Level of Corruption Seems to Have Reached Tipping Point

If these allegations against our government are true, the question naturally rises, why would our government do this against its own citizens? The answer always has to do with money. In this case, is it possible that there are certain minerals our government wants to simply take that is on currently private or “leased” land in order to sell those minerals to foreign governments or entities? I believe it is fully possible. Let’s not forget that China is the main buyer of America’s debt and without their purchase of it, America would be in serious condition. Eventually, China will probably stop purchasing it, but for now, it is possible that either China or Russia are going to be given access to the land that is currently used by private ranches and has been for generations? It’s most certainly possible.

Knowing God in 1 John, Part 8

John emphasizes how important it is for us to avoid sin at all costs. However, when we do slip and fall, there is God’s provision in Christ. It is as we deal with our sin (through repentance and confession) that our fellowship with God matures and there will be longer times of unbroken fellowship because of it, as opposed to mediocrity in the Christian life.

We Need to Pursue Fellowship with Christ

The Prodigal Son left, lived wildly, sunk very low and then…voila, he ultimately came to his senses (Luke 15:17). In other words, he saw the “light.” He began to realize the truth about his father. That helped him see what an idiot he had been and how wrong about his father he had been. His thinking changed based on truth, therefore correct actions followed.

Weddings Are Easy But Marriage Fellowship Takes Time

Relationships, more than any other issue, require our emotional involvement and promised commitment. They cannot survive unless people are willing to put in the time, the energy, and the effort to make a relationship work. Granted, some relationships are easier than others, but all require work to some degree. A relationship cannot last on its own without effort. It is that simple. The divorce rate in America proves it and unfortunately, Christian marriages are included in that percentile.

Ecclesiastes and Vanity of Life, Part 13

Since the fall, not only humanity, but all of Creation “groans” as it waits for the release that will only come from God in His time and in His way (Romans 8:22). We know this is fact because we experience the problems of this life on a daily basis. It’s as if the Creation was actually groaning. It is in pain. The plant kingdom, the animal kingdom, man’s kingdom. Everything is dying and the only hope is the release that will come through God’s new Creation (Revelation 21).

Ecclesiastes and Vanity of Life, Part 12

I also believe that Solomon was essentially implying that everything that is “ordered” (a time for everything) is so ordered by God. Think about your life and what you cannot control and you would likely agree that you cannot control most things that happen in your life. God is sovereign. He is the One who has established order in this life, even in spite of the fall and the entrance of sin. In fact, it seems clear enough that because of our first parents embracing sin, God put several things in motion that probably did not exist prior to the fall, like the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, which states that things left to themselves go from order to disorder (my paraphrase). Leave a banana out and in a few days, it goes from looking nice and ripe, to being overly ripe, to rotten. That’s the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics at work, which certainly did not exist prior to the Fall, did it?

Russia is Seriously in Bed with China By Accepting the Yuan Instead of Dollar

Our nation has trillions of dollars in debt that we will never be able to repay. Since the Breton Woods Conference, America has gone into debt. The belief that at some point we were “out of debt” was merely an illusion. Some of this debt was accrued during President Obama’s term while some was accrued during George W. Bush’s term. Yet, people still believe that President Obama has done really well. You cannot discuss anything with people like this because they’re blind to reality.

Russia Supports Syria and US Supports Rebels

The world has never really experienced peace at all and one might argue that since WWI, global tensions have increased. There has always been some conflict, some chaos in various parts of the world. These things exist because of the fact that powerful, egotistical, self-righteous, deviant, thoroughly evil men serve themselves. They have plenty of yes-men and sycophants that are all too ready to do their bidding in exchange for a small piece of the pie and a place in their coming kingdom. They don’t consider eternity though and that is their biggest downfall.

Wars and Rumors of Wars

When dealing with the subject of global or world wars, it’s good and reasonable to ask why they occur at all? Who is behind them in the spiritual realm and here in the physical dimension in which we live? Maybe a better question to ask is why they happen? If we understand why these wars occur, we are probably that much closer to understanding who is behind them.

Ecclesiastes and Vanity of Life, Part 11

But notice also that for the “sinner,” (the unregenerate person), these folks spend their days climbing the corporate ladder, chasing one dream or goal after another, in the hopes of gaining as much money as possible. They believe that in their amassed wealth, they will find peace. Rarely is that the case though. How many people who were rich, famous, or both were simply miserable? They could never get enough and in the end, they realized they’d spent their entire life chasing after things that ultimately, would be given to someone else who never earned it or put in the effort to amass it. Talk about irony and unfulfilled dreams.
