You Can Sense the Pundit’s Frustration by Newt Gingrich
The recent (and ongoing) attacks on American embassies in Libya and elsewhere occurred on September 11th. As Newt states, even though the attacks were blamed on some ridiculous film (that allegedly incensed Muslims because it called out their prophet – Muhammad – as a pedophile and more), the truth of the matter is that if it had not been the film, anything would have worked to be used as an excuse to riot, causing mayhem, death, and destruction.
Look, I’m NOT in favor of people deliberately going out of their way to verbally assault Islam. Presenting facts is one thing (though Muslims get easily bent out of shape when the facts are presented since they don’t believe many of the facts about Muhammad or the history of Islam), but to do something that intentionally puts Muslims on the defensive is not a good idea. It’s bad form. As authentic Christians, it is our job to present the gospel to them. As difficult as that might be at times, we are not exempt from that responsibility. We might become angered as was Jonah, but that also does not excuse our unwillingness to evangelize all people, including Muslims.

What Does the Lord Have for America?
I wish I knew what God’s plan for America was, but I truly don’t know. I know how I’ve been praying, but the Lord is at the helm and His purposes – not mine – will prevail.
I have been praying that this country experiences a change in leadership. I do not believe that what we have had for the past nearly four years has been good at all. Obviously, there are many who disagree with me and they’re certainly entitled to their opinion. But the larger question is what does God think? What has His plan been?
Why Are So Many “Ministries” So HUGE?
I’m troubled. It seems that there are way too many ministries out there that are simply huge, powerful corporate structures. I’ve touched on this before and in some detail in my latest book Behind Enemy Lines. It is really bothersome to me that there seems to be an overabundance of institutions that appear to be in it for the money.
Now, one could argue that God has blessed them and has blessed them mightily. That certainly could be true and it could account for a small percentage of them. However, there is a much larger issue here. Can God literally be blessing all of these individual ministries? On the surface, it might seem to be the case, but if we take the time to dig – and I mean actually dig – we might come to another conclusion.
Mr. Obama is Likened to Jesus by DNC
In another episode of “strange but true,” it appears that while the Democrats at the current Democratic National Convention have eliminated the word “God” from their platform [1], they apparently have no problem representing Mr. Obama as similar to Jesus.
Was the Church Prophesied in the Old Testament?
God never has need for a Plan B, C, or D. His first plan is always the best plan and it will always come to fruition! It may appear to puny man that God puts in plan B, but that is truly never the case.
Seventh-day Adventism: Is there Really Anything Wrong With it?
It is interesting that one particular article I wrote well over one year ago (May, 2011) still continues to receive comments and posts. The article dealt with aspects of Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Seventh-day Adventism, but by far, most of the people who respond are from the Seventh-day Adventist system of belief. Many write to tell me that I am wrong, that they were raised within Seventh-day Adventism and as such, they assure me that either the beliefs I mention that are attributed to SDA are either erroneous, or limited to the fringe within SDA.
Cairn University – a Pile of Stones Used as a Marker
Reading through the magazine that, in the most current issue, has dedicated itself to discussing (and essentially defending) the reasons for the name change, I am struck with the realization that it all boils down to the belief that having the word “Bible” in the name somehow put the university in the unenviable position of losing out on student enrollment. To me – and I would be told that I am in the minority – this is a tragic reason for a name change.
Crisis in America?
Now remember, a “false flag” is an event make to look as though it is very real; kind of like a Hollywood movie (think “Wag the Tail”). There is never any real danger to the targeted person at all, but the average individual does not know this. All they know is what they hear on the news or read in the papers or on the Internet. Sure looks real to them, so by gum, it must be real!
Daniel Purposed to Obey God
In the first chapter of Daniel, we learn almost immediately about Daniel’s character. He, along with many others, were carted off to Babylon’s headquarters under King Nebuchadnezzar. Old Neb went back for a total of three separate occasions before he finally had finished pillaging the Temple treasures and burned Jerusalem to the ground.
Once taken captive, Daniel and his friends were part of Nebuchadnezzar’s grand experiment in brainwashing. It included being fed the best food and drink from the king’s storehouse. This was the first problem and the Bible tells us that “…Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the king’s choice food or with the wine which he drank…” (Daniel 1:8a). The KJV says that Daniel purposed in his heart. We need to stop and really consider this truth. Is it any wonder that Daniel was loved of the Lord? Is it any wonder that God was so gracious to him throughout his entire adult life?
