Why Does the World Hate Christians, Part 2?

As soon as God birthed the Church in Acts 2, Satan lost no time dropping into each generation tares that would look, talk, and act like Christians. These tares would be used by Satan throughout successive generations including this current one to throw monkey wrenches into the works in attempts to derail God’s plans. Satan has never been successful in the long run and will not succeed. While it may appear that at times, he gains the upper hand, he is always on a leash and it is that simple. His defeat is accomplished and his ultimate doom is certain.

Let’s Take the Great Commission from the Top, Part 2

If we consider the Roman Empire that existed during the days of Jesus, Peter, Paul, and the rest, we would see that the issues those folks faced were often the same ones we face today, as Christians. Yet, while Paul and other New Testament writers carefully explain how Christians are supposed to act in the world, the plain truth of the matter is that neither Jesus, Peter, Paul, or the rest tried to change the society God had placed them in. They saw their job as saving people out of that society spiritually and into God’s Kingdom. This is extremely clear.

How to Ignore the World, Its Lies, Its Folly in All Forms

What else has all of this information overload done for us? Aside from keeping us in a constant state of worry and fear, we have lost our ability to evangelize the lost, if we’d ever had it. That’s on the back burner because there are more pressing things for us to we believe. We’ve got to change society. We’ve got to elect the “right” politician and for many Christians right now, that correct politician is Donald Trump. Why? Because several “prophets” and “apostles” have said so, that’s why.

Signs, Wonders, Tongues, and Miracles of Today, Part 2

This is the problem with “voices,” signs, wonders, and dreams. How are we to accurately interpret them? In the Old Testament – and even in the New to a certain extent – those folks did not have the Bible to refer to, which is at least why, in a few cases, “fleeces” were used by petitioners to God in prayer. Since there was nothing written down to which worshipers of the One true God could look, God chose – at that time – to use dreams, visions, signs, and wonders. He also used prophets whom He raised up to be His voice to many in the nation of Israel. Because there was nothing written to which those folks of old could refer to, it seems likely that God would have offered some measure of protection from the enemy to keep deception away. This was even done to some extent in the situation with respect to Balaam (cf. Numbers 22). God would only allow the deception to go so far and deliberately kept Balaam from being thoroughly involved in it.

Signs, Wonders, Tongues, and Miracles of Today, Part 1

If you look carefully at the many spiritual movements that are afoot today throughout society, they all seem to have one thing in common, in my opinion. They cause people to turn inward. Admittedly, my involvement in the Charismatic Renewal movement was because I wanted to draw closer to God and I thought that to do that, I needed to learn how to worship properly, speak in tongues, and be around other people who were more sensitive to the workings of the Holy Spirit. In the end, as I look back at that, I fully realize that I was becoming very “me” centered. I wanted the experience of knowing God because I thought that would grant me the power to witness and to live a life that pleased God and brought Him glory. In the end, it didn’t and that’s not from a lack of trying. The reality is that whatever little bit you manage to receive in that movement, it’s never good enough and you must press on for more.

It’s All About Dominionism, Kingdom Now, and the New Apostolic Reformation, Part 6

But today, people like Wallnau want us to believe that God’s 45th chapter of Isaiah references Donald Trump, but how does this tie in with Donald Trump? If the Donald is elected, he would become the 45th president of the United States (Isaiah 45 – get it?). Obviously, the two numbers mean there is a godly connection, at least to Wallnau and others who see it his way. But let’s hear it more. I’ll remind everyone that when Isaiah was originally written, no chapter or verses numerical references were given. Those were added much later by translators. By the way, never mind that Cyrus was an actual king over the Persian Empire. Nebuchadnezzar, Alexander, Cyrus, Darius, the Caesars – all of them were either kings or had dictatorial powers over the nations/empire they ruled. This is not the way America was founded, yet too many Christians have made the mistake of thinking that America should be a theocracy. It’s not. It never will be and the difference is lost on the people who gullibly believe the Lance Wallnau’s of this world.

End Times Prophets are at It Again

Evil is on the move and just because that’s happening, it does not mean that God is powerless or unable to complete His will unless the Church steps up. As I’ve stated numerous times before, God is allowing Satan near-free reign over this world so that Satan will have every opportunity to bring his promises of Isaiah 14 to fruition. Remember, his last promise was that he would become like the Most High (Isaiah 14:14). God is giving Satan the chance to make that happen, which is why we are moving toward the Tribulation, which is why Satan’s spiritual son (Antichrist) will rule this world in the final Gentile empire first revealed in Daniel 2, which is why Satan’s attempted public humiliation of God will end when Jesus returns physically and destroys Antichrist with but a word!

How Evil Can Society Become?

Selfishness abounds. Violence in society stems from that. The more people seek to elevate self, the greater the violence in society will become. We can argue until we’re blue in the face about the fluctuation of crime and why this exists. We can talk about whether stronger gun laws would help or if the ability to carry a weapon becoming easier would help. In the end, it doesn’t matter because what we are seeing taking place in society is the growing phenomenon of relentless selfish pursuits. The more selfish people become, the less they will care about anyone other than themselves.

How Difficult It Is to Avoid World’s Mentality

But aside from who gets to use which public restroom, why should pastors be forced to marry same-sex couples if their religious convictions keep them from doing so? Why should men – who still have male genitalia and who dress as women (transgenders) – be allowed to use women’s public restrooms solely on the basis of their own stated belief that they “feel” as though they are women and not truly men? Aren’t we in danger of opening Pandora’s box if it hasn’t already been opened?

Sensuality in Today’s Christian Music

In my opinion, this is what our church services are becoming and people see nothing wrong with that because of the fact that their emotions are involved in the worship experience and they fully believe that they feel the way they do as a response to the truth of God’s Word or His Presence in that service. In reality, it is the music itself (not necessarily even the lyrics) that promotes the type of swaying and/or dancing that so many churches excel at these days. Unfortunately, when people start swaying to the music, it promotes a sensuality that should not be part of the worship experience.
