Why Do Muslims Get the Benefit of the Doubt…Again?

Apparently, Federal authorities stopped a man who was plotting to blow up the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol building using a radio-controlled plane.  Turns out that the man in question – Rezwan Ferdaus – was arrested in Massachusetts for his alleged intent to ultimately commit mass murder.

What is interesting though is how this case is being handled.  In fact, Ferdaus is being singled out as someone who is not to be considered the norm within Islam.  “I want the public to understand that Mr. Ferdaus’ conduct, as alleged in the complaint, is not reflective of a particular culture, community or religion,” said Carmen Ortiz, U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts. “In addition to protecting our citizens from the threats and violence alleged today, we also have an obligation to protect members of every community, race and religion against violence and other unlawful conduct.”

That’s interesting, isn’t it?  I do not recall the news media treating the Norway gunman in such a way.  In fact, the media were tripping over themselves to ensure that everyone knew he was a “right-winger” and “Christian” simply because his social network page stated it.

The Federal government is duplicitous and double dealing.  If an alleged Christian shoots an abortion doctor, no such statements are made.  Why?  Because it’s Christianity that is the alleged source of the problem.  Christians generally do not intend to blow up people or kill them.  Yes, there certainly are those who either pretend to be Christians or believe themselves to be Christians, but their actions reveal that they are not Christians in any way, shape, or form.

In either case, the Federal government has no problem in not catering to the Christian community.  They do not care if everyone thinks that all Christians have murderous intentions (though we don’t).  However, if a Muslim does something, the Federal government believes it must play things down.  Why is that?

It’s either one of two reasons:

  1. The Muslim in the White House takes offense at the generalities that are applied to all Muslims in spite of the fact that there is a large segment of Islam that wants all infidels (non-Muslims) killed
  2. Everyone is afraid that it they allow for sweeping generalizations, then more Muslims will take up the cause

It is obvious from watching demonstrations by Muslims, they are not afraid to use violent means to bring their point home.  The crass double standard is ridiculous and it needs to stop.  However, as long as we have a Muslim in the Oval Office, and his rear guard who toes the line, this Federal government will do everything in its power to draw a concrete distinction between the occasional “rogue” Muslim extremist and the average Muslim.

The problem of course, is that Muslims throughout the world (and in America) are doing tremendous things that leave carnage in their wake and it’s all done in the name of Allah, Satan himself.

That’s another thing.  I am tired of people saying that God or Allah is the same.  “We all worship the same God.”  No, we don’t.  I beg to differ.  The god of Islam is not at all the same God that I worship and when push comes to shove, Muslims will attach themselves to Allah.  Though the “term” Allah (they say) is essentially just a name they call their god, it has no connection at all with the God of the Bible.

Interesting though that I was reading the list of comments that followed this story and one blazingly intelligent person wrote, “Rezwan Ferdaus. Another Tea Bag Christian no doubt” which simply shows the level of stupidity that exists in some people.  Either the individual who wrote that is completely brain-dead or he/she simply wrote it to start an argument because he/she is a troll.  The latter is most likely, yet the former might also apply.

The reality is that it is very difficult to trust what the leaders within the Islamic community tell us.  We hear the anti-Semitism from Ahmadinejad and numerous others from the Middle East and they do not have to filter their words through the politics of the USA or any other civilized country.  They can say what they want and be done with it and who cares what the world thinks?

I have to applaud the FBI for being on top of this.  I cannot imagine having to do this much anti-terrorist work just to stay a few steps ahead of the people who want to bring this country down and kill as many innocent individuals as possible.

If not all Muslims think and want to act as someone like Rezwan Ferdaus did, then they need to be standing up and shouting their radical brothers down.  To remain silent is to be a partner to it.
