Evil: Present and Rising Pt 1

More than one settler during that time bemoaned the fact that alleged Christian men could be heard uttering the most abhorrent language and blasphemies after drinking to get drunk, losing money at cards and giving more away to prostitutes. I can’t imagine the wretchedness of life then. Most prostitutes had short sad lives and were drug-addled and depressed. Who wouldn’t be considering this was not at all how God wanted humanity to live? Many committed suicide via drug overdoses.

Lack of Stick-to-itiveness

Christians need to develop a very healthy, growing fear of (offending) the Lord, which will provide us with thick skins and foreheads made of diamond, harder than flint (Ezekiel 3:9). That is where I believe it starts as we know from Scripture (Proverbs 1:7). That fear of God doesn’t just happen. It must be coaxed into being and I firmly believe God creates it within us in response to the our desire to have it.

Cancel Culture is Marxism

In fact, the Bible describes a future time in Revelation 13 where it appears that all forms of democracy will be eradicated globally and without the mark of the beast, no one can buy or sell. This is the total absence of freedom because of Marxism; something Satan has used for generations to thwart God’s purposes and destroy humanity. But what is coming will envelope the entire world.

Closing the Circle

This morning, my wife and I made our breakfast as we always do: two fresh eggs from our chickens, half an avocado, two pieces of bacon, goat cheese, spinach leaves and some fruit. As we gave thanks, I was again grateful for the fact that we have food on our table. It’s very important to consider all of the things God has provided and I’ve noticed when I focus too much on what Klaus or his buddies are attempting to do, it can easily sweep all the blessings off the table.

Revelation: Last Generation, Pt 1

Daniel 7:24 above notes that in order to obtain this power and authority or allegiance from these ten kings, Antichrist will “subdue” three of the kings. This word is translated variously “subdue” to “put down” to “humiliate.” The scope of the idea here is that Antichrist will likely uproot from their position somehow or possibly kill three of them to show that he means business and it would be best for the remaining 7 kings to go along with Antichrist ans his demands. This is further corroborated by the fact that he becomes the 8th king (Revelation 17:11).

False Guilt

Sometimes, Satan will bring up a memory of some stupid deed in my life to cause me to squirm. The more I focus on it, the greater the squirming becomes. God doesn’t want us to waste our time because those things are forgiven and should be forgotten. Now, if it’s something that I’ve never confessed to Him before and something that I recently did, then I need to adopt an honest attitude of repentance. But then once I repent of it, then I need to go on my way understanding that God has forgiven me. There’s no need to continue to beat myself up over something that I cannot go back and change.

So Close?

I would encourage believers to live as though we are going to enter the Tribulation and if the Rapture occurs during the remainder of our lives at some point, wonderful. If not, that’s okay too because God still has it fully under control and He asks us to trust Him. Are you willing to do that?

How’d He Get So Much Power?

During any flu season, there was ONE vax given each year, not many with boosters. No one kept track of the flu variants that came and went. They were all simply called the “flu.” You got your one flu shot if you wanted it and continued on with life. No shutdowns, no masks, no social distancing, no constant testing. If you got sick, you generally stayed home and used OTC meds to deal with it, unless you developed a serious fever and chills. Then you might go to a walk-in clinic and if you got even worse, you’d go to the hospital. At that time, hospitals were not given money by the government every time they admitted someone with the flu. If they died from the flu, the hospitals did not get more money if the death certificate stated cause of death was the flu.

Held Under Satan’s Sway

The religious false teachers of Peter’s day all came to their predetermined fate based on the way they lived and lies they professed. In Romans 1, Paul deals with the downward trend of unchecked wickedness and depravity in any society that always leads to extinction. It starts with lies replacing truth and resultant glorification of depravity lived with abandon; embraced, imbibed and seen as “wokeness;” a perfect description of today.

Wrestling with God?

Yes, God told Jacob he had “prevailed” in his struggle with God, but obviously, there is no way that Jacob would have prevailed against God if God had not allowed it. Surely, Jacob’s physical attributes were nothing against God Almighty, even in human form. I might be willing to admit that Samson might have a chance physically against God, but even that seriously stretches credulity, doesn’t it? No mere mortal, however, well-built, however strong, would ever truly prevail against God.
