Growing Ecumenical Deception Taking Hold, Pt 2
We are now being told that we must simply get along and if that means setting even the fundamentals of the faith aside, then so be it. Doing so will apparently allow the world to see that Christians truly love one another and start to see Christianity as authentic, true, and something to embrace. But what will the world be actually taught? Doesn’t sound doctrine do the teaching as well as a graceful and humble demeanor? You can love someone all you want but if you never tell them about the sin in their life that keeps them from God and their need for Jesus, your love means nothing. This push for unity is most certainly moving toward something huge. What is it?
Zechariah’s Near and Far Visions, Pt 3
If we live according to the desires of our sin nature (even after we have received salvation), we will continue to “die.” We will die spiritually because our fellowship with God in Christ will be broken. Out of fellowship, we will begin to act no different from those who are lost. However, if we do what we are obligated to do – put to death the deeds of the body by submitting ourselves and our desires to God – then we will continue to live and even grow spiritually.
Ten Kings, the Antichrist, and the New World Order, Part 1
Eventually, God allowed Satan to begin again to direct the affairs of men – however slight – toward a unified global system of governance, as he had blatantly tried in Genesis 11, in order that the Scriptures might be fulfilled. Remember, Satan is being allowed and even used by God Himself to bring a unified world to fruition. That is key. However, it must never be forgotten that Satan is fully limited by God Himself and under His control.
God’s Sovereignty Through the Ages, Part 2
Is this how things actually work, with God Almighty squared off against the powers of evil in the form of Satan? Are they “equal” opponents? Clearly, if we are to believe God’s Word, the answer is a resounding “NO!” God is supreme by an infinite amount! God is and remains always sovereign even when humans fail. God has absolute and final control over all situations that in any way impact His plans and purposes. God is fully sovereign, meaning that His plans and purposes always prevail. This is in spite of Satan and his angels and fallen humanity.
Psalm 2: Puny Man Waging War Against God, Part 2
By the time King David wrote the words of Psalm 2, much of what I’ve related was already behind him. Of course, the birth of the Messiah was yet in front of him, but the hard work of creating Israel from Abraham (and everything that included), was done! King David could understand Psalm 2 from his perspective knowing that God had already been faithful because of all the things He had promised and brought to the fore.
Why Are Satan and Demons Allowed to Produce Miracles? Part 2
I find it fascinating that God did not prohibit Satan and his minions from doing what they do naturally in their realm, here in this natural realm. Instead, God simply forbade the Israelites (and Christians as later reiterated in the NT in numerous places) to avoid going there. The door was never to be opened to that realm. Why not? Because those spiritual beings have no good intentions for humanity at all. Their goal is to help Satan bring his promises of Isaiah 14 to fruition, where he will become complete and total ruler of this world and make himself “like the Most High,” (Isaiah 14:14), for a very brief period of time. It all comes down to that, which, in my opinion, is the very reason he makes initial contact with Eve in the first place.
Why Are Satan and Demons Allowed to Produce Miracles? Part 1
We see throughout the Old and New Testaments these examples of what Satan is capable of doing. Again, I’d like to emphasize that anything he does, he does only with God’s permission, but clearly, he is a very powerful being and the fact that he exists mainly in the spiritual dimension gives him the power to bring about what we call miracles, but for him, they are simply part of his natural ability. I also think that this is why Christians should not chase after miracles per se, because in doing so, our emotions will often catch us up so that we will become so myopic that we will accept miracles from any source, believing that only God would provide what we deem the “miracles” to His children. This is absolutely incorrect thinking and the fact that God has forbidden any connection with the occult or dark arts is proof that alleged miracles can come not just from God, but from Satan and his demons as well. Satan exists in the supernatural realm, therefore it is reasonable to conclude that performing what we call miracles are natural for him. However, he is always kept in check by God.
