All You Need to Know About Conspiracy Theories, Part 3
It’s obvious that Satan would want to pull out all the stops to keep Jesus from returning. You see, I think that most people who are involved in studying conspiracy theories only get it half right. I’m not talking about their conclusions regarding some of the more major conspiracy theories that exist. I’m referring to what they tend to conclude because of those conspiracy theories. For Satan to stop Jesus from returning, he must have a truly intricate plan to overcome all of society. This is probably best made possible by using one main group or family of people from which he would direct all of his earthly affairs. It certainly is better than the alternative, which is to work through millions of people the world over and try to bring unity and coherence. I cannot see that working. Satan would need a base of operations as it were, in which to bring his plan to fulfillment.
All You Need to Know About Conspiracy Theories, Part 2
But aside from the fact that Jesus knew Satan to be real, the Bible also tells us of God’s plan for the ages and the summation of all things. We know, for instance, that much of Revelation (chapters 6 – 18) deal with the coming Tribulation/Great Tribulation, a period of seven years in which God’s wrath is to be poured out onto this earth and all of humanity. While there are those who personally enjoy (and profit) from allegorizing God’s Word to make it say something else entirely, the reality is that this seven-year period is noted too many times in Scripture to ignore. We learn of it in Daniel 9, Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, Joel, and other portions of Scripture. God has taken the time to repeat Himself throughout Scripture about the events leading up to the second coming of Jesus to this earth.
Jesus’ Life was Not Easy By Any Stretch
If we truly love the world, we will continue to speak the truth because the truth of the gospel is what saves people. If we are cowed into silence, then we will be guilty of loving ourselves more than we love the lost. That is something we must avoid at all costs, in spite of what the world might throw at us because of the conviction of our position.
Christ, Our Fellowship, Part 13
A society like the one in Man in the High Castle does not normally happen overnight, though that one was largely created by the wrong sides winning the war. That society is dark, foreboding, something to be disdained and hated. But most of the time, societies change over time and with the incremental removal of rights and privileges. This has been happening in earnest for the past four to six decades and has picked up the pace to an alarming degree within the last few. We seem to have reached the point of no return, where movement in society has created change under its own power and continues to do so.
Christ, Our Fellowship, Part 9
To fellowship with God – I believe – means to live in the present as He is in the eternal present. This does not mean we don’t consider what has happened in our lives. It also doesn’t mean we never think about future events. It means that we do not allow those things – either past or future events – to rob us of living in the present because God is at work in our present. He is working now and in order to “see” what He is doing, we also need to live in our present.

All is Vanity Because All is Utter Futility
One day, all will stand before God. Only those who love God (and who have received the only salvation He offers) will be pass the judgment. Even then, loss will occur (though not loss of salvation; 1 Corinthians 3:12). Those who love self more than God will realize that they wasted their entire earthly lives struggling to gain what they were never able to reach. In the process, they will have lived their life totally dedicated not to loving or fearing God, but loving themselves and fearing never finding fulfillment in the things they chased after.
Christ, Our Fellowship, Part 7
There could be no debate. Jesus would actually raise someone from the dead! Jesus constantly saw the Father at work and partnered with Him in order to help complete the Father’s will. This is our calling as well. We’ll probably never be used by God to raise someone from the dead. We will probably be used for more of the seemingly mundane things, albeit extremely important things of God. We will do so by “looking” to see what the Father is doing. This is done by keeping our spiritual eyes open through prayer and also by simply keeping our physical eyes open to see what the Lord brings into our lives each day. Going through life in an attitude of prayer brings us and keeps us close to God. It also makes us sensitive to the Spirit’s movement in our lives so that we see needs and realize that we are in a position to meet them.
Childhood’s End from SyFy Network
I know that people are making a huge deal out of this miniseries, but the book has been around since 1953. In reality, this is a sci-fi miniseries based on Clarke’s book and from what I have seen and read, there is nothing connected to the Bible except the imagery that makes Karellen appear to be like the devil in the way he looks. In the end, take away the aliens that look like Satan and what is left is a sci-fi tale that’s been told in many different times and in many different ways. Aliens come to earth because they want to take over earth for their own malevolent purposes. This has nothing to do with Satan’s purposes as revealed in Scripture. He has been slowly and consistently gaining more control of earth and its people because of his own purposes which culminate in attempting to keep Jesus from touching down physically on this planet when His time comes for His Second Coming.

Christ, Our Righteousness, Part 19
Remember, this time of judgment is not regarding our salvation, which is safe and secure. That cannot be removed from us. We’re talking about our actions, words, and intentions, for which we are accountable. How would God be able to provide us with any rewards if He doesn’t judge those things? I guess what I can hope for when the time comes for me to stand before Him is that there will be a marked difference in my life as I grow toward Him. I’m hoping that as time progresses toward the end of my life, I will be a good student, a good soldier for Jesus, one who boasts in the Lord and willingly submits to Him in all things. I’m hoping my times of sin will be fewer and further between and my actual intentions for the actions and words that flow from me will stem from a heart that is more molded in His image and character. We can only hope this will be the case for all of us, but certainly, much of that is up to us and our desires for God in the first place.
Christ, Our Righteousness, Part 3
There are two sides to our salvation. There is the legal judgment or ramifications of our salvation. This is where God is able to officially declare us righteous and this is based not on any works we have done, but purely on our faith – our ability to believe that Jesus has paid the price in full and He is all we need to gain salvation and a place with God for all eternity. We are saved by faith alone, because of God’s grace (Ephesians 2:8-10). Faith is not a work. It is an attitude, an understanding (however small) that God and only God can change our status from “CONDEMNED!” to “RIGHTEOUS!” Only God can do that. Our faith is what opens that door (Revelation 3:20).
