Standing Line at Coldstone’s…

I don’t believe I’ve ever written a blog here this brief, nor do I believe I will do so again. Could happen, but it’s doubtful, so if you are a regular reader, enjoy this brevity while it lasts.

While standing in line waiting to be served at a Coldstone in Downey, CA tonight, a young seemingly intelligent, geeky-looking couple (that is not an intended insult) in front of us was animatedly discussing politics, tonight’s debate, and the upcoming election.

It wasn’t long before we learned for whom they would be casting their votes.  Young man to young woman:  “Romney is too ‘sketchy’ and he has big ears.  I could never vote for him.  Looks like too much like Dumbo.”  Young woman in response:  “(tee hee, giggle, giggle) Yes, exactly.

At first of course, I thought he was kidding, and continued listening for the “real” reason he wasn’t going to cast a vote for Romney, but soon realized that this was – for him – absolutely solid reasoning for rejecting Romney as presidential material.

Yes, America has been successfully dumbed down.  There is a tingling chill running up my spine and it’s not delight.  It’s more like being tazed. America’s lamestream media has done their work.

Now over to George Stephanopolous who will tell us who won tonight’s debate.  George?

Fred, I don’t know what to say how ridiculous can you get, my 14 year old daughter knows what’s going on more than that couple you were talking about, nothing like watching a debate and not listening, their in trouble.

Haha! Add that the public school system is running along just fine with their agenda! Gets easier with each succeeding generation…
