimately be ruled over by Antichrist. The only way you can get around that thinking is by misinterpreting Scripture to say that the Church is Israel and the United States has taken the position of Israel in the world because we were founded upon Christian principles, ergo “created” by God.

Notice Wood says “God is going to The One to bring about the Great Awakening AND the Great Reset…” I have no idea who he thinks “The One” is here. Is it Donald J. Trump? Is it Jesus? Who is he referring to? We simply don’t know. However, from the comments he received on this post, many people are in agreement with him and very excited and encouraged about what he has to say! To me, this marks the emergence of the “great falling away,” (Matthew 24:10-13; 1 Timothy 4:1-5; 2 Thessalonians 2:3), because so many seem not to know their Bibles and prefer teaching that tickles their ears (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

The term, “Great Reset” is coined by the World Economic Forum and headed up by devout globalists. They are desperately trying to change the world for their benefit, not ours. They literally want to “reset” the world with a brand new economic system (like China has now), and to create a larger gulf between the haves and the have nots. Maybe Wood thinks that God will use the Great Reset to His advantage? God will in a sense, because by it, our entire world will change, ushering in the final globalized empire of Daniel 2.

Yes, the USA is broken but it cannot be fixed anymore than Sodom and Gomorrah or the world before the Flood could be fixed. The “fix” that God will bring has to do with His judgment; allowing the final global empire to form, allowing the Tribulation to occur, allowing Antichrist to rise and rule and then through the physical return of Jesus, destroying all of it. THEN, God will create a new environment for the Millennial Kingdom and finally, a new heaven and new earth will be created.

While there possibly could be a brief respite here and there for America/Americans, the biblical reality is that things will continue to progress toward the final, inevitable, global empire where evil will be brought out onto the world’s stage and seen by all. When Jesus returns, He will publicly destroy that evil. Right now, it’s still hidden for the most part but this last election has started to bring it out into the open.

People like Lin Wood are absolutely wrong, in my opinion, and so are those who follow him and ascribe great wisdom and discernment to him. It’s all in the Bible. The USA was not created by God. It was allowed to come into existence just like every other nation except Israel (the only nation God personally and specifically created for His purposes).

Dominion Theology, Kingdom Now and Replacement Theology all do a tremendous disservice to the Bible and to Christians who embrace those errors. Now is not the time to shrink from what’s coming. Now is the time to be sure we walk in His footsteps, submitting ourselves to Him daily so that His will be done in and through us. For those who do this, He will be faithful in meeting our actual needs.

On wether or not to vote, I see it from a different perspective than whether my vote counts or not. Here in Texas it’s not likely to be changed or stolen because we don’t use Dominion machines and we have proper fair elections (except in a few liberal areas like Houston, Dallas and Austin). So, our votes count on the local level (and this goes for most states as well) and local elections have more power and sway over how we live than Federal in many ways. It’s the local stuff that determines how votes get determined and counted as well. Also, politicians WANT the voters to think it only matters who wins and looses and they want to convince conservatives through fake polls they’ve already lost and should just stay home…game over. But, they do look at numbers of votes and which side got how many. It determines things like mandate or how close they are getting in certain areas to turning them blue. They use those numbers to strategize and find weak spots to exploit. And it’s one more way you can stick a finger (your pointy finger) in their face and give them a person objection. However, all that aside, God knows how we vote. He knows the true numbers. There is coming a judgment and and God will hold them accountable who take what isn’t theirs by fraud and deceit. Much of where we are in this nation with gay rights and abortion was foisted on us by evil judges, not voters. Ultimately we elected the politicians who appoint those judges, but still, in the early stages of abortion Americans didn’t go to the polls to vote for it. Millions have gone to the polls to fight against it. I am not making the claim that America as a whole is righteous but God does have His remnant and, by nature, a remnant is a minority. But, as ambassadors for Christ, I believe we have a responsibility to represent His Kingdom that is already, but not yet and push back against the tidal wave of evil and let Him control the outcome. Sorry for being so wordy.

      Great points, Rob.

In my rural neck of the rural woods they actually use Dominion machines and I hate it. In your situation I’d agree that you should press on.

All of this has me longing for our Lord to come get us. One thing all of this hardship should do is weaken our grasp on the things of this world and strengthen our desire for the Righteous King.

Agreed. I fully believe the best way to resist temptation and live for the Lord is to be focused on His imminent (could come at any moment), return of our Lord!

    Hi Dr. DeRuvo,

Great article. On the other side of the coin, you also have the equal errors of the Two Covenant Theory as developed by Jewish philosopher/theologian Franz Rosenzweig from his book, “The Star of Redemption” that even creates a further schism in the cause. Two Covenant Theory is commonly referred to as Dual or Two Covenant theology. Ironically, but not surprising, the errors of Dual Covenant Theology amount to the same conclusion as that of Replacement Theology but, strangely enough, alternately mirroring a Jewish form or version of supersessionism. I cannot imagine the thought of the co-existence of theonomy on the one hand and the Noahide Laws on the other. Considerable errors on both counts! Nevertheless, the link below provides an excellent analysis of the persistent problems inherent in the “Two Covenant view” of salvation:

We are living in strange times indeed. God bless you and yours, Dr. DeRuvo.

Hi Eric, thanks very much for this additional info. It’s amazing how many variants there are, isn’t it?

Thanks for the link. Much appreciated.

I so agree, many only want good. If God does not punish America for the “in your face” sins being committed, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Ganorrah! The Bible does not say our reward is here on earth. As I was looking at the horses today along side the world headlines, I realized that conquer and conquering is immenent. I live on a farm, read, watch and listen to a lot of agriculture headlines. Yes, that horse of famine is chomping on the bit. Pray much in this time.

Hi Susan, I couldn’t agree with you more! My wife and I live in a very rural part of the state. We are preparing as much as we can for what’s likely coming. Our chickens are doing well with egg-laying but that comes and goes depending on weather, etc.

We buy from local farms whenever possible because we are finding that our regular grocery stores are running out of basics.

We have two chest freezers and try to keep them stocked.

I firmly believe God will provide for those who have daily committed themselves to Him. Right now we are doing what we know to be correct – stocking up on certain things, saving our money, using it wisely, etc.

Obviously I have no clue how bad things will get before the Rapture and the start of the Tribulation but it could get rather severe.

We need to trust Him and certainly be obedient to Him in these days. Not only will He provide but there will be far less embarrassment when we do stand before Him.
